What to Expect

Willow Pups Individuals

Pups won't be washed till Friday. Tomorrow vaccines, checkups and microchips. This starts - if on time at 1030am. It will be a long visit with 16. I won't be doing a play session gallery tomorrow as Dennis will do that after they nap. He doesn't take photos but I am hoping to have photos of the vet visit. As this is our local vet, I am not sure what she feels comfortable with. Stay tuned.

They do cry at times with the shots and microchips. They can get sore. We have had no soreness to sore on touch for 24 hours. This is why it is slated for tomorrow. If they do get sore they won't be when you visit them. To be honest, I hate when they are sore. More times than not they are not. It depends on if they move while it is occurring.

Upstairs Again Due to Cold

Pups have been playing their hearts out and they are back upstairs once again as I type. There have been a lot of changes between the 6 week and soon 8 week visit in capabilities. Wait till you see them.

They are also full of it. They jump. They run and act silly. It's fun!

Leaps and Attempts

The pups are really full of it. They really really enjoy outdoors but Mother Nature is not cooperating. 

Still we open up the bedrooms at times so they have more area to run in and they are really goods at running these days. 

I tried to get videos of them at their level so you had an interesting perspective. I like watching them from that level so I figured you may. 

The pups are also doing interesting leaps or slides off the slide. You can catch all that in the videos.

1st Ever 2 Deck Play

Here is the gallery of the morning 2 deck play - 1st time.

How did they do? Pretty spectacular and they appreciated the extra room. Some hesitated till they figured out how to go down and all figured how to go up. We have a ramp and stairs with soft landings and chairs. Some are pretty creative on how they maneuver down to the bottom deck.

Consistency

We are practicing correction. You say correction of what? Eating my toes and socks. I vow to get them to stop. It downright hurts and not a desirable habit but they are teething. This too shall pass.

You simply have to be consistent - which I am.

Transitions

Willow likes her comfort. She truly does and going up high stops them from feeding. They are feeding from moms rarely now and therefore they are eating more. I guess moms had so much milk that they didn't need much solid food but they need to make the transition.

This is a good leap for them and for moms. Moms won't have to deal with teeth and well that plain hurts especially on sensitive areas. 

The pups are growing up.

No Outside Today

It is ever so cold out. We had snow flakes going on so inside play it is. Dennis is playing with them upstairs as I type. It's been a crazy busy day. 

The pups are actually getting quite good at the running. It is amazing how fast they are.

Upstairs Fun

I went digging to bring out things that they haven't been exposed to and found this tunnel that all the dogs adore. I got it on Amazon and I haven't looked lately but I think it came in 2 colours. This crew indeed enjoyed it. I need to look at what else I can find.

They were upstairs this afternoon due to the rain. Before bed, I will have them upstairs again and then when they go to sleep, I will have to come downstairs and do pads, dishes and xpen clean up plus laundry. When it is just you, it is a LOT of work. I look forward to bed tonight. LOL

Pups had fun upstairs today. It was dry and warmer though we do not have our heat on.

After Visit

This was after the afternoon visit. Some are in the open doored crates so I didn't click them all. All are asleep though. I just changed the water in their pen, which I do multiple times a day. The appreciate clean cool water. Not a soul woke up. They are essentially dead to the world momentarily. It's a riot. Two days of 2 visits a day does that.

I do believe they enjoyed all the humans. Thank you for coming. Cool returns to the weather and our routine goes back to normal. Videos getting uploaded shortly from the afternoon visit.

Afternoon Saturday Visit

The pups were lively and had a lot of fun and then the heat arrived and they started to fade. Please realize that if a pup falls asleep 1st, it simply means that they were awake before they came out where others were sleeping. The smaller the pups are - like Nami's the more they sleep. That is also a factor. But eventually they all get of a size that this is not noticable in the least.

Thank you to the family that gave us brownies yum and James and his girlfriend that gave us wine. I may put some fruit in a glass, pur the wine over and take a nap. Just teasing but thinking... Still got 1 more dog to groom.

The afternoon visit was fun. Moms and pups enjoy the humans. They are sociable pups. They play. They wrestle and they leap cause in their minds they can. 

Tomorrow we have 2 more visits and then 2 weeks later we do it again. Can you believe?

Videos are up already and the pups in an hour or so are going to play upstairs as it is still hot. 

Come Monday it is cool again. Oh well...
