Crazy Busy Day

I had a lot of dogs to wash, do haircuts on etc so here I am finally doing the blogs. I need to do more stuff and may have a gin and tonic so bear with me being so short.

Dogs are having a blast. Ice is still there despite the warmer weather. The dogs are running so it is more slushy than solid ice. 

Just know the dogs are having a total blast!

We have a pup going home tomorrow and I have 5 dogs to groom to go home so Dennis is talking about staying up till midnight to clean. I am so thoroughly laughing. It's not that it's so dirty. But tonight? I think I need that gin and tonic after all!

Boots and Update

I am posting early to ask what boots do you use, if any and why. Sherry is using the balloon ones and they are irritating Murphy's feet. We do not use boots so I can't offer her an oponion. 

I call this - got to fly! It is an exceedingly busy day today and Nathan goes to class with Kinsey tonight.

Got to Play and Play

Dennis doesn't always capture everyone playing as sometimes he would have to be carrying the camera with him always. That doesn't work but every now and then he gets moments like the above with Jersey and Pepper.

It is truly special to be a part of the dog's life = creating memories and smiling. This is priceless. These may be very busy times but you need smiles. As I am extra busy, Dennis is carrying more of a weight so if he didn't capture your dog - huge apologies. We are trying. But be assured they are all playing. They also all have blankets that I am warming up for the tv room when they come in from all that wet. It is so wet out there. That means drying one by one quite literally!

Wet Play

Opus departs today so after I do the blogs - around 2pm, he gets spruced up and boy he needs it the way he plays. All the dogs are playing but soaking floors, bodies, dryers, combouts - my day and I had lovely mac and cheese today. It is what it is. 

As I was getting the treats ready for the pups departing starting this week, I had all eyes on me. I wonder what they want. It can't be they just want me. LOL

This inbetween snow is - well a mess. Blankets galore in the TV room till I get to each and then it starts again when they go out.

On another note, we have quite a few Ukranians and Russian owners of our dogs. Be kind - help where you can. Each day I read and my heart sinks deeper. It's a sad time for the world. 

Monday Monday

Well with meltdown some cleanup but inbetween that you see Dennis running around like a maniac as the dogs chase him. It's a sight for sore eyes and then he slips - ouch. He's okay - just a bit sore and all the dogs jumped all over him kissing him. They so love his fun!

The dogs are truly having a blast despite the wetness and they say on the 17th it will be the warmest in 10 years. We shall see.

Two Updates Today

We have a happy 1st above and we have the dogs here having a blast during March break. With pups going home, I have a lot of things to prep so bear with me this week. I may be short as I am busy but that's because we are still doing all the normal things except shorter blogs. LOL

It has been snowing lightly off and on. 

Dogs were up at 6am vs 7am today - sigh. I tried to stay up till midnight to try to win something and fell asleep just before. Oh well... it was silly to do that. Sometimes I can be hopeful and well an idiot too. What was the chance of winning a 5400. Dreambox. Not great so sleep was a better idea!

Dogs are getting SOAKED due to this inbetween weather. Ice balls and all so I have that on my plate too. Do you?

Time Change Coming

Dogs have been having a marvelous March Break. I hope you are too! 

I am yearning for movie theatre popcorn but Nathan looks at me cross-eyed. It's 5 min away so he could go pick it up and bring it home. Oh well, not happening -  maybe for the birthday - yes I am laughing. 

Most of the dogs wanted to go for a nap. Good thing we have a twin saddled up to a king and a bench at the end so they have lots of room. It is how we sleep at night - on, off wherever they want.  I dream of designing something that expands the bed. I am so laughing. But for some reason they all ran to go nap. Maybe it was all of the play this morning. Even in this cold, and invigorating as it is, they did expel a lot of energy. Now they are sitting around saying hey you are late for dinner. I do so laugh. They know the time especially Harlow!

At 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 13, almost every clock in Canada will need to move ahead one hour to remain compliant with daylight saving time. Aren't you happy? Not me!

Fresh Snow

Today we got email asking us when we wanted to book our pool opening and I looked outside and smiled. Yes, it's snowing and the dogs love it.

To be honest, a nice snow dusting is pretty. 

We have a lot of players here. They are having fun and they are getting the ones that watch or play a little to play too. Nothing like a party when all the attendees are welcoming. 

The dogs are waiting to eat. Dennis is a bit slow today as they usually eat at 430 but he just came in after playing with the dogs outside. We have our priorities. Plat before eating. We could all use that!

Chilling

This is Harper after playing. There is something about the cool leather recliner that the dogs love. In the tv room we have 2 recliners and a recling leather couch. It is comfie for Nathan and the dogs. 

The 24th is my birthday so no grooming. That's my present to me - just have some down time - maybe a tall gin and tonic and a great meal - maybe blackened chicken from the Keg - takeout. Are they still allowing takeout? Here is hoping!

We still have a fair bit of snow, ice and even water pockets. I was just told more snow is coming. Yikes - enough. 

We have a nice selection of dogs here and everyone is having fun. Off to bed...

Mr. Reggie departs tomorrow. So enjoyed having him here! Tanner and Logan - both are having a great time and Ms Tiny Olive is telling the crew - its mine. So laughing!

Very Few

We had a long day due to the vet so little photos and I just finished combing them all out. Now they get TV time with Nathan.

Ice After Melt

We managed to get some photos today. They are not running but they are investigating and enjoying. Chester, Rosey, Brewer, Luna and Rusty departs today. They had fun but ice be gone!

Some went for a nap with Nathan today. We let them decide and they all know about naps. LOL

It was a good day. 

Ice

Dogs were unhappy about pelting hail most of the day and finally we have snow. Dennis has a no gallery day today as the dogs, even when they went out under the gazebo decided getting pelted was not fun and not good for the cameras. 

Dennis said he is going out after dinner to click some but we shall see. I will just do an extra big gallery tomorrow. These things happen. 

The dogs are all enjoying themselves. They have the most laid back day watching tv - well some do and playing inside.

No Gallery Day

This is an old photo of Truffie playing. There is no gallery. I promise catch up tomorrow as we are dealing with a lake out back. We are trying to avoid more flooding in the basement. 

Dogs are going up on the deck but really not in the yard as there is simply too much wind and water out there.

Meltdown Continues

Things are melting and yellow - well will it go away? It's not bad but I either like no snow or pristine snow. Call me crazy but it is what it is.

Ellie was here. Bailey dropped in. Jasper departed. Coach and Sassy arrived. Everyone is certainly enjoying each other and well we enjoy them. How could you not?

Thank you for the kind words about my slate creations for those that have seen them. Nathan told me. I am still learning but I am happy with these. It is fun to create memories captured!

Meltdown Fun

Long day - apologies for being so late. Thank you to Bonham's mom for the gift - so appreciative and the sugar high. LOL Thank you for Tenshi's mom for the Costco run. May your new job be an easier one!

Fun Times

I put this photo up as Tempie was kissing Rocky. Rocky hadn't been here for a long while so at first he was a tad hesitant but that's gone. This pandemic has really isolated so many dogs. Some hanging out here is good for them.

Everyone was playing today. Ms Harlow told Kinsey off for irritating her and then ended up in play with her. We can learn a thing or 2 from them. 

You will even see Ripley full out playing at the end.

Reggie has arrived and immediately got into play as did Gucci, Chester and Benji and Tia. It's been a truly outstanding day!

Kinsey goes to class tonight. Late night for them. Has Nathan practiced with her? We have to do a video with what she has learned in the next couple if days.

The sun is still shining so after they eat, more play but we are going to play with them so no cameras. Sometimes you have to do that!

Not Much Today

Investigating

The dogs were outdoors investigating. Dennis didn't get many photos but that's okay every now and then. I do have a video of Bailey, Misty and Kinsey that Nathan took. It's a low key day. 

Thank you for the lunch, Sherry! Nathan ate the entire fruit platter. LOL Murphy departed today. Rocky comes this evening and Amy also came for a few hours. Sometimes quiet is nice but doesn't feel normal.
