Oh Messy Times

Very few photos.

I managed to comb out a bunch of dogs and as you can see here they are mighty messy. It's raining again, of course. It is supposed to be all week other than Thursday. Dennis says he would rather play when it stops raining then click photos. I get that. He is under the belief that they need to expel energy and they do.

The dogs still manage to have fun despite rainy days. 

Sadie, Jersey, Gus, Milo and Mocha departed or departs today. Keeping dogs dry for pickup can be mighty interesting.

We were just told yesterday Ruth will not be going home again. It is no longer safe for her being home any longer. We suspected but it's another thing to hear from her doctor.

Short blog today. Despite that, the dogs get cuddles, play and simply have fun as we wouldn't have it any other way.

Part of a Day

Nathan and I got together with his siblings at his brother's house. This is the 1st time since before covid. We were only there a few hours but it was nice. We brought Yoshi and she got to play with Chiclet and Corey. It was fun for her too. 

Dennis held down the fort and did a fine job. Our youngest son came with us and then mowed the grass when we returned. Bonus as I thought I would have to do that tomorrow. 

We have a few dogs we have not seen for sometime arrive. A few depart tomorrow. 

After we returned, I had to groom but Nathan took a nap and well Dennis played with the dogs till I finished. As you can see, I am late blogging it. 

It's a very busy weekend but fun is had. It is quite nice to see the play. It does something to your spirit. 

Dogs were majorly silly in play today!

Let the Games Begin

Crazy day. Reggie and Mr. Bean departed. A number is coming tomorrow and we have a family get together for lunch tomorrow. I think we haven't got together at Allan's except pre-covid. Hope it doesn't rain. I come back to groom. LOL Shall I rush? I suppose I must.

Dennis was beside himself as a puppy ate his VR cord and he can't fix it. It is his day off. I think they want 150 for a new one - yikes!

Koda, Astro, Rosey, Milo, Louie was running through the grass and getting soaked. I had to comb and dry them so no photos of that. LOL I need a camera attached to me 24/7. 

Last night Murphy and Safi was spooning. I missed that too as who takes a camera to bed? Murphy and Safi are sisters and they still have a very strong bond. It is delightful to see. Murphy heads ho me later today and Saffron will miss her. 

I am trying to make Nathan heart healthy meals and he is not impressed. 

Ozzie and get this Tuppy really really like each other. 

Opus is I think beside himself today as Ozzie is his playmate. Oh, it will change - just watch. 

Finnegan arrives tonight. 

Everyone really is playing and needs the fun outdoors between the rain.

We had a huge thunderstorm this morning starting at 4am. No one wanted to go out when we got up. Silver lining - no watering plants. LOL

The Bean and the Dawgs

Mr. Bean arrived for an overnight. Think I will comb him out tonight and bathe tomorrow. I have had 7 dogs today already to groom. It's been a busy day. 

Nathan was at the cardiologist due to afib issues and he is slated for more tests at the end of the month plus daily testing that gets sent to the cardilogist. Joy... So, he was napping when Mr. Bean arrived but will get to see his parents tomorrow. He was disapointed he was in bed.

Dogs have been playing and hanging out with Dennis. Nathan is feeling better so he is up now. 

Dogs were running through the tall grass. I have to make time for mowing and well to be honest I have to have the drive. It's not today.

Dennis played an ice cube game today. Some enjoyed - others didn't. Some ust wanted to watch. Got to try new things to keep it fun.

Messy Dawgs and Storm Coming

As this is my day off, the dawgs look mighty messy and they get to have a day off from grooming. We all need that every now and then. 

Dogs are full out playing - so I will have my work cut out to groom. 

We are awaiting a storm coming in. Only 1 dog here doesn't like storms so we do creative things to help him. He departs tomorrow. I can hear the thunder starting.

Nathan is off to the doctors tomorrow. I have a full day of grooming so let it be cool. LOL

There is bread that I adore at a bagel place next to Longos. Hopefully Nathan will get me some.

I have started to try to figure out what I can bake flour tortillas on so it creates a bowl. So far, I suck at it but I suspect its due to not having the right bowl. Any tips are appreciated.

Dogs are waiting for tv time and cuddles!

Chilling on a Warm Day

Neo and a few more dogs was chilling with me on the outdoor lounge couch. They were enjoying the light breeze.

Chester departed earlier. Ruby arrived for the day. Daisy, Skylar and Leo departs later. Noah and Zoe are with us for a couple of extra days. 

This was my day off but had to cancel plans. Nathan was feeling under the weather so we or I will try for tomorrow. 

The dogs are enjoying outdoors. Now back inside with the crew. Nathan is taking a nap with a few and well I may take a quick chill out nap with the others. We shall see.

Sorry not everyone was in the photos today. Dennis took photos while I groomed and he simply doesn't always realize who he clicks and who he doesn't. We have many dogs going home today so I was very busy. The pups are departing tonight and puppy fun will be over except for Chai and Yoshi.

We just finished dinner and Neo wanted their food and they wanted Neo's food. The grass is always greener they say.

Dogs are still having fun. While Dennis was watering the plants, some wanted to grab the water in the air. Got to love dawg fun!

Comings and Goings

Each time I ask Daisy for a photo, she shakes her head and perks up her ears. Do you think she know what a photo is? I just laugh.

It looks like it may rain tonight but that is okay. The dogs and us (always one of us or more out with them) enjoyed outdoors a great deal. No swimming but weather was perfect for hanging out.

Dennis and I, while Nathan napped with a few dogs, watched Witcher. We were surrounded by dogs on the chairs, on the beds, in the crate and every which way. 

So far, it has been a great day. Tiny arrived (haven't seen him for quite sometime). Ruby departed. Ollie the Coton leaves tonight. Tomorrow a crowd departs. LOL They will be missed and only 1 arrives. The pups are departing so I will be doing lots of moving target grooming. Lots of grooming tomorrow but I prepped a few. That makes it doable.

Noah and Zoe depart tomorrow and have had an outstanding time other than thunderstorms. One of them was not happy with those noises. Ms Neo will have her body snuggling last night with us.

Ozzie and Tiny is like they were reunited with their long last pal. They have had to be here at the same time  previously and recognized each other. 

Mr. Chester departs tomorrow if the planes fly. He is in love with Ella. He has competition with Opus. What is it about Ella, guys? Milo has found his niche and I could go on and on. 

Tomorrow is a new day but know all are having a glorious time. Soon tv tim

Nose Touching Moments

Neo was greeting everyone with nose touches. It was and is ever so cute. 

We have puppy times with puppies visiting. You will see it in the gallery towards the end. 

It started out cloudy but oh boy is it hot now. It is Nathan's day off. Tomorrow is Dennis day off. 

I had to get a new pump for my bathing beauty and unfortunately it is loud. How do you know what brand to buy. I hope it doesn't bother the pups. We shall see. At least it pumps. LOL

We have had some interesting pickup days and times. It seems Air Canada is still cancelling some planes so will there be a pick up or not? Do not worry. We have your dog. We have Ollie that was supposed to be picked up at 3pm but I suspect it may be tomorrow with the flights. He's not the only one. 

Dogs are playing and enjoying this weather. I took photos where I could. We have some strawberry eating dogs. I caught 2.

We have some water playing puppies with the water bowls. Ice cubes are a hit. I need to make some chicken broth ice cubes. The dogs love them the best!

The Rain Came

If your dog arrived today for boarding or grooming late morning to early afternoon, they may not be in the gallery. Rain arrived and we do limited photos indoors. I apologize for the groomings but the boarders, tomorrow no rain - let's hope.

Everyone is doing well and are welcoming to each other. Pups are here playing. Adult dogs was laying with me on the couch outdoors till the rain began and we rushed inside - well they did. I sat under the gazebo.

Panda, Theo and Mia departed. We are awaiting Fudge before we feed dinner. Dennis is going to see who wants to run like crazy upstairs after a quick out and in as it is mighty wet out there.

Ollie departs tomorrow after a good grooming. Oh boy he needs it. He's been combed but he likes to muck it up. 

From 12 to 1pm we will be watching a funeral in Montreal online. Nathan's grannie's sister died yesterday. She was the last of the siblings to die in that family generation. We are sad. She was 100. Her siblings all died older than her. Imagine that. 13 of them. Yes, 13.

It was my day off today. It doesn't feel like a day off. Nathan's is tomorrow.

Mighty Hot

I still have 3 dogs to do so this blog will be short. It's too hot to stay out for a long time. Geez - smoke then heat. Poor doggies but the sprinklers were on in the wee hours so the grass was cool. They figured that out fast.

Dash and Yoshi went swimming. Dash is such a strong swimmer - Yoshi too. They dried fast. Dash is going home tomorrow so it was a perfect time for him to swim. 

Dennis is about to feed the dogs and I am going to start grooming.

Dennis said he is going to do a run game upstairs so the dogs stay cool but still have fun.

Always something to complain about. Smoke, heat, rain.... what a 

Hot Day Indeed

Yoshi got her rabies shot today and so far no issues.

Me, I groomed and groomed today and really need time off but not till Thursday. At least tomorrow is not as brutal as today so a pool break may be in the cards. Watch it rain!

Dennis got the around the pool and pathways mostly weeded. I had been weeding 90 min a day. Nothing today. I need to veg. 

I cooked a Tortilla in the oven and made a bowl and threw something called a raw salad in it. The best part was the tortilla. 

I am too tired to blog but dogs departed. Dogs arrived and well, my ipad case has broken. I think I am going to snuggle with some dogs and try to stay awake. How about you?

Almost Clear in Every Way

What is that beast in the pool. Hey, the water is almost clear now. 

The dogs are enjoying the warmth and sun. 

Tomorrow I start at 7am and probably stop grooming at 10pm. It is a busy day. 

Yoshi gets her rabies shot. 

Barney, Reggie, Tucker, Buddy and who else goes home plus grooming. It will be the end of the long weekend. 

I should be in the pool but I am not. Nathan is napping with many dogs. Dennis is napping with plenty of dogs. Got to laugh - all dog tired.

Fun of Play

I will tell you Yoshi is such a happy happy gal with her siblings to play with and that includes all 15. She gets so joyful to see another to play and usually Tuppy comes and goes but no extended time till now. As you can see, they surely love the play.

I hope this has been a fabulous long weekend. Despite the rain, it has been for us. 

Dennis says 20 minutes a day to weed and it will get done. I laugh. He has allergies. Nathan said he is not capable so I am the lawn mowing person and won't give green feet only to make more work for myself so stop raining so I can mow - not that I enjoy but it's a must to do. PS: I saw a ladybug today - not a lilybug. I applaud. I hope there is many. Only saw 1 when weeding. Yes, I weeded for 30 minutes today.

We have dogs going. Dogs coming. Still the weekend is not over. 

I did manage to get dogs departing groomed and combed out plus many more. 

Dogs are having a TON of fun! 

It's not swimming weather but the pool gets cleaner daily. It is almost back to what it is supposed to.

Can't  wait till we all can swim including the dogs.

Happy Canada Day

We have one dog afraid of the rain and thunder but the storm was short lived. We had high oppressive heat. Then the rain came and cleared the air. They say the storm is returning. Tomorrow 80% chance of a storm. Remember, your dogs CAN and will be affected by smoky air. It is why we take them out for very short times but each dog is different and can show signs of stress. I celebrate when the air gets cleared.

We have a full house today due to the holidays and dear old Fudge jumped in the pool. I had to wash and blow dry him. You have to love adventurous dogs. 

I used a clarifier on a couple of dogs today that I was grooming. It's a 3 part process but I love how their hair came out. I used Vellus clarifier that I haven't used for quite sometime. As I get around to washing my own dogs, I am going to try it on them. You use the clarifier, then shampoo then conditioner. The Vellus is high quality so it only takes out excess product and leaves the hair really clean. 

Nathan had his nap with quite a few dogs and then woke up to no rain. Lucky him. LOL

I am taking a break by blogging. Today, I feel like I need a nap but still have some grooming to do. Nathan's nap interferes with that when Dennis is off. Poor Dennis hit the chair punching something in a game. These VR games can be dangerous.

The puppies always want to go for a nap when Nathan does but some of the adults do too. 

Our pool is almost back to being clear. Would have been, I imagine but we got lazy vacuuming. After so many days and days of it, it is good to take a break.

Last night Dennis and I carried the toy box that is actually a table into the familyroom/my office/whelping room. It was good to have more room for the dogs and be able to put my feet up. Took us long enough as it was really heavy and Nathan says he can't carry anything so it's me and Dennis. I am not sure I can carry heavy things but probably good for me. It is important to maintain strength. 

As soon as I sit down on the couch, I will be surrounded by dogs snuggling with me but grooming 1st. Almost done...till tomorrow.

Recently a breeder got robbed by a puppy potential. People often ask why only in winter do we allow people indoors. I am a paranoid crazy, I suppose but do the math. What are the chances that someone could do the same to you. Yes, the dogs would bark but these are friendly dogs. It gives one pause. We do have alarms and cameras all over but still.... Not long ago - about 2 weeks ago someone broke into our car. Camera was out of memory but how did we know? Someone went through the glove box and put everything all over the car. Now, we live in a nice  area but it can happen. When we first moved into our home we never locked our doors so family and friends could just visit but we lock everything these days even during the day. We live in a crazy world. I miss that open door policy we had but getting caught in a robe is not fun either. LOL

I will leave you with that thought.

T.G.I.F. Long Weekend

Everyone - well most everyone seems to be late today. Maybe it is - oh it's the long weekend syndrome.

Make jumpeds in the pool today so he had to be washed and blow dried. He is going home today so he started his long weekend right or maybe wrong. LOL

Air quality is bad again but doesn't smell or look that smoky. They say this may occur all summer. I hope not. Hope they get control over the fires.

Dogs are enjoying today but when they go outside, they do seem bothered from the air. We do not keep them out long. They go out to do their business - get a walk around and back in. Still, in the house they lounge. They play and Dennis always takes them upstairs for a huge run. They love it so!

This is a good start to the long weekend. I hope you all enjoy. We are dogging it. Best holi

We Can Breathe

We are heading into a long holiday weekend and we can finally breathe. Dogs are happy and so are we.

It is my day off. I am taking my daughter to Lonestar for her late birthday present and sitting out on the patio. I am glad the weather cooperated.

I swam. The dogs did not as that would mean a brushout by Nathan. LOL So, the dogs get a break from grooming. That's okay too.

Clarity and Farley departed. We had so much fun with them.

Koda, Pepper, Koda and Maki arrived. Ellie is here for a play day and Socks - mom had her hair back and I had to ask who is your dog? This is a person I have seen over and over but never with her hair back. She looked gorgeous. We will miss Socks too. 

Koda is here for a bit and is so happy to be here with wagging tail greeting is all. How nice is that!

Tia, Benji, Maki and Pepper departs tomorrow. Maritimes for Tia and Benji - lucky ones but long drive. A number arrive but only for a weekend.

Rabbit was safe today from Noah and Zoe who gets the others going. The baby rabbit is MIGHTY fast. It hides in our middle garden I imagine till lights go out. It has learned it is not safe to come out unless it wants a lot of exercise.

Our pool is getting cleaner. We can actually see the bottom of the pool. New filter is working but we still have to fill it to the top daily and waste vacuum it. What a waste of water but you have to do what you have to do. We are hoping in a few days it will be crystal clear. I am at least hopeful now.

Smoky Times

No gallery today.

We have serious smoke here and it really is not good for the dogs to be outside so we take them out for a few minutes then back in. This is supposed to be gone by 6am tomorrow. Photos are not important when you have to focus on getting them in and out and watch for any signs of it affecting them. So far we are okay.

I love the dogs and the photos can come tomorrow.

We are playing indoors. We are having grooming and cuddling time. Everyone is enjoying.

I just got breaking news from the Star that Toronto air quality is among the worst in the world due to wildfire smoke.

So, the dogs come 1st. 

Despite all this, they are enjoying each other's company!

Visitor and Rain

It rained. It thundered. So when Christine arrived we sat in the entry way. It was good to see her. Thank you dearly for the water plants. Also - thank you for allowing Clarity and Farley to stay here for a couple of days. Hope you enjoy the concert.

We do not have too many outdoor photos as it was pouring and we were under another tornado watch. But as it has on rainy days, the sun comes back out late.

Dogs are really excited about Clarity and Farley being here and Clarity is a suck sitting on Nathan's lap. They are having a great time.

Now Socks is thinking the rabbit is fun to play with. 

Pool filter was replaced and troubles still persist. I need a spa chill out experience. LOL

Big Thunderstorms

We had a big thunderstorm and supposedly under a tornado watch. LOL I doubt that will occur.

Dogs are tired of rain so when they went out, they stood on the dry tables and looked at the wet below. Can you blame them?

Dogs I groomed had to stay inside. 

Ms Cassie has departed. Yoshi is mighty quiet since but she got back to playing with Chai. The pups had a grand time this week.

Dogs had a lot of fun but there was no bunny hunting. I had plants that got damaged and knocked over. My garden is a mess - and I am at the point of - who cares.

Tomorrow a new sand filter gets installed. We will see how long before we get clean looking water. It's clean - just sand on the bottom. It is futile to vacuum we have learned as it gets vacuumed out them it comes back.

Dennis is yelling at me to watch Silo. It is the latest we watch together. The dogs will surround us as the dogs rest.

Lots departed - lots coming for holiday weekend. We are excited. Great to have a holiday with the dogs - don't ya think?
