Memories Good and Bad

Pablo was here today and I heard from his mom about the last time he was here how her purse, Pablo was in the car and Pablo stood on the lock and she couldn't get in. Thankfully it was a cooler day but a costly one. She can tell it better but if I was me, I would have been crying.

Mr. Pablo was a moving target on the table. Never is usually but boy was he full of it. I had to laugh and laugh.

Here is the gallery.

Dogs enjoyed the less than muggy day. I groomed and groomed. Ms Ellie departed and oh boy is she a player. I wonder if she is at home tuckered out.

Here is a video of Astro and Coco playing plus on of Spirit and Coco

We got to see Ms Dallas today. That was a joy!

We are in puppy heaven here. They are all having a great deal of fun! Maybe I will go outdoors and chill with the dogs.

Here's the story.

I cheerfully left to pick up my boy, Pablo.

On the way home, I thought, I need some gas.
Stopped at the Shell near the 404 to get gas.  Filled the tank and just as I turned around to get into the car Pablo put his paw on the automatic door lock and locked me out!
I had left my mask, purse, keys and phone inside!
All I had was my credit card.
I'm like....Pablo, dear Pablo...Do that again!  Hit the unlock button pleeeeese!
I then had to go inside the store to tell the staff about my dilemma.  They kindly called a tow truck to help.
I waited and waited.  I was thinking, I will have to take a window apart!  It was pouring rain!  The Shell guy comes out to see me and says come in.  I'll give you a mask.
Finally, I am surprised by a guy in a BMW who says he is there to help.  It was his day off and the boss had called him.
He unlocks in me is 3 seconds!  You know with the mini pillow pump and a rod.  He separates the door a titch and slides the rod down to touch the auto lock.  Unlocked, Just like that!
Then we get to business and he tells me the price! $150 cash! I tried to negotiate but he wouldn't concede.
Well, I didn't have that much in my wallet.  So I go inside to the ATM.  It is Out of Order! WTF!
So I go tell my saviour and suggest that we go to the nearest bank and that he can follow me.
He was OK with that.  Off we go!
I go get the cash and hand it to him.
And I say..."Lesson learned!"
I will never leave my keys in the car again!

The same thing happened to our neighbour’s dog walker! My daughter and I were watching from the window (we like to admire the minivan-full of dogs). The dog walker left the car running and got out to pick up our neighbour Ruff at his house. Meanwhile we watch in disbelief as a cheeky little doggie in the van makes her way to the front passenger seat then puts her paw on the spot on the door where the lock would be. She didn’t just lock that van, did she? my daughter asked each other. Nah, that’s silly. Cut to the dog walker, with Ruff in tow, trying desperately to get into the van and finding all the doors locked. We lent her a phone and CAA came eventually but there was about a 20 minute period where 8 or 9 dogs just sat there on their own in a running minivan. Thank goodness the air was on.
Ironically all the dogs were very patient except the one who had locked the car. Bella (as we came to know was her name) kept barking and pawing and looking at the dogwalker like, “What is wrong with you? Open the door this instant!”
