Mandy's New Family

Here is the family gallery.

They have a very long drive. I think about an hour past Montreal. I sure hope they fared well. I am waiting for email to darlah@potechin.com Hint... send me mail.

These are very lovely humans with hearts of gold so I imagine she eventually fell asleep and soon she will be home to eat.

Here is the gallery before she went home.

I will try to get the videos up tomorrow as our cable for upload seems to be slower than ever and not sure why. Dennis has reported it. I will post here when the videos make it. Apologies!

Enjoy the photos for now!

Mandy's Last Bath

Mandy in bath relaxed.

Blow dry relaxed

After bath - nice and fluffy and so great about the entire experience.

She was absolutely AMAZING. Nothing bothered her.

We have taken her for car rides to make sure the long ride home will be a positive experience.

We are going to miss her. She is such a fun and level headed dog.

She departs tomorrow morning.

Here is the gallery of Nava's new family.

They played their hearts out and Nava and Hallie spooned at the end. It was so cute.

Here is the gallery before she departed.

Videos coming soon. The hosting place that this site is on is having technical issues. Sometimes I can post - sometimes not. Things disappearing then reappearing. I have reported it. So, I am hoping this one shows up. If not, I will persist and you won't know till it shows up. heh

Here are the videos.

Nava's Last Bath Before Home

Nava had her last bath before departing.

Here is the gallery.

She is a real character. She is not crazy over the blow dryer or maybe it is the amount of time it takes to dry. I get that! She's had her nails done, her pads done and she feels wonderful. She had her full checkup and 2nd shots yesterday.

We will miss her!

Look for family photos tomorrow.

Nava Crazy Play

What characters this crew is. Nava was having a great time with Willow.

Here is the gallery.

Nava departs this Friday. She will be 13 weeks and 2 days. We have never had a puppy so late so I hope her transition is a smooth one. She will have her 2nd shots this week and a bath on Thursday. Time to get her ready to depart. She will be missed.

We havr classes with Tempest and Hallie this week on Thursday. It's a busy but fun week!

This week another Cinnamon pup comes for boarding. It will be fun to see his changes.

Puppy Play Session

The puppies love the dusting of snow. They actually enjoy outdoors so much. They fly off this or that and run their fool heads off then come indoors to sleep.

Here is the gallery.

We exercise the play their hearts out equals sleep practice here. They are missing the Maltese. The play was fun to watch.

Pups got soaked. I need to give them baths but I will wait till Thursday when Nava needs hers to depart. Plus they head to class that night. I may do them together other than Nava who needs her photo shoot. We shall see.

Nothing like puppy fun.

One More Week

Nava is here for one more week. She is such a great little one. The pups have really perfected skills. Tempest is still an escape artist in a huge way. They now go out for a huge play session 4 times a day. The last one is just before bed.

Here is the gallery.

Not sure how Nathan does it but I ran with the pups and I was so afraid of stepping on them that I had to go fast and they were still at my feet. I need to learn to run faster. lol

The crew is eating five 1/4c three times a day. Due to all the activity they are eating really well.

Look forward to when we can take Tempest and Hallie to bed with us.

Lull Day

Nathan took the photos today. I was grooming.

He also took Hallie to Global today. Next will be Tempie and then this one. She's back to no name as whomever her humans will be will name her.

The Maltese does play well with the pups now. She will miss the play, I imagine. She departs in 2 days. Her fun will be missed.

Classes begin on Thursday. No photos as Nathan will be on Hallie and I will be on Tempest. On the 8th our vet will be here for the 2nd vaccinations.

Outside Play and News

We got Sophie back. She was barking and her human lives in a condo. It was too stress-filled for her. She is not barking here. I even placed her in an xpen by herself and she fell asleep. Sometimes a blip happens. It is not the usual here. She is over the moon happy to be here. But we are looking for a home for her. She will remain till the right fit comes.

Here is today's gallery.

These 3 are happy to have another to play with.

Today they had a wonderful time outside and became exhausted. There's nothing like pups. They make you laugh. They love to snuggle and well you are the center of their universe and I have that times 4 at the moment!

Now they are heading upstairs to have a blast!

Normalcy

They are back to normalcy now. Yesterday they were in a funk. They were missing the siblings but they are now adjusted.

Here is the gallery.

It is okay for them to have a transition and adapt. It helps them to build their coping skills.

We have had a full day doing what we normally do.

When boarders have departed for the most part, we will start taking them out with the adults. We have already started adding more upstairs. Then after Nava departs, the 2 will come to bed with us. We can't take them to bed now as we do not want to do something that Nava's parents may not want. So, they will have a delay with that experience but it will all come together.

Nava departs on the 10th and we have class on the 9th. This means she will have a few hours without her packmates. Good conditioning.

Changes

The puppies are feeling the loss of the other pups. Raven is also in a funk where Cinnamon and Leti are not. This too shall pass.

The pups are playing. They are not eating as much as they usually do but it is always more difficult for the last vs. the first to go.

I was going to bathe the 3 here and decided not to. I am really not up to par and I didn't want them to have the baths related to being gone soon after. As I said, this is all normal.

Here is today's gallery.

When Nava departs we will have Marley visit.

It takes 24 to 72 hours to adjust to a new normal. Then I will bathe them. They need it but I am combing them so they can wait.

Marley will be excited to be here. The pups and mom will be excited to see him and when his humans come for him, he will be excited to go home. It works that way.

Now to look into classes. That's on Nathan's agenda tomorrow.

Otto's Bath

Otto is a female. She really did well in the bath but surely didn't like me taking a tangle out of her bum. Where did you get that? She's such a love - truly!

Here is her bath gallery.

I did get a fair bit of photos but my camera's battery died. She just stayed in position in the tub without missing a beat.

Ellie's New Family

Better than Boxing Day shopping, I tell you. Nothing like welcoming a Havvie into your life. This girl is such a love. She will be missed by the pack.

Here is the family gallery.

This little girl is going to offer a welcomed distraction to a recent loss that the family has had. Havs are magical. I know I am biased but it is so true. They get us through so much. All you have to do is allow it.

Here is the gallery before she departed.

Also - don't forget....

Check out the videos.

Ellie's Last Bath

She was great in the bath and even being strug up so I could take a photo. I have been having Nathan hold the dogs as he doesn't seen to know my camera. Says it takes blurry pgotos. LOL

Here are her bath photos.

She is such a pretty girl. She will be silver and cream.

I can't believe she is departing tomorrow morning.

When all the pups but 3 are home, we will work on intergrating the pups in with the adults. What a journey they will have.
