Late on the Switch
This is getting pretty norm. I asked Nathan for 1 hour to not be responsible to do anything including having it just wait for me. Too bad its only going to be in the 60s tomorrow. Oh well...
Murphy gal, Bria and Kally are departing tomorrow so baths and cuts for 2 of them. Murphy boy departed tonight so just finished his groom about an hour ago. Harlow is here singing for her supper and very comfortable with all.
The dogs really enjoyed this weather. They had a ton of fun but I need to get blogs done before I need to do pen cleanup, water dishes and all that I do before crawling in bed. I have the windows open upstairs and the fans going. I hope it cools it down. The dogs were restless last night due to the heat.
Pool gets open on the 23rd but when we closed our heater was not working so we shall see what that brings. LOL

So happy the pool is opening!
Sherry: Me too unless the pool heater is not repairable. One day at a time.
Our pool is 30 yrs old now. Seems we need something replaced every year! I’ll say, didn’t we just replace that? And, Doug says, about 10 yrs ago! We need a new liner now. I’m finding the darker ones fade more noticeably. Yours is like ours. Has it begun to fade yet? Ours is fading more in some areas which makes it more noticeable. I’ll have to do some investigating.
Debi: Lately that is me and ours is about that old. But eventually you replace everything and then you are good to go for years again. LOL
Our last liner we got a plain one that had light and dark blue throughout similar to yours. It makes the water appear blue and the liner guy told us it was so popular as you don't notice fading. We have no fading still not even at the water line. When they take your liner up, they will repair any cracks etc. We didn't have any but he still put a coating on to protect it at no extra cost, I might add. So ASK! If this is your 1st liner repair - WOW! We had ours done about 4 to 5 years ago. The heater is costly. Liner not so much depending on who you have do it. So - be thankful. We had a guy off of EBAY - which was scary but we were referred from others that used him and he was GREAT. But we use it every single day including the dogs. Not sure how I would survive without it. It is my mindscape which I sorely need. I will miss having the grandkids over if we are still in covid times. For that, I am sad. It has been over a year now. Our grandkids from the states was coming and now... not likely.
Would you give me the name of your guy? We don’t drain ours empty and we’ve never had a repair or a coating put on. I do recall when they laid this one there were a couple of wrinkles. I pointed them out and we were told the water would flatten them. Well, it didn’t and of course wrinkles cause weakness. We had our pool serviced by different people and didn’t use them for the new liner as thought who put the pool in would be better. Well, it made no difference as they no longer had records. We’ll get estimates from both just because, but I’ll use the opportunity to tell them they did a lousy job. I guess we have done pretty well as just 2 liners in 30 yrs., but the first one lasted 20. Think the original was same as your previous - white as it made for a pale blue colour. I do like the darker colours now though. I have to say Doug takes very good care of the pool. It’s always clean and he tests the water regularly.
Our grandkids come over all summer long. We sit on the opposite side of the pool. I take snacks out and leave them a distance away for them to pick up. Relatively speaking, last summer seemed quite normal. I soo long for that again. 🤞💕🦋. The kids come over less though as busy in sports and pt jobs. Can you believe they’re 15-18, with the oldest going to university in the fall. 😫
I will get Nathan to dig it out.
