Fun Rain and All
With the rain, we had lulls between when we could go out and when we couldn't. We spent most times indoors but we did have a fun run around the house experience. It was a bloody riot. The dogs - well they loved it and that is an understatement. You have to find ways of expelling energy and sometimes you simply have to be creative.
Ms. Harlow departs tonight so soon I need to give her a full groom.
A few dogs arrived. Two are day visitors. Thank you to one of the day visitors that comes once a week - Ellie's family for the lovely holiday basket. It has chocolate in it from Lindt and we all know how much Dennis loves chocolate. Me too as that is why I get those Purdy's cherry cordials. I must make a trip there soon.
We were supposed to get food at Costco but Nathan and his foot was not up to it. He saw his specialist. He got an xray in case he fractured it. I don't think he has or he would have heard and he can walk on it - just not easily. But otherwise he got good news about his arthritis etc but get this - NO MORE anti-inflammatories like Aleve as it is supposedly bad for his heart. Who knew? Did you?
The 4 crew is with us an extra night. Something about windows and rain. Silly window installers. Can't they work in rain? That is why the dogs are visiting and they are having a great time. I am happy to have them the extra time!
I did brush everyone out and washed feet seeing it ius muddy out there. I can miss that part again but I doubt I will.
The dogs just finished eating and it's tv time!

Tom just mentioned that new studies show that NSAIDS cause worsening of arthritis.
That is interesting.
I went to a rheumatologist years ago who was about to prescribe Diclofenac by mouth and warned me would help w/ pain, but could speed up the progression, so I opted out. Her recommendation is Tylenol over all other over the counter meds. Now there is Voltaren which is Diclofenac, but since it’s a rub is safe to use w/o side affects. That and tylenol is an effective treatment.
And Costco is by far best place to get Voltaren. Two pack almost same price as one at the drug store.
