Warm But Not Hot

The dogs that come are making the most of their time. Heres Parker running his body off.

Here is the gallery.

It tells me they often need more than a walk. They need the dog interaction. Just like we need the human interaction.

Laura dropped off the topiary of a havanese mom and 3 pups to us today. It's HUGE and so magnificent. She said happy mother's day. I wish I had something for her. So nice of her. She has full sized wolves in her backyard from this artist out of the UK.

Both Misty - just over a year and a half and Raven are in heat. We shall see who else comes into heat. This may be the no summer for me summer. LOL

I am so hoping we get good weather so I can swim. I live for the swim.

Other than the trug and fresh veggies and herbs, I think this may be a non gardening year despite that the garden centers and hardware stores will be open starting on Friday.

It's going to start getting exciting with the pups as 1 has their eyes open. Read the blog to see who that puppy belongs to. May the summer begin!

Is this Misty's first heat. Don't know if I'm going be able to get Abby's spay surgery done in time before she has a heat. What is the average age they have their first heat? Susan

Its supposed to get real cold for the next few nights. I had started some seeds indoors and some tubers have already sprouted and I planted them but I'm covering them each night or bringing them into the garage. The herbs and tender vegs I bought also get sheltered each night. I want warm weather too.💐
I agree, doggies need more than a walk or at least variety. And the way my 2 play together, you would be so happy.

Yes, dogs need more than walks, truly. I started this fitness program with ours, it works their muscles and core, something that we don't often pay attention to. Walks are great but dogs also need some form of training stimulus, be it agility, core training, something to keep them engaged and focused. I enjoy doing it and our duo enjoys it too. Always done safely, with a trainer that we trust. Today, Russell and I did recall training outside, both at each end of the backyard, Cooper and Spicy going back and forth. Fun times!

Training is truly outstanding to do with the dogs. I love what you do with your two!

Socialization also is missed. I realized with the dogs that have been coming for boarding (which is on the essential list), the dogs were highly excited to be playing with each other. They played like they have not played in a long time. It was different. Just like us, I gather they miss this aspect of their life.
