Finally Cold BRR

This is Ty and Willow. One would think that I must be crazy celebrating cold but no snowballs. Look at Willow. She's not a complete miserable mess as she was with snowballs.

It may be cold but the dogs are much happier. 

We now have our dishwasher electrical plug installed and have to wait for Meile to come back to run the water lines. They are literally ignoring us. While the electrician was here he ran our hall plug to my grooming room so I no longer have an extension cord out in the hall to groom. He also is running an electrical line dedicated to the server. I do not want to see this bill but Nathan is negotiating. LOL This is an electrician we use exclusively. He does amazing work but safe - not cheap, if you know what I mean.

Dogs are liking indoors more than out due to cold. But they are having a blast running with Dennis in the halls. So glad I got Dennis to expel their energy and they are so lucky to have his craziness in their lives. The dogs love it!

Finally Cold Enough

This is Fudge and Charlotte. They had a wonderful blast these past few days and now Fudge has departed for home ready to catch up some needed shut-eye after a full morning of play. He was just settling down for a nap when his Daddy and human sister arrived.

Interesting enough, Charlotte's packmate Jamie loves the cool of being near the back door and sleeping. We put a bed there and he chooses the floor. We put a fluffy blanket, he chooses the floor. He so loves the cool.

Mickey arrived today. He is Stone's brother. Ty (his bday today?), Polo and Harlow is here and having fun each in their own way. 

No more snowballs for any of them and they are celebrating.

Nathan washed a puppy even though he so sincerely tried to get out of it. I will remind him on his day off it doesn't matter that it is your day off. Can't wait to try that out for size. 

The  dishwasher is arriving today between now and 6pm. We waited 6 weeks and years of a broken one to have this happen. I do not get excited by appliances but Nathan should. He so HATES dishes and tonight he gets to try it out with the dog dishes after feeding. That works! Wish we could have afforded the more expensive version but a working one is better than a non-working one, I say. 

Me, I am going to cuddle with a dog or two as my blogs are done and it is my day off so I have to try to get out of doing things that they keep trying to get me to do. LOL

UPDATE: No dishwasher installed. Says our wires are stripped and the parts he needs he used already so get an electrician out to put in a plug and then we will reschedule you to the 1st opening. Huh? Really?

What Did You Say?

Charlotte says - what the hey is this snow about? The snowballs stuck on them is unreal. Isn't Charlotte just adorable? She is getting used to me combing her out daily. 

Maui just left and I will tell you, he is a crazy dawg! Dennis shovels paths and he says - nah let's jump in the snow 15 min before humans pick me up so they can wait till my snowballs are taken out and dried. Good old Maui. He so makes me laugh. Polo also is the same. Dennis has been helping me take snowballs out and he goes - THAT'S IT - no more outdoors. I can't do this. I so laugh. Till he started helping me, he didn't realize how bad it is. I need warm hair blowers. Think I am actually going to dig out my high velocity dryer to see if I can blow out the moisture out of them. We shall see.

They are having fun. It's just Dennis and I that are not. You can only groom so much and it has been continual. Will it get colder, please? This way the snow will not stick to them.

Ms Mia departed too and she was upset as she likes a spot that she likes and no where else to sleep at night. I laugh as we are creatures of habit. 

Oh well fun for dawgs...

Now to cut this short as we have another puppy departing. 

Crazy Day

Vivi is amazing how she can walk on her 2 back feet over and over all over the place. She is so agile!

This will be a short blog as I am still getting things ready for pups to depart tomorrow. I simply had a lot of grooming, so I am behind.

The dogs have had a lot of fun. Opus, Mia and Maui depart tomorrow. We have pups departing at a similar time. Who planned that? LOL

Oh well, we will get through it. 

Snowballs are Evil

I titled this blog appropriately. Dennis is now helping to remove snowballs on dogs. He has shovelled paths but dogs like Maui insist on jumping off the baths and come in full of snowballs. It's a full time job and I have puppy stuff to do so all I can do is laugh. Better than crying. LOL

Dogs are having fun. Fudge is certainly a ball of fun.

Everyone and I mean everyone is having a blast. Short blog tonight as I have to do puppy stuff before they depart. Much to do!

That Snow

Yes, there is snow out there. Not as much as they said we were going to get but it now has become more solid so poor dogs like Charlotte aren't filled with snowballs. She is looking at me cross-eyed till this afternoon when the snowballs stopped clinging to her. Jamie thinks he is meant to live outdoors. He comes in and 5 minutes later he wants out again. No squirrels now nor rabbits so he's not going crazy to find them. I guess he knows they are not here or settled down into their burrow staying dry. 

As this is Dennis day off and he has a serious case of vertigo, I am juggling. Nathan's day off is tomorrow.

I have much to do before pups go home on Sunday.

The pups did have their first snow date so I will link to that in their blogs.

Dogs are not running like banshees outside but they are exploring many times a day. They are having fun though the grooming combouts some look at me cross-eyed.

It's a Snow Day

Ellie headed home today after a visit this week. I had to brush her a couple of times and dry her before she was picked up as she was a little monkey loving up the snow.

I had a whirlwind grooming session this afternoon but in the morning everyone wanted their dogs done by noon due to the storm. I actually finished at 245 and I started at 730am. It is what it is. I went as fast as I could. 

The rest of the dogs had combouts but were not happy and rolled after I combed them out getting themselvse saturated. I give up. 

It is Dennis day off tomorrow - Nathan's on Friday and I have bags to get ready for Sunday. How many hours in a day? LOL

Will it snow all night? If so, who will shovel the paths with Dennis being off? oh oh....

Snow is coming, they say!!

I had an extremely busy day today. Tomorrow is crazy too. So, bear with me. 

Mr. Ollie, Bailey, Rusty and Luna departed. Tomorrow Buddy will depart and a number will come for grooming if the weather allows.

I have a TON to do before pups depart. 

Dogs had a ton of fun! Me, I have blogs and well someone to shave down. :-)

Snow Run

The dogs love the snow but its wet so they are getting snowballs. Not fun but we deal.

They say more snow come Wednesday and Thursday. 

Brewer went out and decided playing indoors was better. He had snowballs up his legs.

Tomorrow we have quite a few departing - believe 5. Lots of grooming as I do comb-outs on the rest. 

Ms Bailey has been with us for awhile and she goes tomorrow. I did another cut down and tomorrow she will get a bath and finish. We really got used to her being here. She is so loving!

That is it today. I have to get some more snow off dogs, I am told. So - till tomorrow!

Sunday and Snow

This is Maury and Opus out on the pool cover. Maury is here for a play day and well, he is making the most of it. Wild, crazy play and fun is the name of the game.

Snow has just begun and they say a huge storm is on the way. Here is hoping.

Bailey goes home on Tuesday after having a grand time with us. Mr. Ollie has arrived and is playing.

Mr. Levon and Trigger arrived and are heading outside with Dennis. If he takes more photos, they will be in the gallery tomorrow. 

Mr. Tchibo just departed and he is missed. It's been awhile. 

It's my day off so I am just not grooming so if they look like a motley mess, you know why. We all need a break every now and then.

Play and Play

We had a number of dogs depart today. More tomorrow. We had Ella at the vet as she was bleeding so we thought maybe pyo, that is rather significant. You can lose a dog to pyo. We are not sure what it is but after much $$ and xrays etc, we figure she may be in a split heat. She is on antibiotics. We need to watch her closely but she ate tonight. 

Had a friend die recently. Have another one that is terminal. She celebrated being able to sit up on her own today. Another is fighting a battle with cancer - round 3. My knee is screaming today and well there is more but you don't want to know more. I told you the easy stuff relatively so. This too shall pass.

Plus one of our dog family - a family I genuinely love has covid and well, I am worried about them. But their dog is having a glorious time. So they can concentrate on themselves and smile when they see their baby playing like a play monkey. 

All and all the dogs bring us smiles. They play dance. They french kiss you when you least expect it when laughing. Had that happen today - yikes. I know close my mouth. That was Misty cause she can't help herself. She is the same dog that comes up to me at 2am wagging her tail so hard with a toy in her mouth batting me to ask me to play. That gal and Cinnamon has the play in them. They are happy happy dogs always. We all need that, don't you think?

Last night, when I got out of bed for my bathroom break, the dogs must have moved real fast before I got back in bed to take my spot. Were they telling me something? All I could do is laugh and try to push them out of the way to make room for me. I must admit, I was still scrunched up. Am I a fool or do I simply love the dogs that much. Maybe a little of both.

That's my craziness for the day. The dawgs are having fun and now I must go hang out with them as Nathan needs to bring Katie home.

Imagine this - no rain today. LOL Skies are dark as if it will snow but it isn't.

Opus arrived. Magic got cleaned up for Chinese New Year! Happy New Year 兔 you to all who celebrate!

Ms. Bailey departed this morning. Harlowe gal departs tonight. Tomorrow we have family visits for the pups.

The dogs do not mind going out today as it is not wet. It may feel cool but not terribly so.

Some are napping with Nathan as I type. Some dogs want to nap daily with him. Some like to nap with him on occcasion. He has more takers, it seems when it is raining. What is that about?

Freezing Rain

This is Lachlan, a Misty Baby and he has her personality. He is a happy, happy boy no matter what you are doing. Bath time - no problem. Blow dry, no problem. He loves to play and so does Misty. His happiness is infectious!

We had a couple of cancellations due to the freezing rain but mostly everyone came and maybe we will have departures and maybe not. That's okay too. I prefer everyone stays safe.

It is Nathan's day off tomorrow. 

Bailey is playing like crazy and so is Ellie. Logan and Panda have their places for tv watch time. Lexi is groomed and awaiting a late pickup. 

I can hear the rain pelting down - rain ice. I am so glad the dogs have all been trained to use pads. When it is miserable like this, 

We are inside staying dry. The dogs have had dinner. They surely get excited for that - all of them. 

Again Not Many

There is not much in them as Nathan took photos. Gad I love the guy but he believes in the less not more sort of a thing.

Dogs did have a good time running with Dennis inside. We will not take a chance with the ice to do that outside. 

As we were busy, they had a day off from a comb out. They were happy. Tomorrow we start in again and hope teh weather cooperates.

Everyone had greenies today. A few days ago they had dental bones from the vets. 

I was making nachos for a quick lunch and as I was clumsy and spilt some bacon and cheese, guess which dogs came running? You tell me.

Not Many Today

The gallery is a bit sparse as it's been raining yet again and its really a mess out there. Dogs do not want to venture off the deck.

It is also Dennis day off so I pickup his load that he carries. I am doing the puppy visits, baths, dry, the pad changing, the dishes, the water and I guess taking video and photos too. LOL 

I will most likely stay up till 11pmish to do the pen cleanup, the play session before bed and well the normal things I do such as dishes, coffee the night before and well I don't want to think about it. 

Bailey and her sister Charlotte indeed remember each other and are playing from morning till night. Jamie saw a squirrell 2 days ago and he's still looking for it. 

Buddy's human had heart surgery so we are hoping he is well.Siapoa and Dimsum are well way comfie and like to sit with Dennis when he is playing a game. He is doing so today. Lexi gets into the thick of things with anyone who engages with her and there are many.

It has been a great day despite my busy day. Nathan did take quite a few to bed for nap time. Truffie is in the photo on this blog. That's it

Inside or Outside

Dogs find it cold outside. Melted snow is now ice everywhere.

They enjoy heated blankets when they come in. Yeah, we do that too. LOL

Tomorrow I get to do 2 moms, 7 pups 3 visitors so blogs may be scarce. Wednesday vet visit so another day busy. 

So bear with me.

Dogs are all having fun. Today though, they are cuddled in with Nathan. Some actually watch the TV and some do not. It is interesting to see who does. 

Comfort

Sometimes you are comfortable where you are comfortable and this happens to be our tv stand. LOL

Maury is here visiting his canine mom, Spirit and us. He is having a total blast but now he is napping with Nathan along with Harlow and a bunch of others keeping him warm, I imagine. I am sitting typing away feeling cold. Nathan reduced the inside temp and I feel like I need a jacket. Something about mumbling about the gas bill. LOL 

That's okay. Soon I have to bathe and trim Maury and he will be in my grooming area with dryers going and it will feel warm. 

I am going to have to buy blankets as they go on sale. The dogs really don't but I do or I need to gain some hair all over. Right....become a dawg!

Still Snow But Not Much
