Early Blogs and Fun Times

Well rain was here in the morning and its coming again. Here they are saying - LET me in. I hear it is going to rain and well some of us do not like the rain.

Here is the gallery.

I am in the midstream stage of grooming all dogs. Some will appear to be groomed - some won't as when I clicked I hadn't got to them.

We took Inula into the vet today for a pregnancy xray. Yeah, you heard that. Although we never saw any connection and she was kept separate, we figured best as nightmares can happen. You see Inula has been nesting, carrying toys. She has leaking milk and she has this tummy which led us to believe we may be losing our minds. Best to know. Even though my mind says impossible, her body and nesting was saying... we best check. I was SOOOOOO stressed last night as Dennis kept thinking she was and feeding the thoughts. Well, she is not pregnant but she is having a full blown false pregnancy. The poor vet took xrays from all sorts of angles and well its not cheap. I almost told Dennis she was having 16 pups just to get back at him but I didn't. Not in my makeup. What brought on the false pregnancy? Perhaps Cinnamon and Ella. I will tell you that she has enough milk for 16 puppies. hahahahaha

So that was my day - and last night. Tonight we have class with the monster - ooops the sweeties Sage. She was a compliant thing for her bath as long as I fed her treats. Wait till she finds out she is not having supper.

The dogs found the rabbit that is seriously as large as them and they chased that rabbit all over the place and getting them not to was hard. Guess who was leading the pack? Farley, Clarity, Brewer and Sadie. They were all working with each other to corner it. I never saw a working team so tight. It was as if they said you go there, I will go there etc. I do believe they thought this was grand fun. I doubt the rabbit did. Maybe it will leave my tomatoes alone. Fat chance....

I want to go in the pool but I want to take a nap, Poor Nathan slept with Inula in the other room just in case so he could watch her.  I said now you know how I feel when I do this with the mothers.

I need a break from possibilities.

Funny to hear about the dogs chasing the rabbit - after me writing you about that today. Laci will chase as long as the rabbit runs. Rabbit stops - so does Laci. I suspect she's intimidated that Ms Rabbit is as big as she is. I still think Ms R is nesting, but see she is indeed eating my ground cover as she likes the roots. She did a lot of damage in a short period of time today. Obvious she's not a bunny, but I guess a Jack Rabbit. I would like to keep the balance of nature and please all, but do not like the big hole in my garden. <sigh>

Glad to hear Inula is not pregnant as I suspect that was not in your plan.

Oh my goodness, I am so glad for you Inula is not pregnant. What would you have done, the pups would not have been purebred. Oh my!

Like I SAID I didn't think it was possible but the round tummy, the milk dripping and I mean dripping and the nesting made us question that something we didn't see happened despite she was always separated.

I never want it to occur but if she was pregnant, we would love the pups. Do what is right for them and find them homes for free. It would of cost us in a huge way but we would do right by them.

I shared with you - could have said nothing but that would be so unlike me as it was interesting what your mind does to you when presented with a false pregnancy.

All this despite she was in heat when Ella and Cinnamon was so she should have already had pups, if pregnant. None of it made sense but her body was saying I am pregnant. Never had a gal have dripping milk and have a false pregnancy.

It was a mind F*&K to be blunt and yes not fun even though we knew it was impossible her body was saying it was possible. So, we did xrays.

Our vet said these would have been gorgeous pups. geez She personally thinks Inula is drop dead gorgeous. If I knew a good home for her, I would place her. She is a grand champion show dog but I do not want to breed tibetan terriers. We love her but if we are not breeding her, I need to assess this. It's not fair if she is going to have false pregnancies like this.

Is there a reason why you don’t just spay Inula? She has a great home with people she loves who love her back. Motherhood doesn’t have to be part of her path, she seems pretty fufilled being part of the pack. Maybe assessing is the best thing you can do right now. Poor girl must be so confused by what’s going on with her body right now.

I was expected to breed her to continue her line. It is why she has not been spayed yet but we are discussing it. I do not want her going through another false pregnancy like this.

Oh boy ... I was holding my breadth reading the blog.
Decisions, Decisions.
I see Farley has taken up with Sage ... or is it the other way around. He is such a ladies man, almost always seen hanging out with the gals.
that is a great pic of him and her on the chaise and her chewing the grass.
I have rabbits as well, although I've seen very few since putting up the fence and now that I'm there on a regular basis and with the dogs (although one white tail was brazen enough to appear last weekend while the dynamic duo were with you).

Oh my what excitement. Poor everyone but especially Inula. Just what you needed! NOT. What an agonizing night. I hope that Inula can stay. I think she loves everyone. How old is she?
