Calendar, Cold and Short

If I didn't have a calendar to remind me what I had to get done, I think I would be lost. This is Oscar. He's not one of ours but he does come to visit. He is an absolute sweetheart.

Here is the gallery.

We will have a short blog tonight as we have class.

Sky has class tonight. We were unable to do Ali as well as we have pups coming and I wouldn't be able to be her person. She will go next time. This will probably be the only class of the 6 week class that I will be able to attend. I have so much to do that I shouldn't go tonight but sometimes you just have to do things despite that growing list.

Sky is an Ella puppy and it will be interesting to see what Ella produces this time and how many.

It is very cold outside. The storm - 10-15cm has been down sized and may not hit us after all.

Dogs are staying out about 5 minutes or so as their feet get way too cold. That means they go out MANY times a day. Well, they want to and then they remember how cold it is.

Cooper and Spicy's Dad is getting his knee done. Marjolein also had hers done a bit ago. Rusty's dad is getting his heart worked on and we pray it works. So - I say this that so many are going through days of worrying. Our thoughts are with you. Allow the havanese in your life to distract you. I know when things are going on in my life, if allowed, the havanese help me in so many ways. Hugs to you all - truly!

Thank you Darlah. Rusty is our life saver. He warms our hearts and eases our worries. Rusty has made the rough times tolerable/

Sky is a beauty and Oscar is so cute. It is freezing out. Rusty runs back in the house if it is too cold. But then wakes me up to go around midnight.

Sky is looking pretty spiffy for her class! Teacher's pet?

Thanks Darlah. I can tell you that coming home from the hospital last night wouldn't have been the same if it wasn't for Cooper and Spicy, welcoming me with open paws and kisses. They miss their daddy though, looking for him all over the house.

Ronnie, I hope all goes well for your husband. Rusty will make it all better in his own loving way. I'm always proud to say that Spicy is a Certified Therapy Dog but the truth is all of our Havanese are our own therapy dogs :-)

Sky is a true beauty, what a coat and colours!

Anne: I imagine they missed him at bedtime too. Too much room on the bed. I love that Russell had the nurses laughing. That would be Nathan. Stay concentrated on the holiday. It will be before you know. If he keeps the same attitude he has with the gym, I am sure he will be happy with the end result. So true - they are all our own therapy dogs.

Sky was afraid for the first 5-10 minutes. We had 8 other dogs. 1 was a westie so smallish but larger. The other was a doodle - bigger than Inula and the others were large from a german shepherd to a variety of breeds. They barked and barked almost all class. I was stressed and was wondering if this was the right class for her. But she got focused. Tail went up. I found I am an unhappy person listening to barking for 45 minutes. I like the classes where you can socialize before class. This is not it. Nathan will be going with just Sky as I will have the pups. Sky was wonderful. She was afraid. She found her coping skills and Nathan also tuned out so she wasn't feeding off his stress. It is good for her to have the exposure but wow that barking - no thanks.
