It's a Day Too

I tell you it was hot and steamy today and the dogs are chasing squirrels like they are a ball to pursue. Argh. Not sure why they are back at it but it stopped for quite sometime.

Here is the gallery.

Levon and Trigger are more than fine with Jessie. Levon actually said enough in my face and since then, mutual respect and sniffing.

I am beyond tired with these projects and Nathan being away and these early wake up times. About 630pm, I feel like crawling into bed but this too shall pass. I also need the heats to go.

Tomorrow baseboards and the backsplash must be started and I see touchups in the kitchen that must be done.

The dogs have been having an amazing time. Parker departs tomorrow - 1st thing in the morning bath. He has had a genuinely amazing time. May he give comfort to his mom. Gucci and Winston arrives and tomorrow Lola departs. Things quiet down the first week of September. It will allow us to get the pool house done and maybe those 2 rooms painted and organized. I need Nathan to have more space in the tv room and that means the dogs as well. Everyone loves TV time and this will give them bonus room to laze and nap and enjoy on couches and what have you. There will be much to watch come Fall, I imagine and tons of time to snuggle.

Pool is back to being warm and I actually got a quick dip today. Hooray! None of the dogs went swimming but I didn't want to blow dry anyone. Yesterday Sky jumped in. Rosie does the step pace getting her feet wet and getting out. Simon and Sully too. It is interesting.

I am getting depressed about the summer coming to a close. Could it be? Please stay warm all September. Hear me? Come October we will have puppies.

I smile when I read that "things quiet down the first week of September". Come the 8th, Coop & Spicy will be there for almost three weeks, how lucky for them and you :-)

Meadow is coming for a visit Sept 9 - 13, if you'll have her! She'll enjoy some quiet time at your house in September! :)

If it is quiet time then I'll come too. I could use being pampered like you do our sweet dogs.

I hate the fact that August is almost over. It is very depressing.

You have done so much this summer to your house. It must give you satisfaction even though it came with exhaustion. As always I say you are amazing.

Not used to seeing so many short haircuts in the gallery ! I must say your gardens are looking very lush and healthy for such a hot dry summer ! Mine aren't.
