In Step

We have a few visitors. It almost feels like the holiday season and it is delightful to have the activity. Look at these two in step with each other and thoroughly enjoying each others company.

Here is the gallery.

We had a busy day. We went to get Teddy, who is staying here under the umbrella of Havanese Fanciers Rescue of Canada. I am on the commitee of rescue and have a fabulous group that genuinely care. The Havanese Fanciers site has been down so I will post here about Teddy's experiences. When that goes live again, we will place his photo and bio there. Claire who also does the social media will be posting updates there. We are all in his corner to have the forever life he deserves.

The dogs that are visiting are having a great time. I am sadly behind as I had so much on my plate today but it was still a lovely day. It's cold out. The dogs seem to enjoy the briskness and most of all - hooray no rain.

Last night I was not doing well. I did something stupid. I had a door open at the top of my desk. I bent over and stood up fast only to have the top of my head connect with the corner. I have a good size egg on the top of my head but no cut. I was in a lot of pain. I was vomiting and queasy. This morning I felt better though the head still is sore. How stupid can I be but get this not stupid enough as I left it open again but noticed I did so didn't do it again but really, Darlah! Interesting enough all night long the dogs licked my face, my head. They did not want me to sleep. Havanese are the best but tonight sleep guys!

We have a wonderful bunch of dogs visiting. They are outstanding. They play and play. If you want a smile - well they will fill your wish.

Ouch!!! That sounds painful Darlah. It was so touching to hear of the dogs being so concerned. Heal well

You are a walking disaster, this head door smash, hair in the vacuum, slip on the wet floor and an encounter with a gate(before my time with Talemakers). I am a bit concerned about your nausea, just monitor it if it continues.
Note to anyone, nothing above a desk๐Ÿ˜  (ask me how I know, textbook avalanche)๐Ÿ˜ณ

Yes - the dogs Jodi are really great therapy. They are amazing! Though sleep would have been good.

Be careful about concussion. I did something similar almost 2 years ago and I still have issues. Looks like Ripley had a twin there today. Had to double check a couple pictures, and I have to admit, there are one or two where Iโ€™m not sure! As for Teddy, he is living proof that black is slimming. There are just a few side pics that you can see he needs to cut down on those treats. ๐Ÿ˜

Darlah, can you take time to get your head checked at urgent care or emergency? Vomiting is a sign of serious concussion. The dogs must be doctors as they knew to keep you awake last night!

The avalanche (they were the lab manuals, heavy), missed me, and it was at work, at the hospital, lol!
I won't list the horse-related incidents, nothing too serious or lingering side effects.

Sue: Not sure he had a twin but I cut his hair here and there to allow him not to be overwhelmed on the table. I find as they get older, they appreciate it.Maybe seeing different haircuts? LOL He is very relaxed these days so this has been so good for him.

I think I am fine today. The dogs let me sleep till 5ish. It's sore to the touch still so expected and less of a bump. I did manage to get puppy videos up already. Dennis started them in on mousse without my knowledge so all I got was videos - no photos. <sigh> I like to experience 1sts.

Dorothy big heavy manuals - oh that really would have been a disaster. I can go years and years and then ooops it happens like the catching on the xpen and falling. Or an ice splat.

Darlah, I was looking at the pics with just Ripley and another pup who shares his colouring. In other pics I had to really look to see if it was Rip or that pup. I even looked at the blog cover shot twice! So happy to hear he has settled in. He can be such a careful guy, wanting to watch a situation for so long before he mixes and plays. Coming regularly so he feels he knows everyone is best.

Sue: I think you meant Archie. They look similar but different. :-) Yes, Ripley has really opened up since he started visiting. A little each time and he is engaging with others. It was a great decision to bring him once a week. It really makes a difference. We all need to be social!
