Snow Balls

Sorry no gallery - nada. I had this to contend with today. Several beauties packed with snow balls and for some reason poor Willow felted up like I hadn't combed her for a month and I just combed her yesterday. I was not having fun.

Doing the math, reality is we could have pups anytime so I need to get ready for that. I am not ready in the least.

So blogs will wait.

This is Trouble getting the best of Sky - all in fun!

Dogs are using under the gazebo or on the pads as I have no more energy or time to groom. They are playing wildly inside today. I am not super human so I can't groom from morning till night. When the snow disappears, they can go out in the rain. Snow still there - no. Now watch it freeze over and then it will be too icy for them.

Ahhhh stop complaining - I know. I have Costco, Loblaws food, M&Ms food - thank you Sherry for taking me and wading through all that water - wet tootsies and all. Poor you!

Sage is no longer crying like she lost her best friend (Shes in heat and was stuck in the tv room) as she now is in the office with me and the moms and pups. Stormy and Raven don't mind. (great moms)

Xrays tomorrow. The girls are huge now.

I really empathise with you, getting snow balls and felting up is my world too but not just from snow, rain also gives me the headache.
At the moment I am backend washing a lot as the recipe in the food has changed ever so slightly and has given my dog an upset tummy.

How do you get those balls out of their coats? I use warm wet towels to melt and then a bit of pure paws oat & aloe spray to help me comb.

Darlah, you are absolutely incredible looking after all the dogs they way you do.
It looks like Shlomo is having a blast.
Good luck with puppies.

Thank you,

Marci

Darlah you are amazing. I think it is very smart for them to play inside. Too much to do and no time to do it. That's what I always say and for you it is absolutely true. Take care of yourself. We love anything and everything you show us or tell us.

I once took my dogs to the park for a walk on a warm and very snowy day We stayed on the paths, but on the way back I let them run (there was no one else there). Within minutes they were packed with snow up to their necks looking like "Michelin" dogs! They couldn't walk because they couldn't bend their legs. I had to carry them back to the car ... we had been walking for almost an hour and each weighed 20 lbs! 😳 I never made that mistake again.
(I rinse them in lukewarm water to remove the snow balls)

Yikes !! I can't believe those snowballs !! Glad they aren't mine.
