No Rain THIS Minute

I call this - so it is about to rain so you can't come in. LOL Of course they were let in but I so laughed looking at this.

Lots of dogs are departing today. Lots of grooming. It is the end of the holiday weekend and most are coming back early due to the weather. 

It almost seems quiet here. 3 more depart tonight. I am sure they will all go home and sleep. They have all partied hearty. Though Bella thought lots of blankets very soft on the couch shimmied up to me was the best.

With Nori departing, it is just Cassie and Yoshi of that size. 

Ms Mabel arrived - only arrival today in a sea of departures. She's been playing and playing so much she went for a nap with the old guy that resides here that needs a nap daily.

Otto keeps looking at me as if to say - hey outside couch time human. Who cares if it looks like rain. 

It's a good day - lots of work but great!

Investigations

Coco is a riot. If she sees  bird in the plants in the back, she is on the hunt to figure out where they are going. She never connects. She is just highly curious. 

We went to see Ruth this morning and then I had my couch and veg time with dogs that enjoy that sort of thing at the moment. I fell asleep with them snuggling with me. I had Otto, Saffron, Bella, Astro and Nala. They were mighty content to cuddle and catch some zzzzs. The weather was perfect for that sort if thing. Nathan napped upstairs with the pups and a number of others. Dennis played with the rest. We let it be their choice and it works well that way. Panda and Logan always like their afternoon naps.

They say rain is coming but Dennis is playing the game - do I need to water or not? We have had way too much rain. 

Bria is getting a brushout daily and she well looks mighty interesting. It's that play you know. 

Many depart tomorrow so I will be busy. End of long weekend you know.

Puppy Swim Time Today

We had Misty supervising. Nori, Cassie and Yoshi swimming and Truffie fell in or didn't. I will put up a few videos in a bit. You will see them shortly after the blog is done. They all did well in the pool but strange enough, Cassie didn't jump in today. I guess she learned last visit.

Bella watched from the couch. She adores the couch. She is not the only one. There are some couch hoggers. They want to snuggle but wouldn't mind if I sait on the deck. LOL This is the outside couch.

Last night Astro and Leti competed over who was going to use my body as a pillow. Others draped over my feet and head. It's not just Nathan that has the fun but it makes him feel good when they sleep so close.  LOL I had to mention Astro as Nathan tells her parents she is always all over him till she finds I get up less and make a fine pillow. I am so laughing but she is a great snuggler. 

Dogs had fun. It wasn't so hot. Nathan is making egg rolls. Three for me, please.

Lots of grooming tomorrow. Just a few today. 

Mr. Woodruff dropped in and he is having a blast. So did Daisy! Ms. Bria needs a brushout as she was in the mud of her own making. Get feet wet, walk in dirt and jump on Nathan. 

I could go on and on but I have to eat and make my grooming list for tomorrow. Oh yeah and upload videos.

This is Astro, Katie and Bailey on watch. 

It was Nathan's day off. He spent it visiting Ruth. Dennis and I held down the fort. I actually felt like I needed a nap. 

Lachlan was here for a fluff and go service - yes a grooming.

Cassie doesn't look like Cassie. She has a short do. She came in the door running to play. Yoshi came out to the hall as Cassie is an energy bunny and although Yoshi plays and plays - she likes down time. I think Cassie is totally excited. What is down time?

We have a full house today as it is the long weekend. Several go home tomorrow and the exact amount departing is replaced. I think everyone is going away and I hope they have wonderful weather.

Bailey and Bella's mom is getting married so we hope for wonderful weather. 

It's an exciting weekend for many. We even have Adele and River here. Crossing our fingers and toes for a fab weekend for all.

Oh, and I combed Astro out and just placed her down. She looked at me - how cheap are you. TREAT - did you forget and I had and then handed one to her and then everyone came running. LOL

Two Blog Day

This is Leti and her daughter Ellie. It just so happened that both was here at the same time and yes, they knew each other. 

Lachlan arrived and he is such a player. Tenshi, Coco the Maltese and Leo are alsohere. They bring such fun for the day.

As this is my day off the dogs are in the no brush break for the day and are loving it. LOL

Weather is humid. Dogs go out and want to go back in but hey it is much better than rain that may come tonight. Of course it will as Ronnie, Elana and I will be on a patio eating. Murphy's law.

Coco the maltese is beyond excited to be here. It has been awhile and she is a riot showing how excited she is about being the boss over dogs. She already has mastered us humans.

Nori will be here for a bit longer and well she has really found herself. Yoshi thinks she is the boss but Nori says - do you really think so? 

Thunder thinks I am his person - Leti too. It is funny who chooses whom. Nathan thinks I am stealing them all away from him. He says you must be bribing them. Nope...

Chester has been jumping all over Stone. Best yet Stone allows. Polo - well he's a player. He came in the door excited that he had a party to attend. Otto takes over my couch especially if I am on it. Well, why not?

Oreo was supposed to come but they may be losing someone. We know that experience. 

It's been a day but a truly fun day for the dogs. I have been trying to get Nathan to make the bed after washing the bedding. Think I will be successful or I will come back from dinner doing it myself. We shall see!

Happy 1st

Hi Nathan and Darlah!

Gomez has turned 1 year old today and we are celebrating.  How time flies.  He’s been a wonderful addition to our family. 

Wishing his whole litter a very special birthday.  Sending lots of hugs to all of you.

Hi Nathan and Darlah,

I can’t believe Jimmy turned one today what a fast year this has been.  He is a beautiful little soul inside and out.  He adores his older sister Newt and his best friend Louie my neighbours Bernadoodle.  He is a happy playful little guy who loves to cuddle and is a joy to be around. 
Jimmy wishes all his litter mates a happy birthday and wants you to give a special hug to his mama Willow.
I would like to thank you both for bringing this special little boy into my life.

Play of It Mid Week

This is going to be a very short blog. We got called to come tonight to see Ruth. We had planned Friday. The doctor said no - tonight. So - this is Dennis day off. But we must go.

Dogs had fun. Dogs departed. Some arrived for the day and well fun was had and I had a ton of grooming.

I did Koda and Astro's head 3 times each and still they managed to make it interesting. I so laugh.

Ms Leti is here for a visit too. It is so good to see her. I think her momma is cancer free now. We celebrate!

Ms. Harlow is departing tonight and so is Koda. Mr. Dash already departed and so did Luna and Rusty!

Visit and Home

We went on a visit with Chai and Yoshi for a few hours to Christine. Company was wonderful. Food was great and oh that spectacular garden but we can't forget Christine's doggy duo. Look who is saying, I call this shot - who are you? We truly enjoyed!

I am ever so tired and have a truly full day of grooming tomorrow. It is Dennis day off and Thursday it is mine. I have dinner out with Ronnie and it may be a margarita festival. 

Nori was so excited to see Yoshi return - beyond words. We almost took her but hadn't had the opportunity to ask her mom.

Maury was very spoiled today.  We visited our local dog bakery and picked up some yummy treats and he had a little birthday party with his dog buddies. 
Dear Darlah & Nathan,

Today is Kandoo’s first birthday and we went to the cottage last weekend to celebrate her birthday, here is a few pictures to share with you, also we are celebrating again today in our home tonight and will send more pictures later.

My husband and I couldn’t thank you guys enough for this little puppy, she brought lots of joy and happiness to our lives and we love her to the moon and back , Asal still doesn’t love her but they are so happy together 🤣😉

Exhausted But Fun

These 2 are going to miss each other - Ollie and Opus. Opus departed this afternoon and Ollie I just finished grooming and he departs tonight. I think their personalities are very similar. They so love to play. But so do many others. It's been a riot around here.

Ms Harlow decided Yoshi was a pillow and she laid on top of her. Maybe she thought - take my bed and I will teach you a lesson. It didn't faze Yoshi in the least.

Guess who Tenshi or anyone else was playing with? You maybe can catch it in the gallery. We didn't capture everyone but we did capture some. 

Birthday blog yesterday - another coming today!

I have been doing a lot of grooming so, I miss some. I hate that. I just finished my last one for today. I need to comb out others but all I want to do is snuggle with dogs and fall asleep. I know, pretty pathetic. Dogs or humans won't let me sleep. 

Happy 1st

Happy Happy Birthday Fudge - can’t believe he’s 1 already ! 

Mr Fidgety Fudge stayed true to his name and refused to wear his hat and the only way he stayed still for .0005 seconds was because he was focused on his birthday cookie behind the camera :) 

Fudge is our comfort and our fun, he just loves to play and keeps us on our toes but also snuggles up and warms our hearts ! 

Happy Happy birthday and Thank you Ella for bringing such a joy into this world and thank you Nathan and Darlah for bringing him into ours :) 

Hope his siblings - Maki, Moose, Nika and Hazel are also having a treat-astic day !!!!

Rain Then Cloudiness

I think the dogs are sick of the rain. Me too. But I had 8 dogs to groom - same tomorrow so the 1st time I walked outside was 10 minutes ago. I even ate in my grooming room. Thank you Dennis for making me lunch.

Nathan got his holter off. He complained it stuck to hair so it hurt taking it off. Then he promptly went swimming and then to a shower. He said it was too cloudy but he was determined. 

Lots of dogs depart tomorrow. A number arrive. Everyone gets along and enjoy each other. 

Tuesday we visit a friend - 1st time going to anyone's house since before covid other than Nathan's brothers. 

Dennis said the dogs enjoyed a massive run today. Inside, outside play was grand. Let's hope the coming week is rain free!

Rain and More Rain

We have had mostly an indoor day. Tenshi is wrapped around Nathan's neck and Lola is just above her. It's a rain and more rain day so we have been trying to keep them entertained. Dennis has been known to run them in the halls and they do that gleefully. Ms. Coco said enough to play after she ran with Dennis. She was ready for a nap and a couple of dogs said why till she said, enough so they listened. She was tired as she was the one leading the pack. Everyone got into it though. 

I can't mow the lawn. It literally sinks. I should be happy but really it looks terrible. 

Nes - a puppy is a non stop - play with me Yoshi and barks at her if she decides to lay down so she indulges him. Farleigh, a puppy was here for grooming. What a cutie. He didn't get to play. 

Astro cuts corners on the run game. She sets herself up midstream having done this before and then starts running just before they reach her. What a smartie pants. 

Then we have a few that watch and bark and well they are the ones rah rahing the rest on. 

Everyone is enjoying but we are looking forward to dry weather. Can it come?

Land of No Sleep

I had a bout of food poisoning from salad. Dennis shared the salad with me and his ended in 6 hours or about. I have been sick since afternoon yesterday. I was up all night. I took 6 showers. Now I am going to try to eat something other than saltines. We shall see how that goes. It was supposed to be Nathan's day off today. He will take tomorrow off. Hopefully I am up to grooming tomorrow. Not today.

So, Dennis took photos. Nathan did the dogs and he didn't complain about the holter he is wearing till Sunday or Monday?

Dogs had fun today. I did sit outside in the heat but it didn't feel hot to me. That was okay. Dogs had a big bowl of water filled with huge ice cubes. Some played in it. Why not? The dogs are so intelligent. They know how to have fun and they know how to cool off. 

Now we are feeding - well Dennis is. We all help out. The dogs are so looking forward. They get 100% of Dennis attention. It's funny!

Not That Many

Not that many photos today but bonus Ellie is no longer sinking in the mud. She's had a lot of feet cleanup. LOL Do not think she is getting a full groom so she may need one at home.  That rain has been insane. It arrived last night but not as bad as they were telling us and today in and out sun.

Think Nathan is good. He had a lot of tests due to afib. He made it through the treadmill and all the other tests and he is now wearing a holter for 72 hours and crabbing about it as he can't take a shower. I am so relieved. Yes, of course, as he reminds me, if something is seen on the other tests, that will have to be dealt with but they wouldn't have let him go if it was serious cause they have cardiologist at the center. So - good news, imho!

Dogs are enjoying the overcast and I can't blame them. I thought of swimming but ... 

I am finding - especially the boys are getting knots due to the physical play. I just finished Ollie and could tell the places on his body that they jump, play bite and well be physical all in fun gets mats so I am keeping on top of i

Wild Dogs

Opus looks mighty wild looking here. It is my day off so he gets a repreive from a combout for 1 day.

Nathan is off for his stress test. I am so trying to get him to go get some potato salad from Village Grocer. He got Deli today. He keeps saying sorry wrong way. I want to go get it myself but he doesn't like the car too far away. Maybe he will feel he can or I can after his stress test if it turns out okay.

It is a hot one out there. Dogs do not want to stay out too long. Dennis watered the plants and we are supposed to get a big rainstorm thunderstorm tonight. He should have checked out the weather. We went to the pet pharmacy to replenish Harlow's perscription. Never been. Nathan has. It is an interesting pharmacy. I noted that they have skunk off. I am thankful we do not need it. LOL 

The beans that I thought would never produce anything finally has flowers. Thank you for the seeds! My cukes are flowering too. 

Dogs have really appreciated the air conditioning today. They come and sit with me on the couch and whine to go back indoors. It's rain or high heat. What a lovely summer. 

Off to get my potato skins I am cooking for Dennis and I. Yum - I think. Depends on what kind of a job I did on them.

Brave Ones

This is Astro mighty merssy. Not to worry, she got brushed out later in the day. But I will tell you, I said to Nathan when I placed her on the floor from the table, give her a T-R-E-A-T and yes I spelled it and she came running. Usually I give her the treat one the table but I brushed her out on the table near the back door. She knew exactly what I meant.

It is hot, hot, hot today. Started out with wetness and overcast and got mighty hot. Over the next few days we are under a heat warning. Still, they are calling for chances of showers. Can you believe? The grass is so wet that the dogs kick up the grass and mud when running through it and therefore mighty muddy. 

Dogs are having a blast. My day off is tomorrow. Must do something. Give me ideas of something local. LOL

Am I the Only One?

Am I the only one that is tired of the rain? Yes, rain again off and on all day. For the most part due to heavy rain, they have pent most of it indoors. Even when it stops, I open the door to go out with them and they go - I don't think so. Really, you want me to go out in wet? The grass is so wet it squishes and sinks. Yes, that is one saturated lawn. You can't even mow grass like that. 

That is okay as we  manage to have a great time indoors or out.

Tiny and Marco departed. Ollie arrived. Ollie and Koda is playing in the photo above. Astro is saying do you want to play?

As you can see Dennis has mats down for his VR play. Sometimes he is in such an active game that the dogs think he is playing with them and they move back and forth and jump and play. It makes the game more difficult for Dennis but it's amazingly funny to watch. Dennis figures it makes it more of a challenge and besides he likes that the dogs are playing like they are. 

Personally, I need an August with just sun, please. I never washed so many feet and under carriages as much as this summer.

Still, despite the weather, the dogs are truly enjoying and that is what it is about!

Messy and Rainy

Yes, we have had rain yet again. Is this spring? Boys will be boys. They surely get messy when it rains. It is laughable! But you have to laugh as spring weather it has been most of the summer. rain and more rain.

Lots were washed and departed today. 

I did jump in the pool this morning as they said rain was impending. I didn't take anyone in. Thety played. They got dirty and I kept cleaning.

Oh it is Saturday

This is Chloe who was here for a few hours. What a riot this catch was. This is Lulu's sister that departs tomorrow. Jax departed just a bit ago. We are down to 2 of Paula's pups that will be departing tomorrow morning. It has been a puppy filled weekend.

There has been a LOT of play today. There was also a lot of barking (didn't take photos then) of Nathan jumping in the pool. 

So many depart tomorrow. Will it remain quiet? I doubt it. LOL

The dogs are truly having a magnificent time.
