Making Progress

UPDATE on Furnace not working: Blocked off rooms. Found a space heater in garage. Put heating lamps and closed doors. We are good. Dogs don't mind - only my feet. Drying dogs helps.

Our furnace is working but the blower is not. It means no heat is getting distributed but thanks to Aliya, we have an electric heater to use. Pups are warm. Thanks to our son Jon, we now have his heater and he has a ton of blankets. I used dog dryers, baked and let heat out of the oven and our house is now 60f - 15c from 39f - 3c. That is how cold it got in the house without electrical heat. I know it will cost too much but dogs are warm. We are warm. We usually keep it at 70f but 60f will do.

I called and called service people and wasted a ton of time telling me everyone was booked. Nathan said he will start calling tomorrow night as he has a number that may come soon. We shall see.

We put on the heat lamps. The pups were pleased and the adult dogs didn't seem to mind a bit. I put a ton of blankets - dogs blankets etc in the tv room and bed so they could snuggle.

They did play in and out. See the gallery.

I am glad to be relatively warm.

The dogs had a blast today. Me, not so much. But solutions and lots of dog love got me by and Aliyah - thank you!!

The dogs and I will have fun sleeping under the blankets. Is it bedtime yet?

Shoot. I wish we knew this morning. We will bring one on Thursday (hope the issue is fixed by then) when we pick up Tchibo. Sorry to hear about your heater :(

Stay warm guys! I left the heater by your front door, I hope you found it.

Your furnace isn’t working and no one is coming out! That’s terrible. I’m happy to have a gas fireplace.

Do you need another heater? Its mini but cranks out a lot of heat,1600W. Could bring it up in am when I come with goodies! Luckily it supposed to go to 6C.

Can always use till the heater is fixed. So appreciated!

If you have a natural gas furnace then Enbridge will come out. You tell them it's a no heat call. I have no idea what you do if you have oil.
