Hold That Thought

It feels like spring - sleet tomorrow - really? Oh the lovely feel of spring.

Here is the gallery.

I did brush everyone but hey Dennis likes to take photos of them when they are messy. To be honest he takes photos when he wants to and doesn't wait for me. I get that.

Murphy gal departed today. I took her home as Sherry couldn't get out. There was construction out fixing I think sewers and hardly any cars on the road. But I tell you the streets are an absolute disaster with potholes everywhere.

I brushed everyone out and here I am blogging and its almost 730. What happened to the day?

Sleet - seriously.....

For everyone who celebrates Passover and is attempting to do it virtually - may it be successful. For those that can't - do not fret. Money saved - less cooking... life - we can't control. This goes for Easter as well. May we all survive - and next year... but I suspect the dogs are saying - well what about the leftovers?

Great photos 💕

Our Easter is going to be pretty simple.

I have exams anyway!

Our Easter will be simple too, had planned to have my brother and sister over but no more. Like you said, we’re saving money...no more barber for Russell, no gym fees, no grooming fees, no restaurants, no lawn service for grass cutting...not an essential service so we bought a lawnmower, cheaper than the service. The new normal, a new « cliché » now. Looks like the social distance will last all summer now, at least in Quebec. That’s ok, we’ll do what we have to do. Happy Easter everyone! 🐣🐥🐶🌈

Happy Passover, and Happy Easter to all those celebrating.🐣🐇
Not sure how our family is going to get together, a Zoom conference maybe, since the family is so big and widespread.
Everyone stay safe and healthy.
P.S. mine look like your pre brushout, just all day long today. 🤣

I talked to my daughter in Portland and they just opened grooming salons. i was surprised and the gardeners was out in force next door. They say no interaction services can be still done. We always do our own lawn. I am not even sure if i will be able to afford plants that we use to feed - like strawberries, tomatoes, cukes etc. Here they are saying end of May. I am not sure they know. We will survive and well holidays will come again next year. i did see many posts online with people doing sedars. I was surprised.

I wish all my Talemaker friends a Happy Passover and Happy Easter. Certainly a different year. May we all enjoy peace and family whether at a distance or close by and stay healthy and safe. Darlah thank you for all you kindness and advice with Rusty. You are wonderful. Rusty has a big boil on his back. Better today. He is not himself but better. Not in pain. This certainly is a new normal. 😷

Ronnie: I am ever so glad. The dogs are quite special beings - truly through and through. Glad you have Rusty and Rusty has you! Hoping soon we can get together.

All things being equal, May is the target in Quebec to progressively reopen businesses as long as workers and clients maintain the 2 meter distance. IMHO, this will exclude all beauty salons, restaurants. Groomers could probably manage if they limit the number of dogs in at once but beauty salons...kind of hard to give a pedicure from 6 feet away LOL! Don't know. But social distance requirement will continue into the summer. I would be surprised if the social distancing dropped to nothing in Ontario by end of May but like you said who knows. Just grateful and blessed to have our pooches with us :-) and yes, there will be other holidays. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year for all.

With groomers it is a matter of just having one person bringing the dog and 1 departing without overlap of customers. Putting a dog in a holding area without interaction would work as even when this is gone, people will still be nervous. So why not make them comfortable?

That’s how our groomer was doing it before they closed. Once our government gradually “reopens” some businesses, they will have inspectors to ensure the two meter is respected. It was announced today that beauty salons, restaurants, to name a few, will not reopen for many months. Nothing said about groomers but I suspect it will not be a priority. Life as we knew it won’t be back to normal for a long time. It is what is it, our lives are too important to risk anything.

Is boarding an essential service there? They won't have enough inspectors so maybe they will be hiring people who desperately need it. I am trying to stay positive. We took a HUGE financial hit. It's so hard on everyone so I hope it ends up sooner than later. No one will trust so it will be a new norm in some respect for sometime, I imagine.
