Too Hot and Muggy

Even I decided it was time to come indoors with this heat. It's not just the heat but the mugginess.

Daisy was over visiting and had a great time!

See the mini gallery. Dennis didn't take many photos. Nathan is still laying outside under an umbrella and I wanted to get the blogs done earlier than my usual these days.

Dogs go in and out of heat but we are always mindful that it may get too hot.

Yup, very muggy, but I did weed for a number of hours at my brother's place.. Even the twins couldn't handle the heat, in the house they went with Nonna.
I try very hard not to do much gardening in this type of heat, no good for anyone/anything, but I've to go back tmrw to chop down a blue spruce that the tent caterpillars went after, ew! I had lots of water with me. Hope my 2nd vac dose tmrw am won't affect me too much, not like the last time.
My 2 are limiting themselves with the heat, it's miserable for everyone.

It was a better day today. I actually was weeding last night and a momma something or other started squawking as I was exposing so I stopped. Nathan did halfway around the pool. Dennis is doing the rest and maybe Nathan will do the walkways. Dennis sprained his hand badly so I am doing most of what he does. Nathan has had a persistent cough since surgery. They say it is one of the meds he is on so they are trying him without it for a week. He is also bruising and bleeding easily but his cardiologist insists he still take his thinners. He says he needs to bruise up his eye so he can blame it on me. LOL Just from weeding he was bleeding terribly.

Is he getting his blood thinners levels tested, PT,PTT,INR, not sure which, I didn't work in that department. They might have to readjust dosage. I think his blood thinners are here to stay. Weeding action can be traumatic, my hands get very sore, strained and occasionally bruised, hope everyone is using gloves. You have to develop a technique when weeding, minimal strain and proper tools, I use an old knife that's worn down significantly to a point, I can get out the tiniest of weeds using a simple wrist action. The classic weeding tool is terrible for me, useless, bad wrist action in order to use it. Maybe Nathan shouldn't be weeding, not with that bruising/bleeding.
My hands right now are in pain from weeding and tree trimming/excavating these past 2 days, I have to rest them.

He did all around the pool but not the walk ways. He just can't so it is what it is. We have a great tool for weeding but Dennis usually does the walkways and the around the pool but he can't with his hand. He can't even wash dishes and let's be serious. I am blogging at 852pm so I really never stopped today so weeding - that's laughable. We sent a pus photo to Nathan's cardiac surgeon. They may have to cut it back open as something must be causing this since surgery. But its nothing new so he probably won't hear from him till next week.Nathan knew I had no time. The moms are getting brush outs as if I bathed them tonight, I may crawl into bed at midnight. They had a bath a week ago so oh well.

You need to be careful about weeding. Maybe it is you that needs to stop? <ducking> I bet the garden looks spectacular though.
