Fun Times

I am usually on camera but I do play with the pups - perhaps more than most. The pups had a blast upstairs trying to eat my nose and hair. This crew all have teeth now.

Blogs are short today without individual galleries. See Leti's blog to see why.

Videos will be uploaded soon.

Upstairs and Sizes

You have to laugh to see the size differences. Leti and Raven have a slower growth curve but eventually they get there. Cinnamon grows fast and then levels off. But if the pups were bullies then the smaller ones would have a difficult time and we could not let them play together.

Here is the gallery of the play of all 14 upstairs.

Cinnamon's pups are rather agile as a whole. Today, the black, white, brown climbed out of the xpen (door was open but there is a significant height to the door way. She then got stuck between the fireplace and xpen. Not 5 weeks yet - yes 5 weeks tomorrow and doing that?

Gallery of the Cinnamon pups only.

As we are out tomorrow night, I may be doing just one gallery of the upstairs play. We will play catch up on Friday.

Be sure to check out their play upstairs and down in the videos.

4 Weeks 5 Days

Oh my the pups have teeth and they have started teething on me. Time to buy them some teething toys.

Here is the gallery.

The crew had their 1st time upstairs playing as part of 14. You should check out the videos.

They are growing up.

4 Weeks 4 Days Old

The pups are eating well. They are indeed ready to come out to play.

Here is the gallery.

Being the oldest, they have had longer to perfect their skills. Some are actually talkitive. They have such waggy, waggy tails.

Be sure to check out the videos.

4 Weeks 3 Days Old

I know it is exciting to see the Cinnamon pups but they are the oldest so what they go through in development, the rest will. By the time your visit arrives, they will be all as one without much difference in play, I imagine.

Here is the gallery.

Pups had new beds in their xpen. They all loved them. The addition of beds is a true hit with moms and pups.

On Tuesday we will start adding water and food in the pen. They will still eat from mom for weeks to come but they will eat less with the addition of food.

4 Weeks 2 Days Plus Eating

Usually I have Nathan helping me with feeding but Dennis put out a starter mousse and most of the pups were eating it. I got it in video, not on the camera as I can't do both. A couple looked like they were not interested but when mom went in to eat it, they went in too and ate. So, all Cinnamon pups have now eaten mousse.

Here is the gallery today.

They are full out playing. May be setting up upstairs in the next couple of days to get them all out together. We shall see.

Be sure to check out the videos.

We shall see how their tummies do tomorrow.

They are truly having a great time now and sleep a good period of time during the day.

4 Weeks 1 dAY oLD

They are full out playing. They are walking pretty solid too - even running and hopping at times. I tried one on Starter Mousse and it wasn't interested. Got to try them as a group in a day or two. Maybe Monday so I get through the weekend.

Here is the gallery.

They are waggy tail silly pups.

Do check out the videos.

4 Weeks Old

Pups are 4 weeks old now. Wow how did that happen?

Here is a gallery.

Many of them are making their way to the pad. I am amazed at how some just trot right over without being placed on.

I can't wait till they are able to play outside of the xpen. Soon....

Pups had their nails done today. When they get stuck nails in blankets - it is time!

Here is the gallery.

Short blogs today. I am a bit under the weather.

2 Days Shy of 4 Weeks

This crew is almost 4 weeks now and I find them delicious. They wag their tails at you and simply get excited. Soon they will try eating. First they will start with water and starter mousse and then ultimately Fromms unsoftened food but there is a transition from wet to softened to dry. We also add things in as we do with our older dogs. Everything happens when their bodies can handle each phase. they usually make a mess of themselves till they understand that standing at the bowl is better than standing in the bowl. It's a laugh and a truly fun stage.

Here is the gallery.

The play has matured as they perfect their skills.

Do watch the videos. We had a lot going on and they are fun.

25 Days Old

Here's looking at you! Now we wag our tails and really get excited to see the humans. I take each puppy - and I mean each and sit in the recliner and cuddle and play with them. They rather like it.This is the way I get them conditioned to how wonderful humans can be. The moms love that I do this!

Here is the gallery.

They have started to play with toys and have full play sessions with each other. They are adorable!

24 Days Old

We are growing up. We actively look to play with the humans when they come in to sit with us. It is so delightful.

Here is the gallery.

Some of us are finding our way to the pad already. If I am not quick enough, I see then sauntering on over to use it. Bravo little ones!

23 Days Old

The pups are getting to that fun, fun stage. They make noises at each other and really enjoy interacting but they do not last. They eat, they play and then sleep again. Soon their time awake will increase.

Here is the gallery.

I didn't get many videos done as I had an extremely busy grooming day. I need to get my own done but maybe after this weather breaks.

3 Weeks 1 Day Old

It's like they are experiencing the great outdoors inside? Cinnamon goes out and brings the leaves and branches inside with her. It's that time of year again. I clean it up over and over.

Pups are now being placed on the pad each time they wake up and each time they finish eating. Some are going right away, some not. This way they get used to the routine and find the pads themselves eventually. It is time consuming but the end result is worth it.

Here is the gallery.

The pups are growing up and each day they are more interactive with each other. It is delightful to hold and cuddle with them. They also enjoy cuddling with each other.

They no longer need a heat lamp on.

3 Weeks Old

Oh the pups arriving at 3 weeks old. Be sure to check out the videos. I tried to get some interesting ones for each.

Here is the gallery.

It is hard to believe we started this journey 3 weeks ago and continued. The pups are starting to get interesting in the way they engage with each other. This is the start of more to come!

20 Days Old

Took some videos with the ipad so you can hear noise and my voice.

When I take them from the ipad I carry it around and try to say something. This way you get a better look and idea of what they are doing.

Here is the gallery.

I have stopped weighing them as they jump out of the scale. I should do a video on that. They always do this at this stage. I would drag down my flat scale but they are all doing well. I will take their weights again when they are older and before you come.

Mister curious.... You will often find this boy looking out, looking beside him. He wants to see what is going on outside his xpen. It is delightful. If I make noises or get face down with him, he gets animated. I so knew he was going to be a character. He makes me laugh. He has such a personality!

Here is the gallery.

I caught Nathan in the xpen with the crew. Check out the video.

18 Days Old

Pups are really trying out their legs now. They are found all over their xpen.

Here is the gallery.

It's amazing how much they change at this point of time. Weight gains have slowed down and that usually happens when they practice walking.

You should check out the videos.

Cinnamon still eats twice as much as Raven and Leti. It makes sense. She was trying to steal their food - Leti's and Raven's but now we give her extra food and she is way happy.

When moms stop feeding, they go back to their normal amount of food.

17 Days Old

In 4 more days they will be 3 weeks old. How can that be? I do not pose them. They get into these positions themselves.

Here is the gallery.

They are so adorable. Sometimes when they get out of the whelping box they have a transition. But they adapted immediately.

16 Days New Digs and Ooops Again

Oops, I did it again, Shall we call you Britney Spears? Just teasing. She climbed out of the whelping box at 15 days old and she did it again at day 16. Today, not a sound. Just a climb out and escape - let's look around. So, out went the whelping box and in a day or two we will add a crate and a pad. They are rather young. This is the earliest we have had a climb out. She is a curious one.

Here is the gallery.

You can also check out the videos.  You can see what no whelping box looks like. Pups were super comfortable. Just looked around and got comfie. Sometimes they do cry as they are unsure of their surroundings. But they get over that quickly. No one cried here.
