Pups and Dawgs

We have pups in the house and happy happy momma dogs. I mean so thoroughly happy.

The weather is good. Dash, Abby and Fudge are having an amazing time. When it came to nap time, Nathan took all 3 to bed and they completely conked out - him too. LOL Can you imagine being surrounded by pups for a nap?

It is Nathan's day off and he is so excited that he gets the day off with pups.

Dogs are having a blast and are delighted with this weather. My day is off tomorrow and Dennis gets 2 days in a row. After doing everything - the 3 of us 7 days a week - it is a treat. It won't last but - it's wonderful while it does. This good weather won't last either. 

I may go to Ikea - just because or stay in bed all day. Of course if I select the latter, it has to be with dawgs. 

Hope you are enjoying this amazing weather. I have a desk to clean, craft stuff to organize but not today. I have dawgs instead and that is my excuse. What is yours?

The Dance Plus New Additions

It's interesting. I go out to soak in the sun and the dogs go with me. I stay inside and they play and do this play dance. They know how to enjoy. We need to learn to enjoy too.

Nathan is taking a nap. I may too. Why not. It is quiet here and the dogs will gleefully take one all over me. 

I have this old couch. I tend not to want to get rid of it. You see it has a certain sag and comfort that new couches do not have. It is starting to show its age but I will climb into it. The dogs will too and we will catch some zzzzs. This is my day off. You cherish what you rarely have.

The dogs relish this too as they get so much me time. That feels good!

Exceedingly Warm Day I Missed

If I do not make sense, forgive me. I started grooming at 7am and stopped at 545. Now blogging. Tomorrow is my day off and I earned it. 

I am told by Dennis that the dogs had a ton of fun. The weather was good but they played in and out. There is a great mix of dogs here. I am afraid if I sit on the recliner, I will be catching some serious zzzs and 10pm can't come soon enough. I so hope tomorrow is warm too. 

The dogs kept checking up on me while I groomed. Of course that may be motivated as I do give a small treat after grooming and they think I should spread the proceeds. Can't blame them.

I finally got to eat while I blogged. Dennis had a run with the dogs. Games were played. %$#& laundry while I groom. Can I just groom?

Waiting for pickups and then climbing into the recliner. Maybe I shouldn't but...

Maybe I will dream of something to do tomorrow. 

Nice Day and Fun Visitors

This is Ms Luna. She was here for a haircut with her partner in crime, Rusty and she got to play with her littermate Daisy. I should have taken a photo of them side by side as it's hard to tell them apart.

Nica, Ella's littlest gal is over till tonight and oh boy she is having fun. Ella is so delighted but so is Rebel, Dash and Kinsey. Spirit sniffed her up crying to play with her and she did but then - oh she's not one of mine. Willow did the same. It is obvious they are still looking for their babies. So - for Ella's sake I am exceedingly pleased that Nica is visiting. Come December, Spirit's mom Leti will be visiting.

Dogs are loving this weather. So am I. It's how fall should be. 

The sun is shining. It's Nathan's day off and I am extra busy tomorrow so I am going to enjoy the dogs and make this short.

Does Fall Mean Awful Weather

Fall I thought was a leaves and visual experience but this year it simply means leaves dropping and rain. The dogs are actually getting sick of it. I do not blame them but they still manage to have fun inside.

We have a series of crates under our kitchen table without doors. They love to sleep, nap and well just watch. We still take them out but not all think that is a viable choice. They prefer the pads and that's okay. Can you imagine your bathroom having rain pour down on you? Think about it. LOL

We still do not have our heat on. We put it on for a day and Nathan thought it was too warm. Now it is too cold. Eventually he will give in again. That's okay as our tv room has a ton of blankets that the dogs can snuggle into and the humans. In my room where I blog, we have the same. I sometimes sit blogging with sweaters on, socks and well a blanket draping my body. 

Nathan made chicken and gave the dogs toppings with it warm. They loved it. 

He took an extra long nap with Dash who loves the afternoon naps. I think I would too. LOL

Miserable Day But Dawgs Enjoying

Ellie and Willow was out inbetween the rain. Leaves are falling. they are dragging in the debris and they love it. We keep cleaning. I wish I had a blower at the door that would blow the leaves and sticks out of their coat. I have to laugh. 

Bailey was visiting. So was Ellie and Willow. Opus arrived and oh my gad everyone wants to play with him.

Dash is one of our official greeters at the door. We are conditioning him. He thinks they all came to see him.

Patches decided that the recliner is hers. Usually Brewer claims that spot but he is not here.She is mighty comfie in the dog bed on top of the recliner.  

It is Nathan's day off and he decided to get a haircut for his leisure day. LOL 

The dogs like the extra TV time with Nathan. How lucky they are when he has a day off. LOL

Oh My Day Off

It's my day off and I got to go to Markville with Sherry. I was on the hunt for socks and of course Purdy's cherry cordials. Thank you, Sherry. Nathan combed out Murphy - well as good as he does. Me, I am not grooming today. I feel like the day is gone. How did that happen.

I come back and this puppy Dash jumps all over as if I had been gone for a year. Maybe his human mom wants to leave him and get a different puppy from the next litters? heh He is a smarty pants wonderful puzzle solver. He makes it up on the chairs now - up the stairs - oh my. He is a busy, fun boy. I am so enjoying him. Oh and his latest, barking at the reflection of himself. Today he was barking at Harlow to play and she said talk to the paw then turned her back to him. I so laughed. 

Despite the rain, the dogs are so enjoying. It is wonderful to see them play as they are.

Rain, shine - it's all fun. When they are happy, I am - yep even on my day off when they are jumping all over me - it's rather fun!

Wet Day Out

Here is the gallery.

It is supposed to rain all week. Sounds downright dismal to me and the dawgs.

That's okay. We find things to do inside. I can't do the run game but we did a hide the treats game. I like to keep their minds busy. Sometimes I do silly things and say sit or down to the crowd and see who does it. 

Puppy Dash lives up to his name. He dashes here and there. He takes deep naps and looks forward to Nathan's nap time. There are a number of dogs that do. Anyone who wants a nap is invited to share the nap with Nathan. Me, I just crawl into bed at 1030ish. I aim for 10. LOL

The dogs do full out play each day many times a day. So who cares about the rain.

Tomorrow is my day off! First day off in a very long time.

What a Day

I was going to fill you in on Dash on Tempie's blog but I am going to take the lazy way out. I will fill you in on everything here. 

Dash is fitting in like he was always here. Well he was for most of his life but he has no fear. Loves jumping all over the pool cover and the adult dogs. He jumps up in Nathan's lap when he is outside in the gravity chair - yes jumps. He sleeps deeply. He is getting a lot of exercise. I did upload a couple of videos. Tempie plays and plays with him. He takes a nap with Nathan mid day. He goes down the steps and uses the pad. The key to deep sleep is exercise. It is for us too. Wish my knee would cooperate. 

The dogs were playing like crazy today on and off the cover. They are delighted with the trampoline effect and the cooler weather. 

Murphy had no patience for Dash but she finally relented and actually played with him. It was if he knew so he kept up till she finally gave in. The rest of the dogs do not coddle him but expect him to keep up. It's an interesting dynamic.

Harlow arrived today. Kally departed. A number depart tomorrow. Lexi departs tonight.

Dennis has his first day off in over 12 weeks. He bought a game just so he can play and not do chores. Mine is Tuesday and Nathan's is Wednesday. 

I miss the pups immensely but it is nice to not be so time intensive. I have a desk to clean up. We have just started laundry yesterday and we are on the 18th load - yes seriously 18. Dennis takes all the stuff and throws it in the laundryroom so I can clean from inside and outside, upstairs and down. He likes it all organized and clean for the next pups and I am thankful when they come that we have everything fresh but it is days like this I would like to take a break. 

Katie is still here. Mom is in rehab and I am told she is making progress. Katie is full out playing. Harlow has her bed back and ate soon after arrival and just ate again. LOL 

Scruffy is in LOVE and I mean love with Hallie. Pepper I swear rolls her eyes. 

I just got a wonderful tongue lapping moment with Shlomo. I was combing him out. Those moments are priceless as who likes to be stuck on a table getting combed out. 

What can I say - a usual day. The dawgs they have a tremendous amount of fun. I am ever so thankful and glad. 

Exhausted in Every Which Way

It has been one heck of a 12 week span with no days off and non stop work till I crawl into bed. 

Dennis took the xpen down and built a shelf for my orchids so he had no time for clicking photos. Plus it has been raining off and on. So, after dematting and finishing my last dog today as of 835pm, I am now finishing this blog. Too many demattings as of late. It is time intensive and hurts my hands. Add to it all the stuff I had to get ready for the pups departing and the mountain of laundry Dennis has decided I need to do as we need to put all the puppy stuff away fresh till next time.

Above is Nami with Nathan in the TV room. All the dogs were hanging out with him while I was grooming and Dennis was building. Some of the dogs were in the kitchen watching Dash and Dennis go back and forth. 

I need to go do all the water dishes. Then take pain pills and crawl into bed.

Hope your day was less draining. Till tomorrow. I so hope the pups are all doing well. 

Fall Day: 2 Blog Day

This is Radar out back. He's been playing and we have had feet clean up as he likes to investigate the garden which is a bit muddy. He wasn't the only one that I did feet clean up with. The dogs were a bit miffed as it was raining this morning but it finally cleared up. 

Rain brings out smells and activity after it stops. 

Tomorrow they will have to contend with the enthusiasm of a puppy called Dash after the last 2 depart. 

Ms Coco the maltese was here. She is a riot as she tends to take over wherever she can. 

Scruffy and Pepper have taken over the bed on high in the tv room. Mr. Shlomo loves to sit on the chair and watch Dennis and his tv. Life is good for all the dogs. The ones that could had steak tonight sprinkled on their food. Every bowl was empty.

To Blog or Not

I may or may not be able to update today. I still have 2 dogs to do full grooms to so I am not sure what time I will finish. The rain put a damper on Dennis getting photos but he tells me he still may. Therefore, if he does, I will update this area. If not, know that the dogs are having fun and the sun is out. 

Radar and Patches are with us. Send good vibes to Angela - their human mom. This is her 3rd surgery on a detached retina - same one. This is a long journey for her. We genuinely hope this works. If it is any consolation - the duo is having fun!

No Rain Yet

We are busy here. I have to groom 2 dogs before tonight so this blog will be short. The dogs are having a great time. Saffron is out with the other dogs. No one is in heat - hooray! We await Misty and Sage.

Puppies are going home and we are getting fun updates.

One of the pups came back for boarding - Dash. He's having a blast. It gets quiet next week - not for grooming as I play catchup but for boarding. 

The cover is their all time fine play medium. Can you blame them?

2 Blog Day: Scroll Down

It was a warm day out today. I wish I could have spent all day out in it. The dogs had a blast. 

We got our couch downstairs and plants arranged and moved inside. 

Next move will be the furniture outside but not yet. We are still using it and I am hopeful for warm days here and there. We can always hope. 

Dogs are already piled into the tv room for their tv watching, snuggling time.

There are 2 blogs today in this area - 1 a birthday and this one.

I think I am totally wiped. 

8 Years Old

Wow!  Can’t believe that Clarity turns 8 years old today!!!  Where does the time go?.  I hope you are both keeping well.  This has truly been a crazy last 3 years and I’m still trying too catch up on things in the house & garden while continuing to work virtually from home and dealing with my bad ankle - although ankle is slowly coming around now with more good days than bad.

Sending you both this very quick picture I just took of Clarity.  She will get a special treat tonight and we also had a lot of fun on the weekend with my sisters both here and her cousin Roy (a rescue from Kentucky - the 3 of them all get along very well - I should have taken pictures).

We are wishing all her siblings a very happy birthday.  I always remember the great time we had celebrating at your place - I think it was in 2019.

We (Clarity, Farley and I) think of you often and try to catch up on the blogs at least once a month if not more often.

3 Blog Day: Happy Thanksgiving

The dogs are playing. It's a riot. It's as if they say it is cooler so let's warm up by playing our heart and souls out. 

They have had a blast today. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Enough people have asked me so I will explain. Boys mark when girls are in heat. They don't when not - only your usual on a walk. No one that has a boy needs to worry. We just have to deal with it as we have gals not spayed that do come into heat. Sorry about confusing you.
