Warmth is Here

Doesn't look like much but it took days of prep, repairing of leaks and voila now it needs to dry. The side of the house was done too. The other 2 walls are fine - no leaks. So 2020 NO MORE REPAIRS. Why can't I have a hubby that knows how to repair? He loves the dogs so that's worth everything!

Here is the gallery.

We are short blogging it so we can stand outside and soak in the warmth and the dogs are too. Plus I have a class online tonight so.... yes short blogging it all around.

That's some big job, and it looks great.
Want a laugh, I'm repairing/replacing my road side flower bed wall, it's been collapsing for years, 1 niece's boyfriend does woodworking/masonry, I didn't think about repairing it during the hot summer heat.

Congratulations on finalizing the repairs! Looks great! Still waiting for my last one. Be grateful you have in-house help on dogs! We all have different expertise. Keep up the newsy blogs please!

The entire wall was porous so it was wet inside. No choice but to do it. But it lasted 25 years. i think that is why Nathan is in bed at 930. Just too many repairs and yes if he could do this stuff, it would save us money but he so loves the pups. You can't have everything. I am usually the one that repairs most stuff with Dennis.

Nathan created the calendars for the club. Took him eons. It's a free job for the club and now we are the depot to pick up from here or he goes to the post office to mail them out. Anyone want one - 20 dollars of you pick up at the house - 24.95 if mailed per calendar.

What repair do you have, Laurie? We still have a broken pool heater but that will wait till spring. The basement walls have to be redone due to wet unless they dry well - insulation redone etc. Guess who will put up drywall next year, if that is the case? It will be me. I hate REPAIRS! They cost too much.

Dorothy: Good for you. If I didn't have young pups, I would come and help. We do what we do when it comes to mind and good news the next few days will be warm. I still have strawberries growing - can't you believe? may have to dig a bed, put them in the ground and put a ton of leaves over them so I can have them next year. Will I find the time? never grew strawberries in my house. have you?

Angela: Thanks... personally a wall is a wall is a wall but if its porous - would have crumbled and the foundation would have shifted. Now that is scary.

It's much too large of a job for you to help, Matt and Adrain are doing all of it, I have a dumpster on my driveway, a huge bag of composite crushed stone, and then the actual stone blocks.
And yup, my strawberries are still growing, better than in the summer. I was planning to do the exact thing of digging them in the veg garden for the winter.
I now have hares visiting my yard, even in daylight, maybe they are eating the strawberries, here we go again with the garden raiders.😆 House is way too small to bring in more house plants. Still have to dig up canna lily tubers, waiting till leaves all die down, easier to dig up.

Dorothy: At least it remains warm through Monday. Pace yourself!
