Warm But Falling Times

It was warm today. Cooler tomorrow. It's what spring is all about. The dogs finally got all combed out but I find when pups are young, I tend to be doing too much so the blog will be less than every day considering I have 3 others to do, Yes, I will still update but short ones.

Here is the gallery over the last few days.

I find myself not having the time to do matted dogs - sorry. It hurts my hands. By doing so, I am taking time from the pups and I simply never relaxed no matter how well the puppies are doing till 3 plus weeks as then Dennis is still doing night duty but he's sleeping in the same room and listening at that point. This means he is up earlier in the day.

I do comb out the crew here.

When I crawl into bed tired, no more ipad, I just drop to sleep when my head hits the pillow with the dogs all surrounding me. It's wonderful. Yes, they do the same with Nathan but they pick and choose and that's ok!

Off to finish laundry and weigh pups. I weigh them twice a day.

Wish I could help you with at least dematting some dogs for you but with this social distancing it's not possible. You decide what you can do but take care of yourself first.
Puppies are so adorable and already seem so much bigger, you sweet little beings😚

I had several dogs that came that was so matted - well I have never ever seen them so bad even on a rescue (I am head of rescue). When I groom, I am away from the pups and Nathan is handling the adults and the pups. It is easier when pups are older as they feed longer times between. Too much stress and time taken away from the things I need to do. Dennis sleeps days as he is up all night. I have to realize my limitations and do what I can and still feel bad for the dogs.

I've only had my 2 for 2 years, I struggled a bit at a certain hair length with Leo, (the coat miraculously got easier to brush out once it got longer, or maybe it was the Bathing Beauty and/or the HV dryer and proper drying/brushing out, he's more cottonly, maybe better shampoo and conditioner helped too) but I kept on anyway, reviewed your grooming video many times, I learned so much, I know I've got it figured out, your video show lots of different methods of dealing with knots and matts, one or another works in each case.
Truly your video should be watched often to learn how to prevent such matting.
