Short Blog Today
I have a short blog as I spent the morning at the doctors then to xrays and then to decompression and a mini massage just of the area. I was better after I left after the massage but I need another one now.
I am not supposed to lift. I am to sit on a chair and groom with ice packs for 7 to 10 days. That's going to be fun. He feels I must have twisted quickly the wrong way and my lower back area is really swollen and my leg gets numb. I have to ice pack it as much as I can. Enough about me. I have a bunch of dogs to do so I hace to get over it.
The puppies LOVE, LOVE, LOVE running and the dogs had fun saying hello to Leti puppies. There are adorable photos in the gallery on the Letu blog. Of course they are too young to play but they did get to kiss through the bars.
Pippin arrived tonight. I can't believe how very fast Ali and Sky's running has become.
Nathan went to class without me. I couldn't go as those stairs would be way too much. I wanted to but I want this back healed.

Back pain. Nothing quite like it. Get your rest and be well.
Darlah I am so sorry to hear about your pain and I am sorry you do not appear to believe in chiropractors. It would save you days of discomfort.
Be careful with the grooming.
Ronnie: Yes, I had a mother that had a lifetime of corrections via a chiropractor. So, yes, I am concerned about getting adjusted the wrong way and always needing care.
I don't think Chiros are for everyone. But, I will say they helped my husband and my daughter for which I'm very appreciative. I went many times over the years (decades) and had either no relief or was worse. Physio is the best route for me and many.
Darlah, hope you find something that works for you.
Just catching up on the blogs. I hope your back gets better soon. I've twisted my back in the shower just by washing my hair. It hurts and it takes a while to get better. Physio has always worked for me, wouldn't go to a chiropractor. Russell has in the past and it helped. He did his research and had total faith in the guy (he's the Toronto Argonauts team Chiropractor, not that it means anything but he's good). Everyone is different and we must do what we think is best for us.
Was looking at the gallery and I'm impressed at how green your grass is, ours is so brown. The doggies seem to enjoy the outdoors.
I'm also just catching up on blogs. You know I have lower back issues and can never sit or just stand in place for any length of time. When it's bad, it's usually because I twisted the wrong way, inflammation sets in and then there's pressure on the nerves. Sounds like that's what you've done. I suggest anti inflammatory eat if you can take them - and let it heal before you push it too much. Massages and stretching are part of my regular routine. I hope you feel better soon.
I do agree that chiros are not for everyone and you must have a good one or it can get worse. So if at all worried do not go.
I've had a number of back injuries over the years and had great success with my chiropractor but regardless of where you get your help, these injuries just don't heal quickly and it is so easy to re-injure yourself. So do take care of yourself. Back pain is no fun !
What is his name as I went years back to the Toronto argonauts team doctor for my knee and he put a blue thingie on my leg. But he had an office here in Richmond Hill. Wonder if he moved. Hard to do the Toronto team from Montreal. :-)
We shall see how the back goes. My dogs are getting a mess. Wish nathan would do them but every now and then I comb one out. have to or I will have a disaster. I am not supposed to be lifting but Nathan is in bed with a headache so it is what it is.
Dwight Chapin, Hight Point Wellness enter, still in GTA
Dwight treated me too for tennis elbow but as physio not chiro. We know him well, he helped me sept up a wellness clinic at my previous employer, still going strong with my former employer
No disrespect to Dr. Chapin but "Blue Thingie Chiropractors" is a great name for his office, Tom loves it!
We hear the "Red thingies" are popular too!π
Bottom line IMHO, we do whatever works for us. Now, back to the doggies and their world πΆπ
My motto is whatever works for us. Now, letβs go back to the most important thing, our doggie world πΆππ
Didnβt mean to post twice, but hey, I did!
