Interesting Day: 2 Updates Today

We so celebrate Tenshi, Chester, Amy and Sadie's 3rd birthday. We so try not to mix a celebration with sadness but we can't control life. Therefore, I apologize to the celebratory families. If you have created half the life Shoshi has experienced then you are on the right track with your havanese. We have so many memories that we will hold dear forever!

Today, we had to make a decision to let Shoshi cross over the rainbow bridge. It wasn't an easy decision. We have had almost 16 years with her. She was never a show dog. She was Shoshi with the coat from hell, a curled tail and a huge personality. There's no duplicate Shoshi. She is a one and only as they all are.

The loss hurts like hell so it will take time to recover.

I have lost many dogs since my 1st springer spaniel at 6. I can tell you each is unique but if you give them the life they deserve, you have created a treasure trove of memories. I could go on and on with all my memories of Shoshi. The flipside those memories hurt like hell till they turn into fun stories - sometimes bittersweet but the smiles come and they live on in your heart and soul.

Good bye, little one. We have had an amazing journey together. Just wish we had 16 more years with you!

Sorry for the downer. Dogs had fun today. We mustered great happeness with all of the crew. They had a great deal of fun!

Here is the gallery.

So sorry to hear about Shoshi but I know that you made the right decision, no matter how hard it was to do so. Shoshi is in a good place, watching over all of our dogs. You had a good life, may you now rest in peace. Sad day. Hugs to all of you.

We are so very sorry, Darlah and Nathan. You made that terribly hard decision, because you knew it was best for Shoshi. Hugs from Mike, Ozzie, and me.

Darlah and Nathan,
When I read your news about Shoshi, I started to have tears in my eyes. I’m so sorry that you have to say goodbye to your little Shoshi. You have given all your love to her and she has given all her love to you. Her job on this Earth is complete.

Don’t think we’re far apart.
For everytime you think of me,
I’m right here inside your heart. “

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Shoshi looks like a real sweetheart and that big personality you describe shines through. No matter how long we have our beloved pets with us, it is never long enough. Dogs are certainly God’s special gift to humankind. Thank you for all the work you and Nathan do and for the wonderful dogs you help bring into the world and into our lives.

Dear Darla, Nathan and Dennis, I'm so sorry to hear of Shoshi's passing and I know what a difficult decision it is to let go. I know that Shoshi definitely had the best life ever living at Chez Talemaker. I have shed a few tears since reading this post as it brings back memories of my beloved Havanese Swiper. I love the post by Sylvia because it is so true. Take care and know that I'm thinking of you guys.
