Last Night and Today

Here is a video of her nesting at 835am
Poor thing is shivering up a storm and doesn't want to lay long in my lap.

We had a long last night. She is indeed shivering. Emptying her bowels. Today more. I am not taking her temps though as it is now uncomfortable. You can feel the pups have moved into position. As we can't know what time she will have pups, I will be sending pups home, watching her on camera and being completely exhausted and Nathan just mentioned he was up half the night in anticipation. I stayed downstairs so that wouldn't happen. All I can do is shake my head. Who is more tired? I am not up for that one. If he had stayed up with her all night, I would have slept and waited for the call. So, when will she have the pups? Today. When will I get 2 dogs washed to go home? Today. When will I sleep? I haven't a clue but I know I need a cold shower to wake up after breakfast when someone can watch Spirit and a nap - I suppose Nathan will need one first. Gad help me.

Yeah I am in that type of a mood. Did watch Matrix. Just as cool as it was when it debut. Haven't seen that in a long time and we went from the recliner to the couch back and forth as she was very restless.

I just finished washing her bum as she is still at that stage. Wouldn't it be nice if she had pups before the send offs.

At 810am she is sleeping. Just clicked the above photo. I want to sleep too.

Temps at Lowest

Her temps about 530pm is 98.0. It means most likely within 12 to 24 hours but she was nesting. She is now sleeping. I wish I was. Soon is my guess.

It is back up to 98.3 at 915pm. I am going to stay downstairs with Spirit, Dennis and Nathan will sleep with the dogs. We shall see how the night goes.

Another Day

First time in whelping box on this journey.

Her temps are now at 98.3 at 12:12pm

All I can say is when the vet is wrong she is really wrong. LOL It is Saturday. Temps are the same. I have my full to the brim Maui coffee. I have 3 pups to wash, 3 to go home and 2 adults. Yesterday I sat in the recliner with Spirit and promptly fell asleep without eating a meal. I weighed 1lb more than the day before. Scales are remarkable for pups as they help you follow their progress. Not so much for humans. I rarely check myself but with these last set of pups and my schedule, I lost 20lb. It just happened. I did not plan it nor was it my goal but good for bathing suit season, I suppose. Weight has never been something I strived for. Fitting in clothes are so I don't have to buy new. Even then, not a goal. But with pups - I weigh them at first 3 times a day and then down to twice 12 hours apart. Let's see what happens with this set of pups. LOL Three more days and Tempie gets her xray. Four more days we are left with only Kinsey. Nathan will take her over and I will let him as the pups make him happy. The things we do for people we love.

Now this is my long morning diatribe.

Temps and All

Still up. We are going to bed. If the vet didn't say they were imminent, I wouldn't be fretting. Living in the land of no sleep and naps for an hour to reciver. I place her on my lap and nod off dead asleep.

At night I sleep with the light on so I can see. Just think I get to do this with Tempie soon. At least Tempie sleeps wrapped around my head and licks my face half teh night so I can wake ip and check on Spirit. Living in the land of what parents do - always aware of movement.
