Rain, Rain, Rain
This is what we look like when we go outdoors to do our duty and its raining. This is Amy that I just clicked. I need to brush her out again - 3rd time today and I have a heavy grooming schedule today.
We do not have a gallery today. It is getting way too busy. Sage has her last puppy class and she will start another in August.
So many are going away for the holiday weekend last minute. Could it be that it is supposed to be warm?
Dani gets her surgery tomorrow. I am told no visiting as she will be on morphine and Tracy our daughter will be taking care of her. I said we will go when it gets quiet. Otherwise we will show her the dogs on facetime as Adele and River are here.
That's it for today!

Nathan has his brother over on Saturday to swim. I am going to let them have their time together. They thought his brother had celiac. Instead he got diagnosed with a rare blood cancer. It is rather depressing and all with Nathan;s dad - his brother and surgery for Dani. We will survive but it does lend some heavy weight on you. Nathan is the oldest of 6.
So sorry to hear about Nathan's brother, Darlah - - as the saying goes, when it rains, it pours! So nice for them to have some q-time over the weekend.
Well, it literally is raining today and so much for photos around the pool of my Granddaughter and Grandson in their Grad outfits! (cousins). :-) But, we will manage.
Laci hates the rain. I swear she knows when it's about to come and wants to go out before it does. She has trained me to let her out at wee hours of the night as when we do that she comes in the door and then it pours! So, now when it is raining and she wants to go out, she'll stare outside, do a turnabout and walk away. Even now, when I see the rain has stopped or at least slowed down I will call her to go out for her business and she will come racing.
I'll say it again, these little Havs are brilliant! And, when you add the ultimate cuteness, well, that's a dog made in heaven! :-)
We will be thinking about Dani tomorrow. Hope it all goes well. Too bad about Nathan’s brother. It will be good for the two to have quality time. Life is precious, no doubt about it.
Debi, your story is funny about Laci. Spicy does not like to get her feet wet. She totally knows when it has poured and the grass is wet. She stays as close to the patio as possible, and sometimes even does her business on the patio. We don’t mind that as we pick up right away but it’s so funny to watch her. Cooper is not as bad but not far behind. For their last pee of the night, when it’s pouring, Russell takes one out at a time, picks them up, covers them with a golf umbrella and puts them on the grass....talk about precious LOL!
Best wishes to Dani tomorrow. And to Nathan’s brother and father.
Anne, Trigger also hates to get his feet wet. Maybe it’s hereditary.
All our positive thoughts are w/ Dani tomorrow. I do have great faith and admiration in Sick Kids, where I believe you said she was. We've had our children and one grandchild there for procedures and all magnificent results! You will too!!! Believe in that!
Anne, thanks for reminding me Dani's procedure is tomorrow.
Yes, these little ones are so funny! Since I don't mind interrupted sleep as wake up completely on a whisper, if Miss Laci misses the rain that's a good thing! LOL
She zig zags me thru the park like she's my lead thru piles of grass, leaves and puddles, avoiding them all so thoughtfully. She makes me smile all thru our walk.
I tend to wonder why I see people walk their dogs and even children w/ phones, b/c I have the greatest time enjoying the quiet of the park and it's wildlife. A special time of the day for me.
Our best wishes for tomorrow!
Very best wishes to Dani tomorrow. She has been through so much in her short life. I wish Nathan and his brother great quality time too. Take care, all of you. ❤️
Positive thoughts and prayers for Dani.
I hope that Nathan and his brother get to share some good moments together.
Love the stories about Havanese and not liking to get their feet wet. In the early morning or after a rain, Kona actually tries to walk in the garden on the mulch.
Darlah the weather is supposed to be very hot over the weekend you will want to be in the pool with the dogs.
Sending positive vibes to Dani. Sick Kids is amazing. Good that Tracy will be there. I am sure this weekend will be very difficult for all of you. I understand quality time is important for Nathan and his brother. My sister had brain cancer and our time together was precious and I still remember it warmly. That being said there are amazing treatments these days. Cancer can be treated. I hope Nathan's brother's is treatable. Darlah you have a lot of love in your house and I good things will happen. Sam has his surgery on Tuesday.
