Time Change and All

The dogs wanted to wake up from 530am on. I could have screamed but I put my head under the pillow over and over and said go to sleep. So much for an extra hour sleep.

Here is the gallery.

The gallery is small as we were doing clean up of leaves etc. I so want one of these. LOL Why don't they sell them at say Home Depot?

I still need to bring in the furniture but maybe next week. Snow would give me a swift kick in the butt. Hope all of you are not procrastinating like me.

Saffron is in heat and Stone is going absolutely nuts - her too. I am going to lose my mind for 3 weeks. There is a level of insanity during this time. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Dogs are really enjoying this inbetween weather without rain. Though no before photo but Misty ran through the water and rolled in dirt. It took me 3 washes to get it all out. It just stuck to her. I just washed her a week ago. Oh well, she will get used to baths if she keeps doing those silly things that she does. I can't wait to see her in snow.

A blower works great....blow the leaves in one big pile and bag them. I find the news make the time change a bigger issue than it is. I was awake at 5:30 but didn’t dare move so we woke up at the usual time of 6:30. Saffron looks so much like her mommy 😘

Last year we used my forced air dryer and blew them into a pile. This year I was dreaming of something that picks it up or using the lawnmower to mulch it all up. By doing that you put the nutrients back into the soil. The latter may be the way we go this year.

The dogs here wouldn't let me stay still. They wanted up and out. I was looking forward to the extra hour. We tried and tried and then gave up. I really needed it but getting used to being a zombie.

Yes, Saffron looks like her mom. Interesting thing is Raven's boy looks like Risa markings and all. He had to be a boy. LOL

Some say to just leave the leaves on the lawn...may just do that next year. We don't have a lawnmower so blowing is easy. Maybe next year, we'll just leave the leaves alone....that way Cooper & Spicy will bring more in LOL! Quite frankly, at this stage in our lives, we want to do what's easy.

Wish large gardens and landscaping at previous and current home, I have always found it much easier to do the clean up in the fall. I blow the leaves into piles and then mow them down and blow them back into the garden. Especially in this house where I have many trees with very large leaves. Would be a huge mess trying to clean it up in the spring when it’s wet and muddy. (I once borrowed a lawn vacuum/sweeper and found it useless for the amount of leaves I have.)

Don’t know how good it is, but Lowe’s carries a similar product .

I just wish they would all fall at the same time!

I've been bagging/open containers for weeks with pickup every 2nd weeks here in t.o. I'll keep the lawn cleared but what I can't get racked up off the beds, not too meticulously, and newer leaf fall just stays on the beds as mulch to compost, free fertilizer.
I still have to pull up the canna, begonias, dahlia tubers to dry off prior to storage in basement.
That extra hour, I am actually more tired today than usual, exhausted after my riding lesson and it was cold, reminding me winter is coming.🥶

Thank you, Gerda... I may check it out. I find blowing the leaves into a pile only to have the dogs destroy the pile funny but time consuming. Mulching may be the best thing to do.

Dorothy - I just don't have it in me to dig anything up. LOL I feel for you. I am ever so tired too but each day lately feels tired. Not enough hours, is there? At least I wasn't washing tons of muddy legs other than Misty today.

My Father had one of those lawn sweepers when I was a child. They are fantastic. I wish I could find one here as well.
