Wet Mess

Oh the dogs feet got washed so many times. heh

Here is today's gallery.

Moxie departed today. Rusty and Winston was here for the day. Gracie arrived. It's a fun house but a messy one and we are keeping Rusty in so he doesn't get dirty.

The term - I give up comes to mind.

Here I am blogging it and well I want to cuddle with the dogs on the recliner. So this blog will be short. Not much to report other than play, play and mud and cleanups.

Happy Birthday!!!

Hi there,

I wanted to share with you a couple of pictures of Murphy’s Birthday celebration!  He had a great time and is all partied out!!

Hi Darlah and Nathan.:

Looking forward to seeing you soon.  We are on our way to drop off Movie but traffic is a bit rough. We hope to be at your place around 1pm.

On another note, today is Miss Moxie’s birthday ๐ŸŽ‚. We wish all her litter mates, Farley, Cinnamon, Toupie, Ines, Secret, Archie, Velvet and Murphy a wonderful day full of treats and love ๐Ÿ’•.  And of course, our love to Spice and  Envy for such beautiful puppies. And especially to you, Darlah and Nathan.  Your hard work and love for Talemakers puppies bring lasting joy to all of us. Thank you so much for the beautiful girl that has enriched our lives in so many ways.

Looking forward to seeing you soon.

------

From Me: No usual update except to tell you its about to rain. Here is a small gallery. I do believe Moxie is yet another play monkey as she goes from dog to dog to get her play out! Too bad she is only here overnight.

Warm Ice Melting

Let me in to play with the pups - do you hear? Marco is so cute. He so wanted to play with the pups and he got his wish. He had fun and so did a number of the other dogs including Stone who ADORES the pups.

See the gallery.

Dennis has been pumping off the lake we had on the pool cover. It's taken him oh - all day. LOL

We had the pups outside so you will have to check their blog and we will be updating Cinnamon and Ella's blog today.

Dogs are LOVING this weather. They love running, lazing in the last of the ice, lazing on the diving board soaking up the rays. Who can blame them. It does feel good to be out in just a shirt and light pants.

Blogs may be short tomorrow. I must go get my scissors sharpened. I have to drive up to Bolton as they are too dull to cut - all 15 of them. hehe So, I must drive there, wait a few hours for them to be done and then come back. So, 9-2pm. It must be done. $150 to do all of them. Good thing I only do this once a year as I rotate scissors. If I was smart, I would use one set, send them out to sharpen and have the rest on hand but no.... I get it in my mind I can't do without any. So instead of a day off - I had to do a forced day off to get a sharpening. Wish Bolton was closer. Now before you say what does she need 15 scissors - some are straights, some curves of various sizes, some thinners of different sizes. Most I was able to get from groomers that were getting out of the business or figured out this grooming stuff was hard on the arms, hands, back and feet.

So, I may have to search Bolton to see what I can do there especially if the weather is like this. But that means no photos or very few. Sorry...

Off to check out what Dennis has accomplished. I no longer hear that wet/vac thing making noise.

Trimming Feet, Comb Outs and Sunshine

I managed to get everyone combed out today and trim Cooper and Spicy's feet but did I take a video - nah - too busy but I will do someone else's later as so many have asked how you do it.

Here is today's gallery.

Weather was great. We have a pond on the pool cover and the pups - well they can't help themselves. The adults loved sun bathing.

But do they look combed? Not everyone hahahaha. I so love a dog that rolls and messes themselves up. Don't you?

Looks like we have a mouse in the trug - argh

What a Day

This is Rosie before she got a spruce up - is that what you call it?

This is Rosie after her bath, thinning out and haircut. Her ears are starting to come back on after another groomer shaved her down. Rosie has thick, thick hair.

I tell you this as everyone is a mess and after I am done this blog, I am doing comb outs - yeah at 8pm. Between the 6 week visit (we have another tomorrow) and quite a few groomings for others, I am playing catch up. So cover your eyes as the gallery will show you a motley crew and as you know I comb daily but when you have the play we have, well we have a great need to comb out. LOL

See today's gallery.

The dogs are having a ton of fun. We had a day visit with Tuffy. Tuffy has a total blast when here. No adjustment at all this time. Oscar arrived and well Dennis didn't click all but I warned you blogs would be short.

Off to comb out. I am doing it tonight as I do not want any knots. :-) I know - why not wait till tomorrow... but tomorrow is busy too.

Wet Times

Brewer Smelling the MeltAs you can see we still have ice. It is NOT snow. But it is melting. Dennis took all these photos. I was simply too busy so if he is missing someone, apologies.

Remember I gave Marco a bath. He found mud so his whole undersides had to be cleaned. I almost just did his back and head cause at that point, why not. I have to laugh.

I did manage to get everyone combed out and its not 9pm. These photos were taken before the great comb out. It's going to be warmer tomorrow so I suspect we will have a flood out back. Oh well. It means the 6 week puppy visit will be indoors.

The dogs did have a serious run upstairs with Dennis. It was my saving grace as I didn't have to dry them yet another time. But boy if it was up to them, let's get soaked.

Here is the gallery.

Happy to See You

Cooper and Spicy arrived. Cooper was happy to see Scruffy and Pepper. It was nice to see the play.

See today's gallery.

They were not the only one playing up a storm as you will see in the gallery.

We are in the midst of the great meltdown. That means mud around here. Oh my dangerous indeed! Well for me. Fun for them.

Spicy loves, loves, loves the puppies. We had one of the sable girls out with Cooper and Spice and although she got out of Cooper's way as he was dancing with excitement, she was not in the least worried about him. Tail up and oh boy this is fun. I just love these pups.

Ella and Cinnamon ate today - small meals throughout the day. Ella has more queasiness. This too shall pass.

Ziggy, Scruffy and Pepper departs tomorrow. Charlie comes for a bath - no play. Murphy arrives and I get to wash 6 pups plus Saffron for the 6 week visit. Oh boy so short blogs tomorrow.

Lots of Play Going On

It's been a day. Coco was in full play mode with Marco and then Marco and Shlomo had an investigation. LOL

The dogs played rather well today. Marco had a bath - you will see it in the gallery as he was matting fiercely with all the play. It was time. Shlomo was here for the day and he also had a bath.

Nala was also here for a bath and play. She's Leti's baby - Spirit's sister and boy they played too. There are a lot of great photos.

For some reason we didn't have Doozie in the gallery even though she was running around like a banshee. Ziggy is in love with Marco and well he thinks Pepper is amazing but she's not sharing his affection and he seems mighty confused by that!  Sometimes we go out to watch and not click and participate. We miss a lot of fun - well clicking it.

Here is the gallery.

Scruffy and Pepper arrived later in the day so no photos of them. We do usually stop clicking in the morning. Then I am grooming and sometimes Dennis or Nathan will click.

Tomorrow Spicy and Cooper arrives. We are so excited.

I want to thank those of you that donated for the baskets. Still in need, if you can believe but so appreciated!

It's been a day and I am late...

Wind, Ice, Cold and Warm

Well warm is relative. It was warm enough for me to click in a sweatshirt until it got windy. LOL

Here is today's gallery.

Shoshi and Leti were busy doing snow angels but its not snow - it's ice. I had Leti so nicely brushed. Will be glad when her hair comes back in. It's a mess since pups but oh she was so great with the puppies. Leti is still truly bonded to Spirit. It's nice.

Today is Dennis birthday. Nathan is picking up Chinese takeout for him. His sister is getting him Tim Hortons's donuts. I am giving him a total day off and that means I am it for pups, dishes, cleaning and everything else he does. He so deserves a day off.

Dogs thought this crunchy white stuff was great. They still ran around without issue. Me, I held on to railings and walked like I couldn't.

Coco and Doozie are having a blast. They love the TV room as so many do as we have blankets, cushions, beds and a bunch of places to get mighty cozy including on the couches.

Ziggy... well he is in love with Marco. We haven't figured it out but where Marco goes soon Ziggy will be. LOL

Brewer - well he thought the squirrels were a magnificent toy to chase. In these conditions, the squirrels are faster.

What a Messy Wet Day Out

Dogs are NOT liking this melting wet. I can't blame them. I am combing and brushing out an insane amount.

Here is a small gallery.

Blog is short as all we are doing is watching tv with Dennis, napping with Nathan and getting brushed out by Darlah. Okay, we are eating, playing too but really it seems as if that is all there is today.

Not Snow: ICE: Video Added Farley and Clarity Watching IPAD

Marco is fascinated with Shoshi. He watches her rub her face in the ice, attempt to do snow angels. She's carrying on Risa's tradition, it seems.

Here is today's gallery.

This white stuff is not snow. It is ice. When you look real close, it's just a thick pile of ice pellets that go crunch when you walk on them. They say rain coming so that means more ice, I suppose.

Nathan went to Globals as he was almost out of dog food and then he headed out to Loblaws. He says our street is bad but the main streets are plowed. But he says pushing a cart on an unplowed parking lots at Loblaws was almost next to impossible. He had fun. He said it was busy too.

Our son broke the ice scraper trying to get the ice off his car. They say freezing rain and ice pellets through till tomorrow night.

The dogs loved it at first and now they are looking forward to playing games in the house. Dennis had them running everywhere inside today and they just LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it.

Got to do what you can so the dogs expel some energy. :-)

Here is the video of Clarity and farley watching the Safi pups on the ipad!

Let the Ice Come

Harlow was out running with the pups. This ice business gave a renewed energy in all of the dogs. Stone was running and chasing like a crazy dawg. Everyone seemed to think it was grand fun. I stood out there clicking my camera getting pelted in the face with ice. It actually hurt but the dogs thought wow this is fun!

See the gallery.

It seems to finally settled down outside. The dogs got mighty wet and I am so tired of grooming. Since Risa I cut down my schedule but weather still gets me doing my own and visitors. I gave myself a bit to recover. I will be resuming. Early next week Marco gets a bath. He plays like he is a kid that has recess all day and can't fit everything in. Thunder plays and plays and eats and would eat all the puppies meals if he could. LOL

Coco and Doozie are doing really well. Doozie was out running and Coco has been hanging out with Roxie as they investigate and find the treats. :-)

With heats over, I was surrounded by dogs all over me last night but Saffron draped my head like a hat. Each time I moved, she moved with me.

TV time is calling.....

Wet Day in Paradise

Harlow says it's another wet day in paradise and that it is.

See today's gallery.

It's raining and raining and raining. Dogs get wet. I comb them out but the whole process is useless - seriously. They still have a ton of fun. We played find the treat, retrieve and well plain cuddling fun.

Coco, Doozie and Amy arrived late so no photos of them in today's gallery.

Tomorrow they say ice rain. We got the important things at the store - chicken, ground beef for the dogs and steak. We can make it till the ice rain stops. LOL

No Gallery Day

I have had to deal with wet and messy so its a no gallery day but here is some photos to get you by.

The DanceDrop the Treat HereDrying TimeMessy BoysWet TimesIt was wet. It was sunny, it was gloomy. All I know is the dogs were disgustingly dirty so I did a lot of brushing. Sun is out now so let it remain.

Trying to figure out when to open the pool. Hmmm end of April? May?

Starting to become back to the land of living - if that makes sense. I didn't want to groom, cut hair - nada but here I am combing and combing. Guess someone is trying to tell me something. heh

Thunder is coming in less than an hour. Oh what fun!!

Rain Go Away

Stormy and SpiritThe dogs played outside and had a blast and then the rain came. Now they sniff at the door and say - I think not. I get that! Supposedly we have rain for an entire week - joy. Oh well, at least I got the pups out a day ago.

Here is the gallery.

I am adjusting to no Risa. Miss her like crazy but I am starting to adjust. Not 100% but getting there. The dogs are too. Think I will always miss her though.

Still looking for donations for baskets at the specialty. I have very little, to be honest. I had so many last time we did a fundraiser. If there is a toy you do not want and never used - or anything dog related or not dog related - we could use your help. I hate to ask but 1 thing from each person would really really help. Thank you to those that have donated. It is so appreciated!

It is rainy days like this that I dream of having a bubble over my yard. If I ever won the lottery - what I could do. To dream...lol

Boy Do They Play

Marco and Tchibo is having a blast but brusha brusha for them. I brush, they get a mess minutes later. Good thing both are quite fine with comb-outs. Tchibo departs tomorrow.

Check out the gallery.

Ziggy just arrived. Amy and Connor arrive tomorrow. Amy and Connor just for tomorrow.

Girls are almost out of heat. I can't wait. It's time....

When we have pups and girls in heat we sleep all over the place. Two nights ago Jon took the boys and they had a boys fest in Jon's room in the basement. It's a huge area with couches, chairs, tv etc They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Last night Nathan took the boys to the guestroom. Jon got the girls in heat. We try to mix it up and make sure everyone has different exposures but when the heats are over, they all come back to us unless Jon steals a dog or two as he most often does. Stormy can't wait to go downstairs. Hmmm wonder what treats Jon is giving them. LOL

Sunning

We had a fun day sunning and hanging outside. As the human who does this blog was out for a bit of the day, the blog will be short.

Here is today's gallery.

Dogs had fun. They continue to have fun. Girls are almost out of heat.

They love TV time. something about couches, beds, blankets - comfort times and snuggles. Have to get to it soon - me too!

Yes Fun Times

This is Marco and Harlow. Harlow has never visited before. She came in a bit unsure and then she relaxed and played. It was wonderful to see. What a fun dog indeed. Koko also came for a day visit and this was Koko's 2nd time. Koko was already familar and got into it quickly. It was truly fun to watch.

See the gallery.

Tchibo arrived and we had Marco out to say hello. As soon as his humans departed, Tchibo and Marco played. Everyone played REALLY well and some even sunbaked. I thought it was cool but the dogs were loving the sun.

Murphy had a bath tonight as she is going home tomorrow after Sherry and I go out. So, I took the opportunity to click some photos quickly. I hope you enjoy!

Girls are almost out of heat. I may celebrate.

In 2 weeks we will have a 6 week visit with Saffron's pups and on Ella and Cinnamon's blog I placed up a pregnancy calendar.

Looking forward to going out tomorrow.

Priceless Face

This is Marco looking at the pups as if they lost their mind. So funny. Marco arrived today and is doing really well. He's playing and playing or posing for the camera - seriously he poses for the camera. Love it!

Here is today's gallery.

Benji is here for overnight. Shoshi finally got a much needed bath.

Tomorrow Koko for the day, Tchibo, Logan and Panda come. It is Lynda's brthday on Sunday. Know she doesn't feel like celebrating but her family is making sure she has distractions. I am ever so glad. I know about needing distractions. I will get Logan and Panda bathed tomorrow so they head home clean on Monday. Monday Sherry and I finally go out. I need a distraction too. This too shall pass.

Dogs have literally been having a blast and I mean a blast. Usually I have a gate across teh stairs so the gang can't go upstairs but I forgot so everyone was running all over the place. Benji was the last to come down.

I am not sure about you but Nathan clean outside so many times a day. I was doing photos and was seeing what I thought was output on the deck. I was ready to chastise Nathan. So, I head outside and its a bloody leaf. Shows you where my silly mind is. Now if I could only get the leaves from sticking in their hair so it litters my floor, I may be smiling. Then I do smile and go - that's a sign of the dogs having fun. So teh floor gets leaf decor. hahahaha

Oh the Fun of It

Tenshi, Bonnie, Murphy plus the crew had a blast. I wish I had a full day with them but we were at the vets with Ella. See her blog. See Cinnamon's blog too. Cinnamon has a brand new blog.

Here is today's gallery.

Dennis is so great with the dogs. I am glad he clicked some of the photos today. I clicked some too.

We had a long howling fun session to the vets for an hour and 15 minutes. Nathan gets to do it by himself tomorrow. We actually took Stone in one crate and Truffie in another and Ella on my lap so Dennis had some sanity but I heard Kat howled so he wasn't missing anything. I will be glad when the heat business is over.

By the time we got back the dogs played so hard they were exhausted.

I have to say Bonnie is quite the character. Tenshi just loved her and well I get that as she is quite the character as well. The way they play is a riot!

Tonight Saffron was going out and Murphy goes running outside with her. She was jumping and playing with Safi and I smiled and said wow they are still so close - how nice!
