I am Late

Thank you to Jersey's family for such a treat that arrived today. It is almost gone.

Here is today's gallery.

It was a very hot day and I couldn't swim as the gas people were here. This after waiting an entire month to fix it. Maybe I should be glad with the delay? Three of them showed up and it was a bad day. One good cop, 2 bad cop, if you know what I mean. I groomed with cold water as they had the gas off. They say the new heater is too big for the gas lines we have so we have 8 infractions that must be fixed in 42 days or we have no pool. Listening to the supervisor, he didn't care. We can't afford to dig up our gas line so we are going to have to contact our pool heater guy as they told us he should have known this. So faced with this - yet another smaller heater or an entire gas line and 42 days really? When we have bad news well it is a doozie. To tell you how nasty this was he even said the 2 water heaters that Enbridge installed was missing a sign saying water heater #1 and water heater #2. Hmm isn't that on them as it is their water heaters? I will make a vinyl sign and put it on each. Yes, I am serious. Then the flue is too close to the side. The gas has to be builtup and supported. On and on. So really bad day. Can't afford this even remotely. I want to cry. Has anyone had any idea how to deal with this?

Good news visitors have been amazing but do want the air conditioner. Tomorrow brings cool.

I think I need a stiff drink but so many great updates from puppy people. Thank you!!!

Thank you Darlah and Nathan for Bonnie’s playdate. I think she must have really played a lot …. she slept for a couple of hours when she first came home. So sorry about the pool heater…I hope you find a better solution than what they suggested. Take care. Next time I go to the hairdressers I will setup another play date for Bonnie.

bONNIE DID HAVE A TERRIFIC TIME.

Fiona: yes - need a solution. Just one more thing on so many things this year. Looking forward to solutions and getting past this. This is my only outlet so to have it cut short is weighing on me.41 days and counting now.

Can't give you much advice, just go back those who should have known. They better find a solution for their mess up.
Pity, you were just about to enjoy the summer and swimming, and finally get togethers.

We did go back to the person who installed the heater and he's coming Monday or Tuesday. He wants us to sell the the heater on kijiji and use that money for the new heater or run a gas pipe above ground. 40 days and counting. By the time he comes its 34 or 35 days till shut off. I told nathan this should be on him not us.

I'll bring the gin (Tanqueray, Blu Sapphire, Pimms)and Fever Tree tonic(cucumber, lemon or aromatic).
A drink is due every night till this mess gets sorted out and corrected, you trust people to do their job.

Hendrix plain, twist of lime and fever tree tonic. I talk but have not partaked. I may tomorrow. LOL I am mulling over the 3 sampler margaritas at Lonestar. Really break the mold.
