Juggling

Ruth passed at 512am this morning.

I will be juggling Sunday and Monday's grooming. Sunday we need to go to the funeral home to do a video with Ruth's mom to make decisions. She is in a wheelchair and can't go to them. Nathan feels he can't do this alone. Monday, most likely the funeral will occur. So, I will be grooming inbetween everything. Nathan is supposed to be at a dog show working it on Sunday till Wednesday.

Lots of grooming today too.

Thank you.

This last stint in the hospital has been 19 months. Before that 8 months, before that 6 months and before that 10 weeks. In all that time, Katie was here. Even when Ruth made it home, 3 times a week while she was on dialysis, we picked up Katie and returned her late each night. She had a DNR and they revived her not looking at her chart. For 7 days they tried to manage her pain but often she was in pain. It was even more brutal for her caretaker who lived and breathed it daily. She had a childhood friend that came to visit and that was her last good visit. I was so glad. Seeing her in pain has been the worse. Making decisions to make sure Ruth had her wishes has been difficult. Tomorrow we head to the funeral home to help her 88 year old mom make decisions. She forgets a lot. We are hoping the funeral is Monday. Nathan is supposed to be at a dog show working it. I suppose he will go after services. Me, I am juggling grooming and no, I am not cancelling anyone. We will figure it all out.
