Cold, Rainy and Well That's Okay

Very few photos today as I was mostly grooming all day and I mean all day. Nathan hardly took any and I took Charlie, Teddy and Ollie. It is Dennis day off. Sorry.... I usually can multi-task but sometimes I can't. I did get the pups as I eeked out a session with them and even got some slo mo videos. Should have taken them of the adults but no time and still have 1 more dog to do.

Here is the gallery.

Everyone is late today due to the traffic coming back from cottages. We don't dare let out anyone that was just groomed. It's about to rain again. If the pool heater has to die, at least its now cool. LOL

Everyone has been playing in a huge way - indoors, outdoors. Though they looked at the rain and went - no, I do not think so especially Murphy. I just love that dog. I would have said no too.

Till tomorrow!

Beautiful fluffy coat🥰
Just wondering how you clean your brushes with the long pins. Lately I've been using the Bathing Beauty with just shampoo prior to adding in the conditioner in the tub prior to bathing the dogs and then rinsing them with water after doggies done so it's a clean brush after each bath. About 1x/8-10 days. But with the city dirt/road oils/exhaust I need to clean them more often, the tines get grimey, yuck!
I keep watching your grooming video, best ever👏

I use vinegar then rinse but many groomers use an ultrasonic cleaner. Have always wanted one so if you get one, let me know what you got and how well it worked.

I use shampoo and conditioner together. Less is better.

Tom just happens to have one, lol!
It's large enough to fit the head of a standard brush. It's old, it was going to be thrown out from a company and he salvaged it. And it still works.
That's why Tom can't clean out his lab stuff I just might need it😂
I'll send the image via email.
I did try doing conditioner separately for a change, today together with shampoo, so much faster and the result was similar or better than separate. Pixie looks lovely today. I needed to see the difference, always questioning.

Dorothy: With the Bathing Beauty it mixes the two together so well that it is a time saver and they do come out better. You couldn't get the marrying of the 2 by hand as well. I put a dab of shampoo and conditioner together then use the bathing beauty to distribute it through the tub. I find the less vs more works well - better even with my own hair. The least amount of conditioner you can use on your own hair gives you shine and a lack of heavy coverage but still allows softness. I suspect most people overdo with the conditioner. The hair becomes dirtier faster too with too much of a coating of conditioner. Of course if you have dirty feet, you do them by hand with a whitening shampoo, let them sit then do the rest.

The bathing beauty does work with cleaning but I clean out my whole bathing beauty by filling the tub with a couple of inches with hot water. I throw in half a jug of a large vinegar. Then I have the bathing beauty recirculate that. I throw my brushes and combs in the tub and it cleans them as the bathing beauty is getting cleaned. Then I empty, fill with hot water and recirculate again.
