The dogs had a wonderful time in that white stuff. I had a full day of grooming. Ruth, Katie is in the gallery jumping on Stone. Sorry - best I can do with what I have on my plate.

Mr. Ollie arrived and already is playing the Casanova part. He turns 3 this Saturday.

Noah and Zoe - its been a long time but they fit right in like a glove. I guess they remember this place. Pepper, Coco and Rocky was here for the day.  Teddy, Leo, Charlie and Murphy boy arrives tomorrow. It will be a fun house!

Why is this a short blog? I have 2 moms to wash tonight, blogs to finish and tomorrow 11 pups to wash and each pups between photos, baths, dry, nails, pads take about 20 minutes each. I was going to do moms tomorrow too but really no time. So, tonight is the night. On Saturday I will be washing before, between and after. I must be plain nuts.

Cold But Having Fun

Momma says does Gucci play and have a good time - teh answer is YES = look at that smile.

It was a full day of grooming for me and the same all the way through the puppy visits. I can't wait to see fluffy puppies on Friday.

It was cool again outside. We had a dusting. It is better than rain. We threw a bunch of blankets in the tv room. They adore the soft blankets to cuddle with much like us humans. We do the same at bedtime. Do not tell me they do not like extra soft blankets. They do.

So what are you watching that is interesting? We can't watch anything without dogs in it, The dogs bark back. LOL

Frigid Cold

Well, it feels frigid cold - don't you think? It wanted to snow but other than a few flakes in the air, it did not.

Does it look like Dennis got most of the leaves? Never had leaves fall so late.

Corey and Chiclet departed. Ms Coco maltese was here and a character. Nathan took her for a nap and she kept barking him awake. Guess that nap was not meant to be. It happens.

Mr. Shlomo is here as the family had a death. I am ever so sad for them. Shlomo is having fun.

I caught up on laundry. Now that was an amazing feat. It only ended up being 12 loads between yesterday and today. Dennis and Nathan kept bringing and I kept looking cross-eyed at them.

The dogs appear to like the cold - humans not so much but Nathan or Dennis goes out with them. I do too but mostly I am grooming or blogging or doing pups so that is my excuse not to freeze.

TV time is still the best after a cold brisk air surrounding you. I almost want to say - hot chocolate guys but of course they can't have any and I am just being funny and wanting them to be warm. I did heat up some chicken broth for them with fresh chicken - yum! Anything for the dogs...

Change of Weather

Rain then wet then dry then cold. Stupid weather people had me cancelling appts as I was afraid people would be driving on roads like we had last night. We went to drop off presents at the daughters last night. It was great to see everyone! The roads were slick.

Last night I was extremely tired and didn't pay attention to the condition of the dogs after their 930ish outside. It seems when we all woke up the beds were blacker than black. I have been washing blankets and dog beds all day. I still have about 5 more loads as we also had Nathan's clothes - silly day to do them and puppy stuff. I so hate laundry but can you imagine if I had to go to a laundry place to do them? 

Dogs were back out looking rather messy after outdoors so I have been doing feet - each dog. I am tired but the dogs had fun. They always have fun. Dennis is making dinner - a new dish. He keeps asking me to look at something or other to see if it is done. I hope it is good. Dogs do not seem tired. Hmm maybe I need them to learn to groom. So laughing.

Here is the gallery. It's a very small gallery but Dennis is immersed in a game so I am not sure I will get many more but if I do, I will add them in and note it here.

Noah and Zoe has not been here for a long time and well they came in, ran upstairs - hey Nathan is it nap time? They went outside. They greeted everyone and they were very happy. One thing that is wonderful is you can have a number of visitors and they all get along. Sure they want their spots and know the routine and love the find the treat games and may be competitive but they all get along. Dennis even puts chairs on each side of him while playing a game so dogs can sit with him.

He now knows he can't play a game with a dog barking. The dogs will bark back. So laughing!

Short Blogging Tonight

Thank you goes out to Sherry and Dorothy for the starter mousse. It has always been so hard to come by the last year.

Teddy had visitors and it looks like he may be departing tomorrow. 

We have a family event at the daughters and we have to drop off funny saying mugs (1 above) that I made for everyone and deliver ski equipment that is on our basement so... timing may not work out tomorrow. We shall see. Teddy is a really nice dog so no rush for him to move on but he is getting attached to especially Nathan. 

Mr. Brewer departs tonight. We will miss him. He has played a ton. Noah and Zoe are arriving, We look forward to it.

What a Fun Day

Dennis was continuing to do leaves till it got too dark too early. The dogs tried to minimize his progress every chance they got. It was almost a riot!

We are short blogging tonight but everyone had fun.

I am going to watch a new show The Wheel of Time.

What a Day

The dogs were in their element. As you can see Brewer loves the tackle play. LOL Ripley, Bonham and all the rest playing and playing today. I could go on and on. This is our anniversary and well the dogs gave us the best present - just watching them enjoy.

Ms Daisy, Bonham and Ripley depart today and Ms. Coco and Winston arrived. Hate when they go happy to see them excited to see their humans.

We are back on the hunt for Starter Mousse. It's on short supply again. Somehow I have to make it to Scarborough as they are the closest that has stock at Rens. They won't ship. tsk Spirit is being difficult as she always is at this stage and the pups enjoy theirs too. We managed to get some cans at Aurora but not enough. Nathan also picked me up a clipper as one of mine died. I know it's for work but still working with just 1 has been difficult. He also went and bought a lobster roll for both of us. Wonderful dinner.

Thank you to Magic's mom for delivering a cheese cake. Wonderful. I may have a gin and tonic tonight. Dennis got up extra early to help us for our day. He's bringing the pups upstairs now so I can finish the blog.

It was not a typical anniversary. But the dogs - well visitors and all are wonderful!

I also did get out and stopped at the Dollar Tree in Aurora while Dennis held down the fort. Terrible Dollar Tree unlike the one in Woodbridge. A lady heading out just before me took her hand and licked it then rubbed it all over the handle on the door. Still do not know why but I used the handicap button with my elbow and departed. How strange is that? I think this was my 1st outdoors in a long time and Rens had no one in it and Dollar Tree had 2 cashiers and 2 other people. It was a treat but now I want to go to Woodbridge. LOL

630 and done with the blogs - can you believe? Saturday someone is visiting Teddy as a potential family.

Cold Play

We had a full day but a too busy one. Tomorrow Daisy goes home. It may be a short day as we will be busy and it's the anniversary. Hopefully some downtime occurs. We shall see.

Dogs have been full out playing. It's a great crew. Jersey gal seems to be all over Sage and Misty. It is fun to see. Brewer has taken over his spot in the tv room. It's like home week. :-)

We have another dental clinic coming ip. If interested, send me mail as we have a limited amount of spaces.

January 17^th will be teeth cleaning day.

It is $230.00 including tax. Cash please as we pay her cash for all the dogs before she leaves. She also appreciates a tip, if you can do do but that is optional.

I am in the midst of making holiday gifts and it takes time to design so I must make the blogs short so I can at least do some designing. That's the 1st stage. I only got 1 out of 14 to do. LOL So bear with me with short blogs. Our anniversary is also Thursday and I said to Nathan, what are we eating on Thursday. He said glad one of us remembered. I do not know who does take out that is good. I guess that's on me. It's okay - I am creating presents. Who has time to eat - or drive and get me Purdys cherry cordials and/or get food court food.

Well got to get to this blogs for puppies and start being creative.

Dogs enjoyed no snowballs and so did Dennis.

PS: Jersey was fine with Shlomo. Not afraid in the least but he likes to flatten her.

Ms Daisy seems to enjoy watching the wee ones. She stares and stares at them. The adults can't play with them yet but they look through the xpen at them and sometimes gives them kisses. It's a riot.

Mr. Shlomo loves the cold and the play outside.

We had a very full day and no snowballs but can I swat Dorothy fir saying they will be back.

Wet Snowballs Yikes

Here is Rebel a bloody mess due to the wet snow. I was grooming today and after the 3rd time of Dennis removing snowballs, he says they can go on the pads. They are NOT going out anymore. After all day of it, he had it. Now he knows what I go through. Not sure why Nathan wasn't helping but Dennis was overwhelmed. When I say snowballs, they were packed on them so they couldn't move. Fool me once, fool me twice but 3 times? Even dogs with short hair had them. I was nonstop grooming dogs departing so maybe I was lucky? Even daisy with mighty short hair had snow balls all over. Can summer arrive?

Happy Hannukah to those that celebrate.

Well, as you can see, the dogs really had fun but at Dennis expense. Anything for the dogs. I am hoping it dips to really cold so no more snowballs before bed. I think Shlomo doubled his weight with snowballs - Rebel too. Those that play pay in this weather.

Enough of this complaint snowball craziness. Opus, Diamind, Vivi, Thunder, Logan, Panda and Bailey departs today. Harlow arrived today. Shlomo arrived today. 

Tomorrow Pingo departs and you don't want to know about his hair. We will get him gorgeous if its snowball tomorrow and he will play indoors.

We also had a very busy day as you will learn in the puppy blogs. 

PS: Teddy the rescue did not have snow stick to him. He played and I do not know why. He must have magical hair. LOL

Vow

I vowed I wouldn't be so late today.

Nathan delivered Wally the rescue. He said the mall on the 400 was jam packed. As the rental is so far up for both of us and you have to pull yourself in, he has bruises up his arm.

I washed and did pads, nails, face but letting Katie grow a bit. You will see her in the gallery, Ruth. May shape her up early next week. My grooming schedule is full, at the moment. It can wait.

Everyone is dealing with wetness and getting dirty so I have a lot more time in combouts. We also have pups that need several play sessions now.

The dogs are doing great. I want to get to bed in time. We shall see if Dennis finishes setup upstairs. It's not looking promising. LOL

I will be adding the gallery in a bit and a photos.

We are awaiting Bailey's arrival. I am also waiting for the pups next feeding so they can eat then play.

I think I would like to have a nap. It's that sort of a day and a number of dogs went upstairs to chill and nap themselves with Nathan.

the dogs seem to like no rain and cold. I want summer. Is winter one of your faves?

Way Behind

I am way behind today. We picked up another rescue called Wally today and he is heading to Tracy and Paula's house tomorrow. Our old van is well old and our mechanic for life retired. When checking out our van with a mechanic we didn't know, well they want more than the van is worth. So, we were hunting down a used van as with dogs you need a semi used van. Vans have gone up high in costs and we have a gas line to put under, a new chlorinator, windows, eaves troughs etc  and that's only a few things we must get done so used it is and the color we don't want but low in mileage. With used and private sales - well scary to me but this is a friend of Nathan's best friend a few dings and a colour we hate but better than what we have. Never going to find another mechanic like Pat at Autogenics.

Someone asked what we are doing for the holidays. I said dogs. We are skipping the holidays and trying to save up for things we must have done. Praying people don't cancel and more book. Our puppy people bring us great gifts - a bottle of Hendricks, wine, chocolate- nice as they make our days. Last year when everyone cancelled someone bought the dogs treats and had them delivered and there was no note in the box. I asked everyone and no one would fess up to it. I still do not know but wish I did.

Then there are people like Dorothy, Ronnie, Sherry, Pippa that have hearts of gold. Ronnie gave me her comb and I said no at 1st but she insisted. I am ever so thankful as I had a lot of dematting and well, the wrong comb can kill your hand when you do as much as I do.

This long oh my gad story is to say at 8am, Nathan has to drive up to Parry Sound to bring the rescue to Tracy. No snow tomorrow - thankful and we had to rent a car. Since covid all car rental places are closed at noon in Saturday and closed on Sunday forcing you to get a rental from Friday to Monday. Cute and we looked up and called every rental place. Nathan didn't get the car he liked nor the colour but its a rental.

Wally will depart tomorrow. His owner was bawling her eyes out. It is so hard doing rescue. He is a great dog - 7 years old, spry - friendly as ever.

The dogs here all received him well even Teddy. We have amazing dogs and well our visitors are pretty amazing. They could choose to scare the hey out of a newcomer but they choose to surround them with love. It can't be better than that so even if you do - oh how will I do that or how am I going to get through that - look at the dogs - the fun - the warmth. We gain as much from them as they gain from us. That is the silver lining of life.

Look at me going on and on. Lots on my mind but the dogs make everything smile worthy and so do special humans.

Dogs had a ton of fun but it was BITING cold today. Did you notice? They didn't seem to but due to a rescue and then a car rental and grooming that was booked - its 920pm doing blogs. Soon cleanup. LOL

It's been wet so we had less time outside - their choice and who can blame them. I am going to wash Katie. I have been combing her but I am waiting till its not so wet as it defeats itself. 

Katie has been here for quite awhile and I am not sure how much longer but Ruth is getting better. 

We had a busy day as we had Teddy the rescue go for his checkup. You can read his blog to see how he is doing.

Thunder, Keke, Opus and Logan and Panda are arriving tomorrow for the weekend. Meadow and Daisy are coming for grooming and play. Tomorrow we pick up another rescue who will be going to Sudbury. We are trying to figure out transportation.

Tonight I have to attempt to setup the puppy room upstairs as they are destined to go there at night in a few days. I will start and Dennis will finish. 

Dogs played well and had fun. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law was here today dripping off Corey and Chiclet. They will be here for 10 days. They are doing well despite human mom thinking they wouldn't. Chiclet is on nathan's head and Corey was sitting with Dennis till he went to bed and now he's laying up in the top of the couch with Nathan in the tv room.

I need to get moving. I have videos to upload and a room to do. I hope I do a good job fast. LOL

Nathan sits outside with his toque on, a jacket and enjoys the dogs. Better him than me. I hate cold. I will go out when something fun is going on and I have the time but bring that summer back!

Who Plays

In reality there isn't a single dog that doesn't play here. Eventually they do as this house is - well a safe and fun place. I am glad we can give that to the dogs.

Harlow and Oakley was caught playing as you will see above. Oakley departed today and Ms. Harlow departs tomorrow night. Pablo comes tomorrow overnight. Pablo is one of the party hearty boys. Coco the Maltese comes for the day and Benji and Tia depart. Tia is a senior and sometimes she finds the play too much and then suddenly she plays. It's on her terms. LOL Benjamin as you will see in all the galleries thinks everyone is his best pal and even thinks he will get away with stealing Roxie's food. Pingo get combed and looks like a ragamuffin from all the play minutes later much like Rebel. I could go on but each plays and enjoys but afte the day of activity winds down, tv time is enjoyed and Nathan is often found crushed on the reclining couch trying to see the tv. I could go on but will keep that for another day.

We have another rescue coming in on Friday sobetween all the interest in Teddy and arranging a new one and my usual, I am sadly behind.

Archie departed today. Kally goes tonight. Leo has been hanging out and enjoying. Oakley departs tomorrow and so does Amy, Leo and Winston. Teffy has been in the midst of everyone - no issue.

TV and Outdoors

Louis came over with his owners. I couldn't go out but for a minute as I had so many to groom. But it looked like all was having fun. You will see some photos, at my insistence in the gallery.

We have a full house but a fun one this week. We had 2 cancellations over the holidays but already 2 new are booked replacing those that cancelled. We still have some spots so if you are going away... your dogs need a holiday too.

Barney was here today plus Ellie and Leo has joined us. Tenshi departs tonight. We will miss her but her mom and dad need her in Montreal and I get that!

Coach and Sassy also arrived. They are from Wasabi's first litter.

Dennis made me good quality hotdogs and scrambled eggs. It was delish. He only microwaves so for him to cook was great. He knew I was extra busy today. A wonderful surprise and no he doesn't read the blogs. He is now sleeping till 10 and then I get to crawl into bed about 1030ish.
