Boots and Update
I am posting early to ask what boots do you use, if any and why. Sherry is using the balloon ones and they are irritating Murphy's feet. We do not use boots so I can't offer her an oponion.
I call this - got to fly! It is an exceedingly busy day today and Nathan goes to class with Kinsey tonight.
Dogs are running, playing and now singing for their suppoer. It's a dog day fun day today!

We tried boots but they keep kicking them off, so we wash their feet and undercarriage after each walk, with a mixture of shampoo and conditioner, in a bottle with a dispensing lid, ie empty dish washing bottle, in the sink, towel dry and then brush out later. I find adding the condition does make a huge difference, their legs furnishing don't mat and it gets rid of the road asphalt/car oil smell that is just revolting.
Instead of the balloon boots (which I reuse for the whole season until they rip, but they get nice and loose so don’t irritate) you can use a stick of goo that you coat the bottom of their feet with. I forget the name but I got it at global pets. It keeps the salt from sticking and that is what hurts their feet.
Bag balm?
We have that too, it's called 'Invisible Boot'.
Stella has worn muttlucs since she was a puppy. Easy to get on.
Thanks for all the great ideas!

This year we bought the Canada Pooch boots that have velcro that ties at the ankle and then there is a cord that pulls tight at the top. They worked really well and mostly stayed on. It made a big difference as their feet get really cold especially that Teddy likes to walk in the snow all the time.
We laughed so hard at these pics! Theo is having too much fun! Looks like he made a friend because he seems to play a lot with the little
Chocolate one. I see panda is overseeing play in her typical monitoring fashion. Thanks for the pics. As for boots, we don’t use them. I walk them on a non salty route and they seem good with that in the winter.
We use walkee paws.
They stay on wonderfully and connect over the dog's back so you don't lose them. They rarely slip off because they tighten at two different places, but if one comes off, it's still connected to the others.
Highly recommend. I feel like I've tried everything, and this one works so well. It's great for all year round too.
