The dogs had a great time. I thought I was goiung to have alll blogs done by 5pm but my computer keeps getting the blue screen of death.
Sherry brought an excellent lunch. I will indeed have a gin and tonic.
Didn't do anything we wanted to accomplish but hey it is what it is. Nathan with his short legs - well it is difficult getting pj bottoms. We found one pant so tomorrow we have the consult so we will know then if we have time to find more.
The dogs look a mess today and well it is what it is.
I so wanted to learn today but my mind won't let me. maybe tv after blogs.

Darlah, are you sure Nathan needs pyjamas in the hospital? Most patients wear a hospital gown the entire time until they get to walk around then they add a robe only. In my experience no-one wears pyjamas.
I have to agree with Angela, hospital gowns are more convenient for the nurses, drs, etc. Just wear 1st tied frontward then another backward, covers everything and then a robe when 'promenading'. My sister recommends this, she's an imaging tech, even used this for herself, and no one really cares how anyone looks anyway.
When he went in for the angiogram that was supposed to lead to the angioplasty, he was told to bring pjs. Everyone was wearing them. He did not bring any as he didn't have any so he had a hospital gown that left him exposed. He was not happy. He should be up walking after 2-3 days but no one can bring anything to him so I was told in covid times you can fed ex things required. In covid days who will he see so to me a gown I told him he could have 2 and wear front and back so no exposure. Our daughter had a ventricular septal defect and what we know from heart surgery is they want you to walk to avoid pneumonia. He was hoping for a less invasive surgery but with 5 significant blockages they will make a 6-8 inch incision, cut his breastbone and open his rib cage. It's just a reality. His cardiologist said it will take him a few months before dogs can sleep with him. He is really upset about that. He says you watch - I will heal quicker. I just know it. Hope he does. He did tell him - the cardiologist that it is a difficult surgery due to 5 significant blockages but he sends this surgeon all his difficult cases and he is good at what he does. Then he says if you are going to make it, this guy is your best chance. What a thing to say. So Nathan said maybe this is our last anniversary. I said no - I will die before you. What a year this has been. So, poor Nathan is on a rollercoaster ride of hope and then he thinks too much. He also worries that I am sending all the puppies home without him. He is really sad about it. Me too but i said lets wait for the date so we can find solutions.
So sorry to hear about all these complications Darlah and Nathan! We hope things go smoothly and off to rehab Nathan goes so he can heal and strengthen up. Sending you all positive vibes!!! As for the pj's it's good for morale to wear your own clothes! and during rehab to get up and dress in your day clothes so it's less "hospitally" (this is me the therapist talking!). Would it help if Nathan chooses the pj's he wants and I can hem them? I'm pretty handy with the sewing machine...I can fed ex them to you or the hospital. Just a thought.
Did dr say anything about the source of the grafts? Correct about the walking to avoid pneumonia, same as for my mom. She was older than Nathan when she had hers done. And she healed quite well, gradually, she just couldn't pick up the grandkids for awhile. I think that dr doesn't know the weight of havanese, bet he's thinking labrador.
Please try not to worry too much, one day at a time, vet visit and dr visit first.
He's getting the best surgeon, that's a huge plus.
