Birthday, Family and Dawgs

This is Sadie holding court. She's a riot. Nathan keeps saying remind me why we didn't keep her? I said Patt loves her so. He said yes that is what makes it right - the right fit!

We are late doing blogs as we had some family over and swimming. I had to do lots of grooming after. argh Now I am blogging it.

Here is today's gallery.

Ella is still jumping in the pool so no labor there. heh Maybe we will get a couple of good sleeps before the craziness of Dennis doing all night shifts begins. Please I so want.

I am going out to eat lunch with Sherry and enjoy the pool after. it's her birthday! So tomorrow may be late on blogs.

Now Nathan is finishing up his birthday in a sea of dogs. It can't get better than that!

Great gallery of humans having fun in the pool and dogs enjoying themselves. Love the photo of the two in 9826, not sure who they are. So cute to see one pawing the other. Glad Nathan had a great birthday. I thought that Cinnamon and Ella were due around June 7 or 8?

Happy Birthday Sherry! Sending you big hugs. Enjoy your lunch with Darlah!

9826 is Miko the havanese and Moxie the havanese. Moxie is a Spicy pup.

Cinnamon and Ella are due June 4th indicated by the progesterone - who both had it done. We do not usually do progesterone (150 each test and we had to do 3 for each) but as Ella refused to breed, we needed to know when she was prime. So, we decided to bite the bullet and do the same with Cinnamon. June 4th means you have a 3 day window either way depending on the eggs. If they were overdue to be fertilized - they were actually 1 day late than prime, its most likely earlier than later. Next time we will allow Cinnamon to breed when she desires and she will most likely have more pups. I think for your 1st litter, an overabundance of pups is not the best. Average is 4-6 but as we know Cinnamon's line can have more. My thoughts are with the moms. If she is a great mom, then we will allow multiple breedings. We will most likely breed them their next heat if all goes well.

Oh my the dogs had fun swimming ! Since Ella is such a swimmer, I wonder what she will do when she has babies to look after and everyone else is swimming ??

I hope she forgets about swimming till they are 4 weeks old :-) Then they will be eating some food and she can have time to swim. :-)
