Let Me In

Here is the gallery.

Do we have snow. As this was Dennis day off, I didn't shovel out in the back. It needed it but I had a day. Nathan can't shovel as he had a heart attack. Dennis was off so I went out in front and shovelled the driveway and entry way. It was heavy snow and our electric snow shovel wouldn't pick it up as it was too heavy. So, with shovel in hand, I took one shovel full at a time and threw it into the yard. I was sweating under my coat. I had sweat on my face. I thought of stopping many times.

To add insult to injury, our van had no heat in it. Soto the mechanics it went. Our other van is dead and needs to be towed. So, Nathan brought it in and ubered home. He didn't have an uber app so he installed that and used it. He was impressed. Then he waited and ubered back when the van was done. All I could think is no car and a gal delivers. Was anxiety filled but gald it is fixed. If we had an emergency, can't have a mom and pups in an unheated car and besides can't even put on defrost. Nathan was so frazzled he forgot the alcohol we needed to soak the hemostats in. Tomorrow...

Some of the dogs thought this white stuff was wonderful. Some said let me back in and some said - really you want me to go out in THAT?

Then Dennis, on his day off went out to shovel the driveway. What - you said you did that. Yes, I didn't do a good enough job. Can you believe?

Astro and Tenshi departed. Bailey is departing in 45 minutes. Harlow arrived. Despite the white stuff and well me carrying more than my usual weight, the dogs had fun and that makes me happy. But let's hope on nathan's day off tomorrow, hallie doesn't cut his day off short.

I still have to put their photos on the whelping boxes tonight but we are almost ready. Baby Bell cheese and vanilla ice cream and starter mousse is all set. I just need alcohol. It gives Nathan an excuse to go out.

Yesterday was crazy as I cleaned and organized as well as get xpens up with cameras, heat lamps, towels etc. It's been a heck of a 2 day experience but when I crawl into bed and the dogs - mine and visitors won't stop licking me - essentially keeping me up - I smile. Hope you have smiles with yours too.

We'd gladly help out with a drive but logistics says I'm 1 hr away. But if push comes to shove please do call and we'll see if we can help.
How is Dennis' wrist after the snow shoveling, I'm worried it's going to hurt big time. Tom did a couple of driveways this am prior to going to the university for a conference and he's tired, stress from that too.
My doggies are loving this fluffy snow, a fun run around the backyard, quick businesses and in we go. But now it's warming up and 'snowballs' everyone lol.

We have the van back. When we have an emergency, we need a car. You can't wait. Thank you for offering! Dennis has not complained yet so I am hopeful. What is irritating is he didn't like my job and it almost killed me. I had a bad day with too much going on so that was icing on the cake, so to speak. Sorry Tom is stressed. Hopefully he is chilling! Not sure how he did the shovelling with it being so heavy.
