Big Dog Socialization

Jesse and Murphy are here for the next couple of months while Mom goes and helps in Australia. Above is a photo Nathan took of Jesse and Tchibo. They had their moments today.

Here is the gallery.

Hallie screamed when she saw Jesse. One would have thought he stepped on her but it was fear. What the hey is that in my house? All the first timers and visitors go through this. They handle it in a variety of ways but it is a good experience. Okay, not everyone. Coco the Maltese was here today and went okay - a new playmate. But by the time Jesse's mom had departed, Hallie was play bowing and jumping all over him. This is big dog socialization and it is a great experience for your dog.

Hallie and the Maltese CocoWe are still working on the family room. The tv room now has our two end tables that are crates with doors open and beds on top of them. As we move furniture around after xpens are down, we either move it back or use it elsewhere.

Dogs are not reacting as I guess its a new adventure each day and new things to climb on. They seem to be used to this and enjoying the changes as most are for them. We have a real dog house. LOL

Really interesting Hallie’s reaction and adjustment to Jessie

She wasn't the only one. It seems it happens with dogs that have not been exposed to a dog of his size and then they relax. It's actually a good thing. Thing is Hallie does see larger dogs but not in her house and upclose and personal. She made a very quick recovery to playing after the initial reaction.

Darlah, thank you for making Tchibo so nicely looking. Sorry for knots. His mustache is beautifully shaped now. We are lucky Jesse was there. Tchibo lunges at big dogs. It gets better after Talemaker.

He did really well with Jesse. He's a perfect big dog socializer!
