Wet Day

Almost didn't have photos again but I am combing out due to this fine wet weather. It has truly been a wet day and the dogs take advantage of it gettng as messy as ever. It also means cleaning blankets as I heat them up, they come in and put mud all over them. Yes, I am laughing. They say snow tomorrow - maybe not here. We shall see.

Here is the gallery.

I have a ton of dogs to groom tomorrow. Wednesday is the anniversary so I will not groom and try to find pjs for Nathan. His never came. The ones he wears are not suitable for the hospital and they said he needs 2 or 3. Issue is he is a short legged guy so pjs are not easy to find. Short legged guys - tell me where. His cardiologist thinks it will be sooner than later.

The hardest thing about this is for 6 to 8 weeks no dogs on him. He so loves the dogs as do I. Sure the chest will hurt terribly. Getting in and out of bed won't be fun. The dogs will not understand. One day at a time and I get to do food shopping again.

Harlow departs tomorrow and she will be missed. Henley's parents are moving so she is having the time of her life here. It is how it should be. Who likes moving. I think everyone should have a magic wand to make it all move and get placed where it should be in minutes but then Henley would miss the fun.

Happy anniversary in advance! Covid is making it hard for anyone to celebrate properly so I'm sure you will make the best of it. Wishing Nathan the best with the surgery, whenever that is. As you say, one day at a time. That's all you can do. Nathan will have a new lease on life so that is something to look forward to. These days, I'm all for positive thoughts. Hugs to all!

For short-legged pyjamas, try Old Navy! They have men's jogger style pyjamas for cheap, so if they are too short, they won't drag on the floor.

I am sending lots of positive thoughts to both of you for your anniversary on Wednesday as well as for Nathan's surgery! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and then Nathan can start feeling better! :)

Looking at those selections - poor Nathan would not wear. He is SO conservative. Me, on the other hand... He is a soft and plain kind of guy

Oof the doggies will be the hardest part! It will be good incentive to work extra hard at rehab! I second the jogger bottoms although they could be tougher to independently step in and out of. As a short person myself, my advice is to just get the comfiest regular button down PJ set then roll the bottoms into a cuff - a few stitches will hold it and in a pinch, use safety pins or even a stapler (which I admit I can confirm will survive multiple washes intact). Hope you are both able to enjoy your anniversary despite everything - don’t recall seeing the number!

No worries Darlah! I will look around on the internet and see what I can find that Nathan might like 😊

He might try medical scrubs, available at Mark's, etc, but I think the drs are concerned about him moving his arms above his head, he might need button front shirts.
