Late Blog Perhaps?

Our car needs the transmission fixed. There are NO cars available from Enterprise. Nathan's ipad died so he is sitting at apple for 2.5 hours to be seen without an appointment. He now has a replacement and is crabbing about transferring everything. Ooops I think its almost done.

I have finished 3 more dogs wash and groom. I want to get in the pool. Fat chance but I will try. We are feeding the dogs in a few minutes.

Sage is a handful. Let me explain. She runs up and down the full flight of stairs. She attempts to jump on the couch repeatedly and almost makes it. She is persistent. She jumps off the couch despite being told no. She gets involved outside and fits under the deck through the lattice openings. Poor thing cried for her sister off and on for 2 days. It was killing my heart. If a dog says no and growls no she persists. Who me - you can't be serious. She knocks the water dishes over and puts her feet in them. She was howling when you left the room so we left her in the other room till she stopped. It took her 4 times till she stopped whining for attention. It sounds like she is a brat and she is. She steals toys. She has been known to grab an antler out of Stone's mouth when she already has one. She is endearing and she will finally get it but we knew about 4 weeks that she had this personality and by 8 weeks it was full blown. I think this is Saffron's first step over the line baby. She really is lovely but she really is a brat.

Here is today's gallery. Tomorrow Siopoa, Dimsum, Oreo, Tiny, Raylon, Monty, Mac and Farley and Clarity depart. We had a full house. :-)

June 1st its Mr. Nathan's birthday and June 2nd is Sherry's birthday!

I do not have the whelping areas set up. It's been too crazy busy but plan to have a gin and tonic tonight and start at it. The gin and tonic is just because. Nathan is going to watch tv and snuggle with the dogs. Hmm why can't we trade places? I sat down on the outdoor couch today and got attacked by the dogs. It was a riot.

Oh and Ziggy wants to swim. No one else does... not even Ella today. hmmmm

If you put a layer of water on the blue mat Oreo wriggles all over it. It's so funny! You will see it in the  gallery.

I guess I best shut my fingers down. I need to get two whelping areas ready.

Wow, she is a full time job on her own.
She is gorgeous though.
She will turn out good I am sure.

Sage sounds like a big challenge. You have the experience to manage her. Imagine a first time puppy owner trying to sort out her strong personality. Oh my.

Sage sounds like a doggie I know well 😊

An adorable puppy brat ... an ok problem to have 😊

Wow. Just wow. Never a dull moment, but I bet a dull moment sounds good about now!

I so want a dull moment!

Great gallery, love the little one in #9675. I may be seeing things but I thought I saw your new gazebo (black) and another one with a beige cover close by. I may have missed something in the past blogs. The dogs look happy in the backyard.

Never a dull moment for you. We miss you guys!
It’s been too long. Dallas needs to come for a visit and back to you for grooming. Sage sounds adorable and quite the handful. Who better then you and Nathan to show her the way.

It sounds like Sage is a free spirit - naughty but nice!

Is that Ella in photo? Whomever, a dead ringer for Laci's face, expression and pose.

Amazing! Gorge of course!!!! :-)

9675 is Marlee with her mouth open?

Yes, we got a new gazebo and yes, it was in the blog. The other beige one is just a popup that we have always had. It's getting a bit ragged but works. I love the new gazebo. It is 12x14. It weighs 450lbs. We had someone other than family assemble it. LOL I do have the netting up so we can sit in it at night but I have not put the curtains up as I figure they would just get peed on. The netting is pushed up and unreachable unless we need it. If anyone gets skunked this year, Nathan has a bedroom outside. LOL Then I will put the curtains up.

This photo above is Winston. He is a Roxie pup.

May 30, 2018 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Winston is a doll, but I guess I'm partial since he looks like my girl. :-)

I knew about the new gazebo, was just wondering about the beige cover, now I get it...being a popup

Marlee is a riot, gotta love her!

When I have Winston, Rusty and Rocky together, you realize how similar Roxie's pups are.

May 30, 2018 | Registered CommenterDarlah

Really Winston does look like Rusty.

Darlah I don't know how you do it. You just go. Hope you get to celebrate with Nathan on his Birthday without pups. I like the idea of a gazebo. But we have a small backyard. Enjoy when you can. It would be nice if you could sit out at night. But how would you find the time?

Everyone says you have to make time but I just finished getting the whelping boxes up. Must laugh... not enough hours

I'd say Sadie has a few of Sage's traits.....sisters! She'll steal treats from Marlee if she can, always checks to make sure Marlee isn't getting something better than her (and she isn't). She loves loves loves a lot of attention. We love her spirit and she makes us smile and keeps us on our toes every day!

May 31, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterPatt

Yeah Patt - rather mischievous souls, aren't they. I noticed Sadie still responds to Thyme as I made the mistake - old habits. So I said Thyme, Sadie, Sadie, Thyme and she cocked her head as if to say have you LOST YOUR MIND?

May 31, 2018 | Registered CommenterDarlah

This little wild Sage is cracking me up! Did you have another dog who is as mischievous as Sage? If yes, how would they change in 2 years age?
Interesting how Sadie steals treats from Marlee, does Marlee tell her off?

So glad you are the ones raising Sage ! You know how to tame her.

I was going to say the same as my mom, she looks so much like Laci here!
very cute.

Well, wait till you see Laci's new short summer do . . . . which I did not ask for! <sigh> She looked like Winston yesterday.

Oh well, hair grows. :-)

May 31, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterDebi&Laci

Very mischievous, for sure, and i really enjoy a mischievous dog. Very smart too. I'm sure she'll always respond to both names.......she won't forget!

May 31, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterPatt

No, unfortunately Marlee doesn’t tell Sadie off. She just looks bewildered and I step in and straighten things out. On the very odd occasion, if Sadie approaches with naughty intentions, Marlee will growl and Sadie will back off.
