One Week Old

Here is the gallery.

Can you believe the pups are one week old? Momma takes care of them so well. This means that these pups are exactly 1 week older than Misty's pups. That means eventually they will be able to be merged with Misty's pups. That will happen in about 4 weeks time.

Here are the videos.

This blog is short as I am still trying to play recovery. Sorry about that.

Almost a Week

Here is the gallery.

Is it now almost a week? How can that be. Best get moving, Misty. LOL

The pups are doing well. Just like a crying baby. the pups make noises to trigger a let down of milk from Sage. It is interesting to watch. As the milk gets let down their tails go up as the milk begins to flow and they fill up.

The pups are doing well.

Videos are always found here.

5 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

The pups are doing wonderful. In order of birth: (B)=birth (N) = Now

1st Born Gal (B) 6-6/8oz 193g (N) 10-4/8oz 298g

2nd Born Boy (B) 6-5/8oz 189g (N) 10-4/8oz 300g

3rd Born Boy (B) 6-6/8oz 255g (N) 10oz 289g

4th Born Gal (B) 6oz 171g (N) 8-4/8oz 242g

5th Born Gal (B) 5-5/8oz 162g (N) 8-2/8oz 234g

As you can see they are all gaining well. The last 2 gals are smaller in body so they may be smaller pups as adults but it is too early to see. We will know usually by 3 weeks you get an idea. They are active. They will tell mom to let down her milk much liek an infant does.

As Misty is in here, Sage is spending time covering them up even though Misty doesn't even go close. This will pass when Misty has her pups. The moms always end up very bonded sharing an experience with each other. I can't believe in 2 days they will be a full week old.

Videos are always found here.

4 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

Pups are doing well. They want for nothing. They are all gaining well. Sage's back milk stations are getting softer so they are less impacted. She remains wonderful though a bit of a nag about duck treats that she acts is an addiction that won't quit.

The videos are uploaded daily as I get to them.

3 Days Old Now

Here is the gallery.

Can you believe they are 3 days old now? They are all gaining nicely. Momma Sage is mighty happy with them - as are we.

The last gal is the smallest so far. The 1st gal is the one gaining the most. They are lively.

In the gallery I weighed them in order of birth.

Be sure to check out the videos.

2 Days Old

Here is the gallery.

The pups are 2 days old now. They are gaining nicely. Sage has an abundance of milk on the back end of the milkstations so the milk flows too easily. This makes the pups not want to eat from it but they have started. As they stop getting so full, more will eat from it. It has already reduced in hardness. So, we may not have to go the antibiotics route. This happens quite a bit actually so it is not a concern and easy to rectify. I am just the type that share it all so you know.

Pups lost the 1st day. They are now heavier than their birth weights. They feel substantial. They are lively and of course beautiful.

Sage is happy and so adores them already! Sage is also eating like a starving dog. I have to laugh and of course she loves the treats - the extras.

The videos are always found here.  I upload them here and there as I find the time.

About 22 Hours Old

Here is the gallery.

Pups are doing well. They are not gaining yet but not losing. This is quite normal as mom's milk fully comes in. They are lively. They like warmth and find them when not eating snuggled up against mom or each other.

Sage is eating exceedingly well.

Videos of the night will be found here.

7 Hours or Less Old

Here is the gallery.

Sage is eating well. She is doting on her pups and napping where she can. I will be taking their weight and hoping I can figure out who is who. LOL Well, the boys are easy. The sable girl is easy. This first weight, it is where I write down any markings etc and look at the photos I posted. It all should be easy. Nathan is asked each pup - defining markings but he doesn't. He genera

Pups Are Here 5

First is a girl born at 1038am with a diamond on back and white chin. It may look black in the photo but this pup is brown and cream. She weighs 6-6/8oz 193g

Second born is a boy at 1043am. Black and White with blaze on chest. He weighs 6-5/8oz 189g

Third born at 1108am and is a boy. He weighs 6-6/8oz 193g. He is a tri with sable on his legs.

4th born is a girl with sable legs. She weighs 6 oz 171g and was born at 11:40am. She is a tri.

5th one is a gal and she was born at 11:50am. She weighs 5-5/8oz 162g and is the smallest of the crew. I believe she is a tri. The tris rule!

All morning deliveries and fast. All are of size and lively. She is a black tri and born at 11:50am. She looks like she may have apricot on the face but needs to dry first to know.

So just a bit and I mean a bit over an hour 5 beauties. Can't get better than that.

As Sage ate before delivery - who knew - she threw up 10 times. Lots of towels to clean but she has now eaten. She is sleeping and very tired. We had a long night of her fussing so I knew. Just thought within 24 hours. Best in morning vs. in the middle of the night.

Dennis needs to sleep to be up all night so that puts a crimp in Nathan's day off.

Gallery and videos coming. I will post them in the next blog.
