Akemi Update

Momma says:

lots of admiration from sharing my photos, one friend's husband was quite taken and wanted to know what kind and where I got her.

I've been singing your praises. Interesting how networking happens.

Oh my goodness...wish you could see this....she has dragged every toy possible into her little bed, including the big one I cleaned up which was Luka's.

Raven and Jeannie

Jeannie and Raven are really enjoying each other today. Here's a gallery of them playing.

New Name

Raven likes snuggles

Talemaker That’s So Raven – call name Raven

She's our dark horse that will certainly surprise us.

-----

The Raven:

The raven's intelligence is possibly its most winning feature. Indeed, these birds can be trained to speak. This speaking ability leads into the legend of ravens being the ultimate oracle.

In fact, the raven is often heard to cackle utterances that sound like "cras, cras." The actual word cras is tomorrow in Latin. This lends more fuel to the legendary fires that distinguish the raven as a bird who can foretell the future, and reveal omens and signs.

Countless cultures point to the raven as a harbinger of powerful secrets. Moreover, the raven is a messenger too, so its business is in both keeping and communicating deep mysteries.

-------

Our Raven is a thinker.

Puppy Updates

I am posting both pups here as Marco has the update in Adele's blog.

Here is the gallery of them playing today.

The pups went to bed with us and one was wrapped up against Nathan's head and one on his chest. I always let Nathan get the pups as it so makes him happy. I like that! They stayed in bed sleeping till about 630am and used the pad then slept for another half hour.

Adele's puppy is a 'ta da' I am here gal. Jeannie's is more reserved but we are working on that.

They have spent most of the day with the adults. We did not take the xpen down yet but my plan is to do so tomorrow. We shall see. I am pacing myself and I do have grooming to do for others and my own. The goal is to not have Jeannie's pup reliant on the safety of the xpen. Small conditioning and exposures that are positive help cultivate their coping skills. We are also working on Adele's pup to get her to think before leaping. If an adult growls at her to say I am sleeping she thinks its a game of play. She needs to learn.

It is so interesting to have 2 so different with their own strengths.

The are also not eating up to par. As fun as they are having, I imagine they miss their siblings. This too shall pass till they visit and then it will be fun times!

Jeannie's pup loves the snuggles and the laying on your neck and lap where Adele's is too busy to relax unless she is very tired.

We are in for a fun ride, it seems.

Hope everyone is enjoying their pups. It is a wonderful adventure experiencing life from their eyes.

Akemi's New Family

Well the last one is now gone. We are busy exposing the 2 that remain to the adults. Plus they are now eating ground beef with their kibble.

It was a quieter get together and poor Akemi's mom could tell I was exhausted. Sorry.... I am exhausted and sad, I suppose. But I am also happy for Akemi and all the rest that departed before her.

Here is Akemi's family gallery.

The photos are delightful as it shows her new mom smiling and happy and well that is what it is about.

Here is a gallery before Akemi departed.

I will update the blogs as photos come. I will also be updating you on the 2 that remain.

PS: Akemi is an expert gate escaper. She will soon be too big to still do that!

I am uploading videos now so look for them soon.

Two Updates: Akemi's Last Bath Before Departure

Akemi did well in the bath. She wasn't crazy about air directly in her face but she said nothing and made faces. I have to admit that Jeannie's pups are real characters as they show their emotion with their expressions.

Here is her bath gallery.

The pups are mighty quiet tonight. They are getting they have baths and they disappear.

Akemi will be the last to depart.

Interesting tidbit, our Katsura who was born here has a sister called Kemi.

Brady Departs

This boy is such a sweetie. I The crew was rather quiet other than trying to initiate play with bark. They are also sleeping a bit more. That's normal as they adjust.

Here is a gallery of Brady's new family. Here is Brady at home. Going to miss this guy.

This is a gallery taken when Brady was departing.

If you check out the videos, you will also see their time before departure.

Two Updates: Brady's Bath

Brady is the 2nd one to depart tomorrow. How was he in the bath? He was great. He has the silkiest hair too!

Here is his gallery.

I do believe Jeannie has the most expressive pups. Just look at the gallery. They never complain but they give you that look that says they are so unimpressed. I think Gizmo started it. Brady is continuing those precious looks.

Gizmo's New Family

Sorry we are so late. I will explain on the main blog. Here is the gallery before Gizmo departed.

It was an event filled departure but we all laughed and got through it and the pups had a blast.

This boy is ever so gentle and a total sweetheart. He will be missed!Gizmo in his new home!

Hope his family was excited to see him when he got home. I know the kids will adore him!

Be sure to check out the videos to see his video before he departed.

Gizmo's Bath

Gizmo had his bath in preparation for his departure tomorrow. He was a star in the bath. He was a star with the dryer. He didn't complain but his body tells me he didn't like being strung up in the air for baths. The majority feel that way. It's not my fave thing to do but it gets you bath photos. :-)

Here is his bath photos.

I love this guy's personality. He is a laid back cutie. He will be missed truly!

Updates are early as we have class tonight and appliance deliver to get ready for when pups are going home and oh oh Nathan's foot is infected again so first thing he is off to the podiatrist. Can it get any busier? All my luck the appliance guys will be here when the pups are getting picked up. We may be doing this in the hall. hahahaha

Here is the gallery of them playing - last time as 8 before departure. I will try to get video and photos of them when the pup departs today.
