Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 2:51PM The dogs are really in their element today playing up a storm. Some also chose nap was a better idea. LOL They do love taking a nap with Nathan.
Weather is not great but not bad either. It could be worse. It's perfect for play, play and more play.
As I type, Dennis is heading to doing a run game. They have a blast when he does that. It is funny watching who cuts corners.

Dogs are enjoying this weather vs. yesterday. It's foggy, overcast but not raining. The dogs are enjoying each other. Riley has departed. Coco and Bailey will depart later. Nap time is already in progress for the dogs who choose to crawl into bed for a nap with Nathan.
Life is good here for the dogs. They so love the relationships. No one dislikes anyone. They all just gravitate to different dogs and enjoy. It is like a party in the making daily!

I am a bit trashed today. Had some groomings - many more tomorrow and juggling, I suppose.
Nathan has yet another hematoma from his ipad falling on his foot. He says he is in a lot of pain and can't sleep and can't do much of anything but sit and watch tv. He has an appt this Thursday with his specialist. I think I need to bubble wrap him. Now you know why I am so tired and to make matters worse he moans and groans and I had to tell him to stop as when he does, I think about my knee and I do not want to think about my knee. Maybe by summer we will all be doing marathons. Let's hope. Between Dennis and Nathan, I am carrying a huge load. At least Dennis does do everything he normally does except dishes or carrying etc. I would be royally screwed.
I have the dogs and they make me happy - my own and visitors alike.
Dogs are eating as I type. Dennis is feeding. As soon as he is done. I need to wash the dishes as Dennis can't. I hate dishes. LOL I hate laundry too. What a crab fest this is.
Still, it could be worse.
Friday is our anniversary and I am not sure we will do anything but what we normally do. We shall see. There is always next year! Next year and the dogs and a written saga that I will eventually put in a book so after I am gone, he can remember. He can open it up on our anniversary and read. He does love to read.
Beyond it all, the dogs are having fun!
Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 3:03PM The cover always adds fun to the equation. The odd dog won't go on it. It is safe. Come spring 4 guys stand on it and wash it. I know this. I trust it but I won't walk on it. Nathan and Dennis will. Why won't I? I hate the bounce and dip. I suppose some of the dogs feel the same.
Dogs are having fun today. Pepper and Buddy arrived. Meadow and Abby departed.
Dennis was hiding treats for a game and suddenly he couldn't find them when he went to write down where they were. Harlow was the only one there grinning ear to ear. I guess that smartie pants has a secret. It's okay.
Friday, November 25, 2022 at 7:09PM We had a busy day. I cancelled a few groomings as I had not had sleep for well over 24 hours. I did get a 2 hour nap or a bit shorter but it made my body capable of doing 2 that are going home early tomorrow.
The dogs had fun. As Dennis was sleeping, we had the dogs outside of the room where Misty was having pups. Dennis went to bed so he could do night time duty. It all worked as I went in and out and well she onlt had 2. Sage had 5 in the same time as Misty had 2. LOL
Dennis did do a massive run with them outdoors today after he woke up to get them expelling energy. They so love it and he enjoys getting them so happy running like banshees. Then they come inside and rest.
Daisy was on time for the run and good thing as she so enjoys it. It would be ashame for her to miss it.
Abby and Dash had a grand time together. Dash departed today and Abby and Meadow departs tomorrow. I may be alive tomorrow too. Not alive for a marathon but alive.
Thank you to Dorothy we had soup today. So appreciated. We have no food in the house. I am not sure how Nathan did that but such timing. So, the soup was really welcomed!
Thursday, November 24, 2022 at 2:55PM It seems quieter today despite Mr. Dash arriving. He's napping and so are quite a few.
Dennis and I watched Sandman in the kitchen while Nathan napped. I took turns snuggling with one and then the next one and on and on. I like one on one time too.
Nami was the winner of the game Dennis played with them but he treats all. The winner just gets an extra treat.
Soon I have to start grooming more. Just waiting till Nathan gets up. Then I will get to it while Dennis prepares dinner.
Ms Harlow likes Dash. I laugh as she sometimes has this extra love for the wee ones. It makes me smile.
Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 2:46PM Here is Misty running after Polo who by the way is having the time of his life. We have several players in the house who are playing and playing and playing. When Polo came here for teh 1st time, he played but nothing like today.
Yes, this is Misty above TODAY. Talk about impending. I give up and I so need a nap.
Abby survived her shots and didn't miss a beat. It is interesting to watch Meadow and Abby's interaction. Abby is another who indeed has her play on. Riley, Abby and Fudge are napping along with a few more with Nathan. They need their downtime. Me, I need a couch. LOL
The dogs - ours - visitors are having the time of their life. Will they climb on the couch and nap with me?
Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 4:04PM Sherry asked me to ask what booties you are using - brand - where to get them as the last ones she tried created mats. We do not use booties. They are good to keep the salt off their feet especially in the city where its plentiful in the cold weather.
I started cutting down Riley as I am always proactive when pups are coming and you have no clue when that may be and then I realized she doesn't depart for another week. Oh well now all I have to do is bath and shape. That is okay too. I think I need more coffee. Being on wait for an impending birth means a lack of sleep always. Everyone else sleeps but me.
Nathan is getting the Keg tonight. We have 2 gift cards that we were holding on to for quite sometime and Nathan will do pickup. What a treat.
First he has to take Abby to the vets for her shots. Lucky him in the traffic at this time.
We bought more masks so if in need, we do have some at the door.
The dogs did not want to be outside too much today. It was windy cold.
Someone asked if we let the dogs outdoors by themselves. Although our backyard is safe (we have connected yards) and we check the area daily. Yes, meet my OCD son who feels better when he walks the fence line and I am glad he does. Nathan does it too. We ALWAYS go outside with the dogs. You see, how can you tell if they have an output issue. How do you know how they are interacting with each other. How do you know if they slip and hurt themselves etc. I know a lot of people open their door and just let them go. I get it - it is easier but by monitoring the dogs, you can stay on top of things and not assume. That makes me feel better. Besides, you couldn't take photos and you miss a LOT of fun by hibernating. I know - it is winter but fresh air is a good thing.
The dogs had a run today upstairs with Dennis. It is too icy outside. They have fun either way.
We have Fudge, Riley and Abby playing so much that they napped with Nathan out cold for a couple of hours. Dogs are always invited to nap with Nathan daily but it's very important for puppies as they don't usually pace themselves by taking naps. They are just too excited. Can you blame them. But when they hit that bed and see others napping, they do too.
Levon decided the cold was - well cold. He peed on the pad when everyone was going out and then turned away from the door. LOL
If you really watch the dogs - they are comical at times. You will find your laughter every single day no matter how bad it is. Dogs - well they are special and your heart swells with a good feeling - if allowed. Do allow. You will be glad that you did.

Levon and Trigger are playing up a storm.
Crepe acknowleged Harlow bur Crepe seem to want to play with others. Maybe he figured - new pals. It was his first time here and he had a great time. Our dogs are always welcoming.
Mr. Leo departed. He is a riot as he jumps in his bag when his mom arrives. A few do that. It is fun to see.
Ms. Meadow checks in on Abby but they play independently.
Everyone and I mean everyone is having a blast. I just finished grooming and we are on Misty watch. As I sit here typing, I noticed it is pretty gloomy out here outdoors. Can we have summer back, please
Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 3:47PM The dogs are playing and playing. Fun is to be had today. Well every day but they are spirited today.
Harlow decided to take over her spot and it is all hers.
We are now setting up for dinner. The dogs are anxiously awaiting their food especially Harlow, Levon and Trigger. They do like to eat.
Ms Coco has dropped in and she has been playing with Riley and Nica in a huge way. But everyone is playing.
It is snowing but it is light. How did we go from really warm weather to this?

We are still trying to figure out how to fit Misty in and so many conversations over what to move where and what not to. Got to laugh.
I did get a video up of a couple playing. They surely are having a ton of fun.
Nathan is napping with those that wanted to nap and teh rest just came back in with Dennis while he ran around like - you fill in the blank - with the dogs and they loved it.
Friday, November 18, 2022 at 5:14PM We had a busy day. Sage had her pups. It is cold outside. Dogs are having a ton of fun playing with each other though that play monkey Ozzie is missed by many. It was a partial day off for Nathan. Dennis is sleeping so he can do the all night duty.
Roger arrived! He is playing with Kinsey!
I am tired as I was up half the night due to Sage. Life in the puppy lane. LOL
Dogs will miss the run with Dennis today. There is tomorrow. I will do a hide and seek game instead. All is good and fun for the dawgs!
Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 2:51PM Rosie is here for a play day and a sprucing up. The mother's descended on her like locusts. I didn't get any videos as I was alone as Nathan was at the vets with Sage and Misty but Tempie was so excited and then wanted the other mother's to go away. She is now resting with her canine mom and Nathan as I type. She will get her bath and trim after they get up.
Dogs are not staying out so long as its really cold. It is Dennis' last day off. Nathan's is tomorrow. He keeps crabbing he may not get his day off. We shall see.
If your pup got snowballs this last snowstorm - only happens with wet snow - not with powder snow - get a 4 legged snowsuit. Pay attention to ease of off and on as there is that!
Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 1:12PM The snow is already beginning to melt. Our deck is now clear and the pool cover is clear. Will it last beyond today? We shall see.
We do have Sage's whelping box setup. In a couple of days we will try to fit in Misty's but have to figure out how to and still be functional and have room to walk. This may be a challenge but one we will accomplish.
This is my very last day off till Dennis is no longer doing a night shift so about 5 weeks from now - oh boy.
We went to Village Grocer which we call Village Thief as the costs are so high but they have this potato salad that I can't seem to duplicate and I was yearning for it. I also drove all over town to return a switch via Purolator. To do it for free, you can only bring it to certain places. It was irritating but now I wait 2.5 weeks to get refunded. Yes, that is how long they said. At least it is returned.
I am still working on my computer and it will not be done till after pups. I am still copying files over and organizing better and there is mail which is still on the old computer.
The dogs did enjoy the snow. I fit into a coat that I haven't been able to button in eons. Makes for less clothes to acquire.
I can't believe pups will come soon. Xrays are tomorrow so stay tuned to Misty and Sage's page tomorrow to know how many.

We had a fun training session with Nika - he was happy to meet her and enjoyed the training too - this boy of ours is very social - as long as he is meeting ppl, he is a happy camper :)

Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 4:39PM Had the 1st snow but 10 minutes later the deck was clear and the entire yard is clear. Will it snow tonight? Sherry asked me if the dogs were enjoying the snow. That is all we got and it didn't last so no fun in the snow.
I am going to gather all the whelping box stuff today for Sage. my day off is tomorrow and I actually want to relax. It will be my last. Dennis has Thursday and Nathan Friday. Will they get theirs? Thursday xray may be telling.
Winston was here and so enjoys Nami. They have a relationship. heh Alfie is also smitten with Nami. Is it her cologne? LOL It makes for interesting times. None bad but they seem to compete in impressing her.
I think tomorrow I am going to buy some popcorn from Silver City and watch a movie. Why not. The hibernation has begun. Going to miss going out but its cold. Think it is time for snow tires.
Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2:45PM Wild play is in the forecast then run inside and get some warmth. I guess it is deep fall or winter depending on the day.
Come Thursday, I will be busy getting whelping areas up. I still haven't figured out how to fit it all but easier with 2 vs. 4. I want my couch and recliner to remain.
I groom 7 dogs tomorrow and on Wednesday is my very last day off till the pups are 4 weeks plus. We shall see how that unfolds. It may be later as it will be holiday season then.
As soon as I finish the blog, I need to wash Stormy and maybe Sage and Misty for the vet. I am trying to get the dogs done before pups. So much for resting before. heh
Ms Harlow has her bath just before heading home. If I do it before, she figures out it is anytime to depart.
The dogs are having a blast. They are outside with Nathan and I am about to do Stormy. Got to get with it. LOL No time for procrastination. My reward.
Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:57PM Going to be a short blog here. Not sure how many actually read without newborn pups but we have Maury in the house. This last crew are pretty amazing. He came in the door and his mom Spirit was so delighted to see him. He is such a wonderful pup. He is now taking a nap with Nathan. Nathan covets the pups and can you blame him? Anyone that wants to nap with him can and do.
It is a very cold day considering what we had. Dogs do not seem to mind but I do.
Still working on the computer. What's new.
Ms Harlow departs tomorrow. Wonder if she howls for her supper at home. LOL
I pu out extra blankets for the dogs to snuggle in. I like them to be cozy. They do like softness.

Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 5:56PM This is Remy and Chester Chilling out in the tv room in their fave spots. We always have beds and blankets and what have you everywhere.
It was a cool day and I was chilly outdoors but I went out with the dogs while Nathan napped a few times. It is Dennis day off and if I don't go out enough, he reminds me. Yes, I am so laughing.
I am enjoying the speed on my new computer. I am still copying things over and installing but building galleries, editing, lightroom - all very fast. I used to go to the kitchen when building a gallery and come back and it was still not done. I may get my mail on my new computer before pups arrive. We shall see. That will be a daunting experience.
This week coming up is our last days off. We decided when the pups go upstairs for night time, we are going to go back to 1 day off a week. It truly helps to regroup. I still have a desk to organize, a print head to clean and a whelping box to decorate with Sage. Misty has a box done. Sage is due 1st so one would think I would get her done first. No - not I.
Dogs were running today many many times as you will see in some of the photos. They simply enjoyed the moments as we should too.
Friday, November 11, 2022 at 4:00PM This porting over to a computer is time consuming and well if my computer wasn't downright old and had isues, I would say stick with what you have. I am a techie - well was at one time so I know what I am doing. Have built computers so no bigge but just like you do in a house after so many years you accumulate too much junk. Some still valuable - some not but it has to be looked at. I have a lot of programs to install. It is going to take time but hopefully I am going strong by the time the pups come.
It was not raining this morning so the dogs enjoyed outside. Now, with rain they do not want to venture out. Can you blame them? We had Riley here - a delight. We also have Maki - pups. It always adds fun for us and the canine moms. Both moms in this case were so delighted! So - thank you for sharing them with us and with them.
Apryl was brand new here today and she was great. She had Rusty and Luna here but she ended up playing with others. Smiles were had to see a newbie arrive and fit right in.
How are we going to do it with Coco the Maltese departing. She keeps everyone in line and she tells the guys off for getting food ready too slowly - Harlow too. It makes me laugh. I thank the dogs as they make me laugh. So lucky to have them come. They make life better!
Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 5:20PM As you can see the play is on. Inside, outside there is always some activity called play. We never have quiet till bedtime. We have fun! One dog or another catches a nap when they feel the need. Nathan takes anyone who wants to go to the bedroom for a nap. They have so many options to catch some serious zzzzs but nap or no they play.
My computer is getting set up. I feel like I need a nap. Dennis has me doing so many things on my day off. I have a very full day of grooming tomorrow.
Sherry and I made it to Purdys and a Japanese dollar store. Now I am blogging and Dennis is trying to get me to make room for the computer. We will get there but maybe after a cuddle on the couch with dogs. I think it is next Thursday when we find out how many puppies and I start getting ready for that.
A few dogs arrived today to add to the fun.
The weather was fantastic. I sat outside to listen to a blogger. We only have our green table out. The rest made its way indoors last night. We are ready and bracing for the cold. Will the dogs love it? I surely hope so or it will be a long winter season.
