Picnic Photos & Details
The picnic date took place on August 17, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at Yvonne's place in Brighton. Check out the details here. Photos from the 2019 picnic can be found here. Yvonne's place is NEXT DOOR to her old place. I will try to put a havanese flag out front. Hope you can join us. Directions are here. The house # is 25. There is no picnic in 2020 due to COVID but hopefully in 2021. Stay Tuned!

Walks 'N' Wags Pet First Aid is a recognized National Pet First Aid Certificate course for dog and cat professionals and pet owners. Talemaker Havanese now has that certificate having taken and passed the course.

Debi, do you request "a puppy cut" but "leave the ears long"? Desi still has a long coat as I do not want to lose the colour from the tips of his ears. Ellie's cut is most becoming!

Hi Margaret! Hope you're enjoying your summer w/ Desi. 🌞.
Ellie is on left w/ her Mom, Tara & Laci on right w/ her twin sister, Tami. 👯. Ellie has a puppy cut & ears have been clipped once, but I did caution Tara about keeping her black ears. However, they' re still black from the root so they may be here to stay. 😊 On the other hand, I have always given my groomers a list of Dos and Donts in writing, as they can forget. I have always asked that her ears not be cut as she did have black tipping. However, think the groomer went on auto pilot one day as they got cut off. I was soo disappointed! 😏 i still ask that they not be cut and her tail, rarely as dont like it dragging in dirty places. I would have liked her !ong, but shes now shorter for my sanity & to keep her happy, although shes pretty good about grooming now. She had a ponytail which I loved but seems she didnt as always rubbed it on the rug & was messy, so I gave in & off it came.
From pictures I've seen, you do a very good job w/ Desi!
