6 Week Visit with Nicolette

Nicolette couldn't come during the regular visit as she owns The Good earth Food and Wine Co. Weekends are their busiest times. Check it out.

Maybe one day we should do a luncheon together with the dogs there?

Thank you Nicolette for the gin. Will let you know if it numbs the back and tastes good. Never had the brand. 

Pups were great. I unfortunately had many dogs to groom to depart so I was only there for part of the visit. Apologies.

I weight several of the pups - not all and they were about 2lbs 10 oz or slightly less. This is a great weight for the Leti pups.

Tomorrow I will try to do individual photos and weights.

6 Weeks Old Today

Pups are so incredibly cute! They are 6 weeks old today.

Pups are now playing outdoors several times a day. They are running up and down teh ramps and tomorrow we will try to open both decks for them. 

I updated to IOS 12 so I am having difficulty uploading to youtube. That feature appears to have disappeared. argh.  So no videos tonight - tomorrow when I figure out a work around.

1 Day Short of 6 Weeks

I am told the dogs had a full day. Tomorrow they turn 6 weeks old. We are rather tired so it is a very short blog. Our son Jon turned on the law mower out back and they went running to hide in all directions. I ignored them. They came back out even though it was still running and ignored the noise. If you pick them up and coddle them you validate the reaction. So you ignore and they build their coping skills. They recovered quite fast as you will see on one of the videos.

Almost 6 Week Visit

The visit went well. The pups meandered around. It was fun to watch. Spirit also hung out with Leti. I am sure it was nice for them to see an older Leti pup. No wild childs like Ali in this bunch.

They do not last long at this age. They will last longer at the 8 week visit. We will have the cover on the pool and hopefully some experience with it depending on when they install it. We shall see but that would be fun.

Next week I will do an individual shot of each puppy and describe them. This way if you are talking to me about a particular puppy I understand whom and you can easily tell me what order the puppy is that you are discussing. As this came up during the visit, I was looking for solutions.

The pups have been out twice aince the visit. They will most likely come out again when it cools off. 

Everyone appeared to have enjoyed the visit. I am glad that you did.

Baths Swimming And All That!

Sorry I couldn't do individual photos. My back is still bad and even with support I need to try not aggravate it. We went in the pool and then I washed them all together. I realized they are not even 6 weeks yet and we are doing pool time. It's a tad early but they did well. They were probably trying to figure out what these two wet events were. I combed them out but didn't blow dry them. As it was so hot they had an air dry outside.

5 Weeks 3 Days Old

Today, the pups got to play with Stone, Willow and Spirit. Ali went in for a few seconds and proceeded to play too rough. We have not tried Sky.

I am hoping to get them in the pool tomorrow but if we can't we will try for next week. These pups will be here when we close the pool so they will be able to try walking on the pool cover. That should be fun.

They are now playing outside a few times a day. 

These pups will be 5 weeks 5 days old when they have their 6 week visit. I am sure you are going to love them as much as we do.

5 Weeks 2 Days Old

Spirit got to play with the Leti pups today. She was amazing with them but Leti is still growling to warn them not to hurt her babies.

Outside Wet

Pups were outside today. No rain but it was wet outside after all the rain we received.

Pups are heading back outside with Dennis. They love the adventure.

Friday they get their first bath. Saturday their 6 week visit. Sunday we head back into Ottawa. It is a crazy busy week especially for me. We hope its warm enough to get them in the pool. Hoping for Friday before baths? We shall see.

5 Weeks Old Today

We are 5 weeks old today. Let's see, we have mastered eating kibble. We love chicken. We have a new  play center with hanging toys. We are practicing climbing and running.

Upstairs and Outside

Pups went upstairs without their mom last night. Sure she fed them first, played with them and made them feel comfortable.

They did really well. They even were sleeping at 7am. They had a couple of accidents. But all and all they used the pad and slept. Leti did watch them on the ipad. She was almost obsessive till about 3am and then she settled down. As soon as we got out of bed she was ready to see them.

Today they had some of moms ground beef. Let's hope their bowels stay good. So far they are.
