No Fools Day Today

Ollie was having a great time today. Nathan was equally animated.

Here is today's gallery.

Murphy found a sun spot on the pool cover and didn't want to move.

Me, I got all the dogs combed out. Nathan picked up Kat's ashes now sitting on top of Risa's. Our vet sent them with her son who was called into work in Etobicoke. Nathan never saw anyone. He called her son. He opened his trunk from afar. Nathan used disinfected gloves. Took the ashes and took some concentrated hospital disinfectant that she sent for us that she was sharing. Quite nice. He got into his car and drove off. It's a strange experience not having any interaction but quite nice for her to do this. Quite touching!

Moms are getting round bellies. Stormy is ridiculous in size.

The dogs had fun running outside. Hallie is still spooning with Cinnamon. It's nice to open windows and feel the fresh air. Something good to celebrate. How are all of you?

Other than grooming today, I feel so unproductive. I did watch Good Omens till the end. I started Sneaky Pete but the premise bothered me. I am looking for another series to either be a fantasy or make me laugh. Still hunting.

So touching to hear about Kat’s ashes. If you don’t mind me asking, you indicted they are on top of Risa’s, are they outside somewhere or inside? Hard to believe that three litters will be born in a few weeks. Something so positive to look forward to, especially for the new families.

Have you watched a Frankie and Grace on Netflix? Really fun!

Ollie always looks so beautiful when you groom him. He's just a ball of perfect white fluff.
In spite of everything I always feel better on a sunny day. Zoey and Abby ran around the deck and through the house like maniacs today. It was warm enough and no bugs so I left the patio doors open and they chased each other so fast we had to stay on a chair out of their way. I think they were happy for the sunny day too.
Stay safe to all, Susan, Zoey and Abby XXX

Still trying to get my head around Kat.💔

Westworld? Black Mirror? Both dark but so good

Murphy did park herself. She loves, loves, loves laying in the sun.

Try Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, if you haven't seen it already. Good for a laugh. Another that isn't quite as funny, but very good is Ozark! Hope you are keeping well...March was a tough month.

Ollie looks great. How nice you have Kat and Risa together. Feels right and peaceful for them. It is so silent outside when I walk Rusty. I like Virgin River on Netflix I will try Ozark. I heard the Marvelous Mrs Masiel is supposed to be really good but on Prime. I don't get Prime yet.

Who would have thought that our company is the tv. So sad...

I watched Frank and Gracie on Netflix and really enjoyed it. Also watched Virgin River and enjoyed it!
I just can't believe what is going on in this world. It feels like a nightmare that we expect to walk up from.

I'm starting to have a lot of problems getting my usual dog walkers to walk Katie. The older lady named Sue told me she is too afraid to continue walking her as she is 80 and t o.o scary to be excused. The young girl that is working her is picking up the slack so far. Another woman that works as part of a compam
Will still b walking her at a reduced rate for the time being until they figure out what is happening. The company is now in trouble!

I can't even get Katie groomed since the groomer is closed. She looks so dishelved now!

Oh well.

I hope you. Nathan, Dennis are all healthy.

I have two cedar boxes sealed with their ashes with an engravement with their names saying In Loving Memory Katsura - Risa. The boxes are now sitting on top of each other - fitting - mother and son. You can get them without being sealed so you can throw their ashes. I did not pick that option. On top of those 2 boxes is a photo of Yvonne's Maggie who was Risa's pup. They are on my fireplace mantle. I used to not collect the ashes but I started to.

Ruth: Hugs...

Thank you everyone for ideas. I enjoyed Maisels but have not watch the latest season. I am grooming today and washing.

Ronnie - send me mail and let me know if Rusty's hair is okay.

A long time ago although it feels like even longer I ordered a sublimation kit for my printer. It got lost. About 10 days ago they sent out another. It bounced between atlanta and miami over and over again. It finally made it to detroit and now it is in Toronto sitting in customs for 2 days. I thought what a great distraction but getting the feeling it may never arrive. Not needed except to increase my learning. Actually had an order from someone to do 6 mugs with their dog on it and that has since been cancelled. Little tiny ways to make money like grooming is but with the right knowledge and time - easier than matted dogs and grooming. My hands hurt after dematting. The world is saying perfect your skills first but can't if the conversion kit is not here. LOL So, I get back to grooming. I also have an online class I need to complete. What are you doing today?

Yesterday I was outside and the family next to me for the 2nd day in a row was screaming at each other. The family in the back was doing the same thing. Now the family next is always screaming at each other but not the family in the back. Everyone is too stressed. I find the screaming bothers me greatly so I come inside and groom to escape. I miss taking care of Kat - crazy - missing work. It will pass.

Nice memories of Kat and Risa. Thanks for sharing. On another note, we got Netflix just a few days ago. I was always against it as I didn't want to start getting hooked to series, etc. However, these days I need something to distract me, not much on regular TV. I started watching Ozark, I actually like it although somewhat "disturbing" but I like these shows.

On the grooming side, we are also now giving our two their baths, do the nails, trim sanitary areas and "flipper" paws.

Thinking of you and Kat <3

How much more cooking and cleaning can I do? 🤣
Today city announced yard waste pickup resuming, yippee!

Also have been watching, new posts every few days, all brilliant.

We all need a smile and a laugh.😂

Another good Netflix series, Wanted from Australia , brilliant 😊

What kind of cut would you call Ollie's? I have been brushing Poppy daily and getting a ton of fluff off her -- think she is blowing her coat. She is such a good dog and stays still for me waiting until I say Okay and then she is off to stand by the treat canister.
I understand you have a circuit and are trying for sublimation. I have heard about that technique but haven't seen anyone do it. I have had a Silhouette for some time. I don't use much but I enjoy doing things for miniatures. I might try their pattern for masks even though it is not foolproof it should help when grocery shopping. We will have to share our products when this is all over.

Dear Darlah and Nathan
We are so sorry that Kat passed away too soon. How old was he?
As he was both Breeze and Chinook’s dad we just felt so sad when we read this. He was such a beautiful dog and such a great boy for sure. Chinook looks just like him, or we think he does and Breeze looks like their Mom, Miss Abigail. So nice he is with Grandma Risa❤️
We have the ashes of our previous pet, Kobey on our dresser in the sealed box. We have decided which ever of us goes first our pets who go before us will be buried with us. So hard and so sad, but great memories prevail.

Take care and stay safe and just love and cuddle up with your sweet and loving Havanese 🐶❤️❤️❣️

Shelley: He was turning 15. Due to arthritis he was on pain pills too long. Still kills me - sorry. Sporting damages you and dogs too and then arthritis sets in. I so miss him. Yes, Chinook looks like him. So many of his dogs look like him - gorgeous silver and white. Nice way to do it with the urns. We miss you all.

Marilyn: I use mine as much as time allows. Look forward to seeing what you do with it. I can do sublimation with the Cricut sublimation sheets but I want to do my own designs with my dogs in Photoshop. Ollie is in a long puppy cut. He still looks like a wee pup in it.

Anne: I watched How to fix a drug scandal and shut it off. I will have to try yours but I can't find it. hmmm Congrats on Netflix. I was one of the early adopters so still pay very little for it - the perk of beta testing it way back when.

Dorothy: Yes Pluto is funny and we all need to laugh!
