Cool Fall Day

Sniffing the cool air - ah fall is here!

Here is the gallery.

The dogs are enjoying the cool air. I am not sure I am. I do not think Nathan is either as he complains that it is not sitting out in the sun weather. Oh well... It is what it is.

We are already filling up for the Christmas holiday. So, if you need us, let us know sooner than later.

I broached the idea of a snowplow this year or a snowblower. Nathan says - nope can't afford it. Dennis will do. OMG! Each year I broach the subject and each year I give up.

It will be interesting when the white stuff arrives how welcoming the dogs are to it! I hope we get some and they love it. I may have to buy snowpants so I can stay out there with them. Tis the season....

Who out there does trick or treat or handing out candy with their dogs? We shut off the lights as we do not want to dogs to have barking frenzies. I don't want to stress them out. So we go dark and quietly watch tv. What about you?

We had a small snowblower, only would start in summeršŸ¤£. Tom actually likes shoveling the snow, he goes out multiple times so that it doesn't accumulate. He also does some other neighbors as well.
We do trick or treat, our pups like seeing them once they understand what it is.
A bigger problem is them bringing in all the leaves, twigs, keys from all the trees, and that includes a daily undercarriage and foot wash sometimes!

We no longer do Halloween with the kids, just too stressful for my two pups.

Never been a fan of Halloween trick or treating. Mostly just b/c it disturbs our dogs same as firecrackersā€¦.maybe not quite as much.
But, we put out a pumpkin & give out treats. This will be the 1st year since Covid we will open the door. Previous years weā€™ve had a display with treats & a sign saying, please take one. Last year the honour system didnā€™t work. So we will welcome them & hand out. One of us keeps Laci isolated. This year she may not hear them as her hearing diminished. Sometimes itā€™s helpful for them as far as comfort goes.
