Finn's first Christmas experience with his humans!
Dear Nathan and Darlah!
Sending you best wishes for the Holiday Season from our family and from Lola. All the best in the New Year!

Hello Darlah and Nathan,
Thinking about you and all the Talemaker Havanese families.
Here is a photo of Kona's vist to see Santa this year.
I hope that you and your family enjoy the holidays.
So many families will be lucky enough to be bringing a new
puppy home. I so enjoyed seeing all of them develop through
your blogs and videos.
Kona and I will be heading to Florida on January 2nd if weather
permits. We hope to stay there until the middle of April.
Take care.
Hugs from Kathy & Kona.
Hi Darlah and Nathan
We wish you and the Talemaker family a wonderful 2020! Emmy continues to bring us so much joy and laughter every day! We love her to bits. She's attentive and so so sweet. She LOVES running in the snow, car rides, and learning new tricks. We took her to the Christmas Market and she met so many people who just wanted to say hi to her!
We received the Havanese calendars and they have been happily received by Ulrich's father and brother in Nuremberg, my parents in Vancouver, and my brother's family in San Diego.
Thank you!
Rosalie

I wanted to include this in the blog as Sue Edwards made it for us. It's a stunning piece. Sue is dealing with some serious health challenges. Wish she lived closer so we could help. My heart goes out to Sue and all those dealing with serious life blips.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I got to see Ronnie today - even if fleeting. Thank you for giving the pups their puppy fix and thank you for the presents. Looking forward to taking her to lunch soon.
Thank you also to Lynda for giving us a splurge of Chinese food. She is going through some serious health challenges herself. I am amazed at how she meets her challenges and still think of others. You are special.
I am so exhausted that we will have to do Chinese tomorrow. Today, I am barely staying awake.Dennis tells me he needs a shower so I am it with the pups again. LOL
Dorothy, the cookies - homemade - wow. Thank you. Where do you find the time. Plus Sherry confronting crazy Yorkdale to get me sweats I really wanted. Now she is kicking herself for not buying herself a pair or two. they are the softest.
For everyone in the Talemaker family - we wish you the very best for next year. May you create memories that make you laugh for years to come. I am so glad you have the desire and time to experience a havanese. It is what gets me by and you get me by too. Thank you!

Our two get us by too, Darlah 🐶🐶
Darlah, I only have the 2 doggies, but you, I couldn't count the number you have over holidays so making cookies was easy, 🍪. Glad you are enjoying them.
I make pies aswell, have a craving for one?🥧
I’m with Angela, our two get us by too, good and not so good days. We all have them. Merry Christmas to all!
The work of art is wonderful. Glad you have it hung. It’s very meaningful in many ways.
Yes, the dogs have a way of working their magic. You should see us in bed with all these dogs. I must admit, I am beyond exhausted. Added puppy things to do and getting them ready to go home, plus laundry up the ying yang. I even got a dog matted that wasn't expected and almost cried. My hands and arm is screaming. It's 955 and we still have 2 loads waiting. Then pups going home. One literally does not have any time to eat. It is the first year - no roast - no turkey. We did make steak for the dogs or rather Nathan did.
Some are dealing with issues they have no control over. Cancer is evil. Some are dealing with the loss of a loved one. Life is full of challenges.Life can be downright cruel.Friends and dogs get us by.We all need people who genuinely care.
I am thankful for the dogs and to be able to put a puppy in someone's arms so they can momentarily think of this amazing being vs the weight on them.
I am literally working 15 hour days with a 10 min break for shoving something down my throat. I know this will pass. Christmas holiday time is the busiest possible. But we have a roof over our head. I am thankful. We did not have family as we are working. It is just a reality.
I yearn for a nap. I yearn for a full night sleep. I yearn for a day off from grooming, or laundry or cleaning. I yearn to be able to read a book or do online classes or play with graphic prgs - anything. But I also recognise they are minor things in the scheme of things when there are homeless people trying to stay warm or having an empty belly. I feel guilty complaining. There is always someone dealing with something more difficult than we are - always.
But if allowed - the dogs do get us by.
I do think if we know of someone's struggles we can be a distraction, a caring soul - if we know. But too often people do not let you know.
Sherry - that is so true!
Oh Darlah, the Spicy appliqué looks amazing framed. I’m so glad you like it.
Big hugs to all Talemaker doggies and their humans everywhere and to you and Nathan and family.
Much love
Sue, Richie and my beautiful little Calleigh xxx
Sue:
It has an amazing history with Lalla, you - especially you and a very special gal! I treasure it. It does look quite nice framed. Thank you again!!!! I hope you are managing to play recovery of sorts.Much love from this side of the world!
I love the art. What a wonderful gift and so much talent Sue. I wish you good health and the year ahead full of all good things.
As I have said before and over and over to all my friends, Rusty is our lifesaver. His kisses, his cuddles have helped us through this difficult time. Also Darlah your blogs make me smile and warms my heart, you do so much for so many.
I am so sorry you are so exhausted. But you always have a smile.
Rusty is spreading out on my bed. Cuddles into the pillows now. So sweet.
A beautiful depiction of the Spice one.
Talemaker puppies have made many, many lives more joyful. They come with a guaranteed smile making abilities.
I hope that the New Year helps slow the pace for you.
