Poor Willow

The gallery can be found on Hallie's blog.

The pups descend on her like locusts at times. They will eventually be weaned. They are playing and truly getting better at their skills.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Ramp On

Gallery can be found on Nami's blog.

The pups got introduced to the slide and ramp and some of them persisted and succeeded. Others persisted and by play session end was accomplishing the climb up and down. A couple of them used the slide as well but mostly they enjoyed accomplishing the ramp. Way to go, little ones!

Be sure to check out the videos.

What is This?

Here is the gallery of today's play.

Some pups seem to pay attention to tv and ipads and some have no desire. This one is showing early signs of being fascinated at what they see. He kept looking at looking - what is that? He is a curious one.

Pups, by the day are getting better and better at what they do. I have even seen some signs of running. It's not done in style yet but there is a real attempt to achieve.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Changes Coming Tonight

Gallery can be found on the Nami blog.

Tonight the crew will head upstairs for overnight without the moms. I will try to get videos and photos. Tomorrow I will update you on how they did. We have a camera in the room so we can watch and I do.

Pups are eating sufficiently and are drinking water. They will be fine. We will see how the moms do.

The pups are really a cohesive group.

Be sure to check out the videos. I tried to give you more today.

4 Weeks 1 Day

Gallery can be found on Hallie's blog.

I think with a crowd, they are used to so much activity. That's a good thing. They trust too as midstream they fall asleep on their backs. Everything is right in the world. No one will harm me. I can sleep in an exposed fashion and trust nothing will happen.

Videos coming soon.

4 Weeks Old

Gallery can be found today on Nami's blog.

The pups are quite active and very secure with changes. No fussing. No hiding. They are good with change. If we have one that is, we help it along but this time no one has any hesitancy. Last time was Chai that we kept and she embraces change now. It is what you do with them and Chai got into a fear period that she wouldn't let go till about 8 weeks. If you coddle, they forever more stay in that mode as you validate the reaction. It is important that you don't.

This crew - they really embrace it all.

Videos coming soon.

What Changed?

Here is the gallery of all 3 litters.

Willow obviously knows which pups are hers. Today though, she didn't complain and fed whomever wanted to feed. It may have been due to the fact that she was almost bursting. Pups actually went 3.5 hours between a feeding so she needed the relief.

Pups do not care. Just feed me but if they are on someone else, they go to say hello to their mom after they feed. They know too but are equal opportunity beings. LOL

Dennis said the pups went 5 hours between a feeding but they had solid food. That is a long time.

They are sleepin ng quite a bit at this stage.

Videos coming in a bit.

How Did They Do?

See Hallie's blog for the gallery link.

How did the litters do with the combining? They were more than fine - certainly better than us. LOL

Willow only wants to feed her pups so you best get it right. Nami's is really easy to distinguish. That 1st feeding was confusing. Plus doing it alone is funny. So, I printed out a photo of each litter and I separated myself the next feeding and did it almost completely correct. I looked at the papers to confirm and I had 1 wrong. Of course looking at the photos and not being flustered, it will get to be the norm as to who goes where. I just now went into the pen after they came down and was able to figure it out. Practice makes perfect.

So, I get that you may be confused as to who belongs to whom but I will tell you, it DOES get easier. It is why those individual photos help and 1 week before the visit, I will do them again.

One of Willows already have teeth but I admit I have not put my finger in all the mouths to confirm who has what.

The pups had NO transition. I am amazed.

Videos are up.

3 Weeks 4 Days Individual Shots

I am working on getting individuals up on each litter. I am not sure what else I will get done as I will be out with the daughter. But hopefully this is good enough.

Here is a gallery of their 1st upstairs, 1st eating and individual shots.

Videos of all of it is coming shortly. Maybe by the time you notice the blogs.
