Clean Up

We do clean up daily. LOL This is Charlie's last day. He departs shortly. He has made some serious friends. It is so nice to see how this senior plays like a 2 year old. We look forward to your future visits.
We never found his toy so he has 2 waiting to go home with him.

We have Molly with us - Stella's sister and the siblings are getting reacquainted. Stay tuned to tomorrow for photos. I have been falling down with photos as I have had so much going on but the dogs never get the short end of the stick. My galleries and photo clicking does. :)L
It was a blamy day. Dogs were playing their hearts out.
Nathan is still sick. I am congested but not much else. Nathan does not do sick well.
A few dogs spent cuddle time with the sick one for his nap. They are probably not in the gallery but are rested. LOL

I can't thank you guys enough...Charlie enjoyed every minute with you guys! And yes for an old guy he still has some good puppy energy! He looked extra handsome after his grooming today. He will be back soon to visit and play! Thank you so much for taking such great care of him...you guys are very special!
Someone posted something to me today and I mulled it over and said to myself then to Nathan... they don't know. I take photos of Nathan. I hate photos of me. He brags about this one loving him or that one... I never say a word. I am the one that takes care of the pups day in and day out. Many choose me over him. I play games with them. I train them. I know all the little things about them as I am immersed in them. You never hear. Each dog is different. I sit and watch tv with many dogs on my lap whenever I can. I realized, I am going to die where people think they only love Nathan. It's a strange position to be in. I am perceived as the one who does all the work and he is the disneyland dog person. They love him but they love me too and some choose me. There is a price to pay as you don't like to be photographed.

Val: it's just my life. I make Nathan the focus and I created that. That's what love is. Just funny that no one realizes that they choose me too.
Nathan says the pups we keep are his. I will steal them away so I let him make them his. Then when they have pups, they become mine. Why? I massage them. I take care of them and they know that I am there for them. I do all the things I would like to happen to me when I was pregnant.
Then when they get close to me and I am their focus I get accused of stealing them away. I can't win. It's all so funny.
They love us both. Our own and visitors.... alike.
What matters in my opinion is your last comment...the dogs love you both and I truly believe that...but I don't believe that dogs "choose" who to love. It's not in their nature. My thought for what it's worth.
Anne: when your two come here, Spicy always chooses to sleep up against me and Cooper Nathan. One time we had girls in heat when they were here and Nathan slept in the guest room. Spicy made a choice to sleep with me and Cooper chose Nathan. I love Cooper just as much as Spicy. But they can and do make choices. doesn't mean they don't love you.
When we visit Treasure, she focuses on me so much that her human says - she was your dog. She adores and loves Kate. She snuggles and kisses Nathan but if I was on one side of the field and Nathan on the other, she would always choose me. Do I know why? I figure it has to be my care when she had pups. There is a special bond at that time.
Each human fills their needs in different ways.
Do they love you both? Yes!
It's not a competition. It just hurts when the world thinks Nathan is their everything and I am the person that does the work. People truly believe it. That's the cost of being the camera person.
The person behind the camera captures life but when they participate and don't want to get click, there is a perception that isn't accurate.
Look at Dennis who hates photos taken. The pups when they return go mad to see him. But no one sees it.
They may choose where to sleep, that I believe, no doubt actually, same in our house, but they don’t choose who to love. They love everyone equally.

I've never thought the dogs love Nathan more. Dogs know who all gives them love and attention and they love them back just as much if not more !
Maureen: People have told me that in a variety of ways. no biggie - just interesting the perspective is when you are not on the videos and galleries.
By the way, Inula only loves Nathan. You can bribe her, give her treats all the time. You can make her your total focus. I tried it for a week just to see. I laughed. It is so true that she only has eyes for him.
