Sorry short blogs tonight. Dennis crashed and I need to do the things he normally does and get the videos up. I am creashing for whatever reason but I can't.

Here is the gallery.

Pups are doing well. They are highly interested at times at the pups on teh other side. Two more days and they are ay 3 weeks. They also need their nails cut. Maybe tomorrow?

Videos are coming.

18 Days Old

When the littlest boy who is actually on an equal comparison track with the Misty gal walks up to you as you lay in the xpen and wags his tail - let me tell you that your heart melts. He gets so excited to see me now. I wish I could lay in there all day long. No matter what your day is like, that experience makes you forget!

Here is the gallery.

They are all curious and often look at the others through the bars. When they reach 3 weeks old, I am considering placing them all together but that makes feeding difficult. We have done this before where Dennis takes 2 beds side by side and puts each mom in each bed along with their pups. I need to get another bed as our other ones were sad representations of dog beds so all we are left with is one large one. It also has to be washable. But feeding moms that way is short lived as then they start eating food and you do not have to be so concerned with feedings as much as when they are only on mom's milk. But we have 2 more litters coming so...

Be sure to check out the videos.

I can't believe how holding the pups makes your heart skip a beat. They are wonderful to hold.

Here is the gallery.

What is next? They will get better at walking. They will eat softened food. They will play with toys and each other more.

Be sure to check out the videos.

16 Days Old New Digs

When I am blogging, this is how I watch the pens. The pens are in the same room but I can just look and see how everyone is doing while I type away. I can also watch on my phone and on my ipad. Though when I watch tv I can't use the tv version and when I am uploading the videos, I can't see that version.

Here is the gallery.

First thing this morning, Dennis and I took the whelping boxes out. We initially thought just Misty and then we said 3 days later - really? So we did them both.

How did they do? They were actually seamless. No fussing as if they were stressed. They even cozied up against the pen to watch the Misty pups with fascination as we took the blanket down between the pens. Mothers were fine with it as well.

We added toys, beds and tomorrow we will add a pad. The only downside to this is more laundry. LOL

I will be uploading videos as soon as I am done the blogs. It is raining out so the main blog won't have many photos, if any, I am told. LOL

That little one is an amazing walker - the 4th tri boy. He is most likely to be the smallest of the crew if both litters but boy is he an agile scrapper!

15 Days Old

One of the best walkers so far is the last born littlest. You will see it in one of the videos. What a riot. Sometimes I see him walk all across the whelping box.

Here is the gallery.

They all do that drunken walk now but some are better than the others. Wait till they are out of the whelping box.

Each day I hold them many times a day. I always make tine for that. I snuggle them, rub heads, backs and anything they react to positively. The idea is to give them positive connections with humans.

Nathan likes to get involved when they get older and are running the halls. It's mostly Dennis and I but Nathan was in peeking at Sage's today and I caught him on video.

Two Weeks Old

Here is the gallery.

Actually can't believe it is already 2 weeks. Time does so slow and so fast at the same time depending on one's perspective.

My day started out changing blankets, putting on a wash, taking photos, vacuuming debris as moms tend to like to spread their food all over. What is that about?

This crew practices standing up but doesn't interact yet as much as the Misty's pups. They all get to where they need to do but all do it on their own time. Eyes open when they want to. Hearing is there now.

The pups are all doing well.

You can find the videos here when I get them up.

Last Pup Eyes Open

Here is the gallery.

This pup will be on the smaller side. It will be interesting to see him hold his own as I suspect he will. He is a cuddler.

Pups are now 2 weeks old. All eyes are now open. let the fun begin.

13 Days Old 2 Blog Day

Here is the gallery.

As you can see, the Sage pups are trying to get up on their legs to start to get mobile. A couple of the Misty pups are doing the same. After all there is only 3 days apart.

Check out the videos.

Tomorrow they are 2 weeks old. I can't wait till week 3 and 4 when they start eating food, get put together and investiate upstairs. Exciting times are coming!

Eyes Open 3rd

Only 1 remains. It's the last born. This is the 1st born. You take photos of him and he has a different expression each click. He went from eyes shut tight to eyes open wide.

Here is the gallery.

Just one more and we have passed this milestone. On to the next - walking and interacting.

12 Days Old

Each day that goes by, I am in awe at how easy of a litter there is. It probably has a lot to do with a lack of competition where each puppy has 2 milk slots to partake from.

Here is the gallery.

They are lucky in a way. They want for nothing.

The videos can be found here. I am still uploading them.

I wonder who will open their eyes tomorrow. We only have 2 left.
